Bluefields Bay Villas rings with authenticity. It’s a rare all-inclusive experience where guests are immersed in the Jamaica that existed before tourism - staying in cottages isolated from each other and the rest of the world. This is the leeward side of the island, so the waters – and life – are calm around here.

Just returned from a 5 night stay in one of the Suites! A very unique luxury experience. There are only 4 suites (so max occupancy of 8!) which allows for a very intimate experience. There are 4 villas for larger groups but they have their own chefs and butlers. The suite itself was beautiful. Very cool architecture- including a shower that opened to the ocean front balcony. That large balcony had beautiful sunset views as well as a soaking tub. The suite was also very clean. The meals are served in the “Treehouse” restaurant on very formal elegant China. You have a choice of 2-3 entrees for each meal and a small dessert is always served. There were two different chefs and one was much friendlier than the other though the food was fabulous! The beach is small but nice. Mon motorized water sports are included. It does take about 90 minutes from MBJ - about 60 minutes of those are on really poor streets - potholes like I have never seen! The driver said they are building a highway that will cut the time in half. We did 2 couples massages. No spa on site so the therapists came to our suite and set up on the balcony. Lovely! If you are looking for a crazy time with pool activities and karaoke this is not for you. But if you are looking for a place to recharge and get spoiled you should book asap! We had never been before the Hurricane so can’t really comments on the before and after but the owners have worked tirelessly to get the resort back in service. Honestly the only disruption we noted was no bananas which is obviously not a hardship. The greenery is starting to grow back. There are still people with no roofs or electricity so we were glad to support the island economy.

Yes, you should still go. Despite recent hurricane, we had a wonderful stay. Staff was very attentive, looking for ways to help improve our stay. This was a really unique thing for us to experience. The meals were wonderful and it was nice to not have to go out to a restaurant every night with kids. The beach was small although adequate for our needs and great for kids. Watersports/beach attendants were so kind and accommodating. Nanny was helpful in keeping our toddler entertained and safely occupied so we could have some down time. We had fun on the YS falls trip. Staff accompanied us to help on the trip which was a nice touch. Small suggestion would be to have a way to fill a reusable water bottle in the villa. I hate using so many plastic bottles. This is a great place for a multigenerational family or a family with young kids. We would like to return someday soon. Thank you for sharing your beautiful island with us.

Even post hurricane Melissa, Bluefields continues to shine. The amazing and wonderful staff, excellent food and overall relaxation in paradise vibe makes this an easy choice for a couples getaway. Cannot recommend enough. The only downside is once you stay at Bluefields, you will be forever spoiled. Hard for any other resort to deliver the same quality of service, included amenities, friendly and attentive staff who remember you and your preferences and beautiful setting.

The location, the views, the food, the staff — all of it is beyond a 5. If you are looking for a relaxed yet pampered location, then look no further. If you watch Below Deck, this is the guest experience yet on land. We stayed at Mullion Cove as it was only two villas open due to the hurricane, besides the suite. Even though the island does not yet have power throughout you would never know it while staying here. The website does an excellent job of explaining the experience. However, due be mindful that not all of the experiences listed on the site are free. We already knew this as they provided an online packet ahead of time. This really made for a smooth experience. We cannot thank the staff enough, from the owners, Debbie, Houston, Kate, to those that took care of us, Nadia, Sharon, Loretta, Tevin and Andy as well as Dwayne. Also to all those behind the scenes, the laundry ladies, the gardener, Percy the driver, and more…thank you. We have already made our air reservations to come back.

We were extra specially, pleasantly surprised when we visited this vacation spot. It is the best little resort we have visited across the world. *Intimate, small, private beach, cook to order meals, nightly tub baths on the terrace overlooking the beach, most amazing sunsets, tranquil, green fresh foliage. *Lilly and Bammie came running to greet us as we came out the car and became our furry dog friends. *Staff - well knitted family, please don’t lose that *Selfishly we don’t want to tell people about this vacation spot but we know we cannot keep to ourselves. *Staff* Danielle Ariana Stephanie Tevin Dwayne Rudy and Martino Shamrakaye This team is the epitome of excellence and they went out of their way to make our stay an unforgettable experience. Bluefields Bay is a wonder to behold. The rooms are elegantly furnished and decorated; fit for royalties and that is just how the team made us feel. We cannot forget our driver Percy who took us through the mountains to visit my aunt of 98 years and also to visit our grandmother‘s property. If you are looking for tranquility combined with exceptional service then Bluefields Bay is the place for you. We recommend them without any reservations and are confident that it will redefine your expectations of world class.

Our trip to the Hermitage FAR exceeded our (already very high) expectations. It was my first time in Jamaica - what an unbelievable setting in which to experience it! Jamaica was stunning and Bluefields Bay is serene and untouched. The location allowed for excursions to nearby areas so we had the option of being secluded and relaxed at the villa or being active and seeing the sights. The pictures of the accommodations speak for themselves - the Hermitage was beautifully furnished and constantly outfitted with luxurious touches like fresh flowers, crystal stemware, and a variety of fine china at every meal. We had a blast doing whatever we wanted all day and having our every desire fulfilled by the kind and attentive staff. I can't wait to return!

There are so many adjectives that come to mind to describe our stay, I'll keep it simple with INCREDIBLE. I seldom find things actually live up to the "hype" but Bluefields does that, and more! The staff was so attentive and the accommodations so luxurious, we felt like royalty. We would definitely come again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone we know.

We were drawn to Bluefields Bay Villa's San Michele property's very own private beach, pool and personal staff. The unobtrusive yet attentive personal staff consists of a chef, who prepares meals three times daily using fresh local ingredients, a butler, a driver, a housekeeper, who also tends to your laundry, a groundskeeper, a nightwatchman and a manager, who will plan day trips, spa services or other needs. The owners of the Bluefields Bay Villas have created a safe community by employing local residents, some for over 20 years. Two percent of the proceeds from renting the villas go to a community fund which supports local schools, necessary infrastructure, agricultural and educational needs, all while preserving the natural beauty of the land and sea. It is truly an all inclusive, restorative and peaceful getaway.
