If you are looking for a quiet, serene island environment....with world class Jamaican cuisine and impeccable service....this is the resort for you. A truly authentic "white table cloth" Jamaican experience. My wife and I recently stayed in one of the recently built Suites for our 27th Anniversary. Our experience could not have been better. The staff are so personable, after a couple of days, they feel like family. Sweet people. You will walk the grounds and be amazed by the variety of foliage...always perfectly manicured. All of your food is locally procured...and most is produced at their onsite farm. Highly recommend a hike up the mountain with a "true Rasta guide", supplied by the resort. You'll learn about dozens of leaves and fruits that are just growing wild as you make you way up the mountain. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet the legendary Jamaican, "Bob", who lives at the top of the mountain. Go to YS Falls, the largest waterfall on the island, and swim in the Falls. Also, there are numerous other activities and excursions their concierge can arrange for you. The owners, the Moncures, have run Bluefields Bay for over 30yrs. Their children grew up on the resort and are now involved in managing it. No doubt they have perfected the "Jamaican experience." Book it, if you can get a spot.

The food is by far the best food we have had on any trip. And the property’s scenery is spectacular! The staff are amazing and will fulfill any request. Every day was relaxing and perfect. And the dogs are the greatest co-guests. We will return…

This place is special! We rented the San Michele villa and had plenty of space for the 8 of us (2 adults and 6 children). The staff was outstanding in terms of their hospitality and service. Everyone from the butlers to the chefs and landscapers were delightful. The location is also perfect as we had access to our private pool, pavilion and small island - in addition to being right on the ocean. We have been all over the world and the experience at Bluefields Bay was top notch. One word of caution.... if you stay at this villa, you are near the road. As such you will hear trucks and other noises throughout your stay. For us it wasn't a major issue, but it is worth mentioning for those who crave a quieter experience.

The villa, service staff and food, especially the soups, were excellent. Pure luxury. We stayed at Mullion Cove Villa. The service staff were attentive to all of our needs and more. A special effort was made to celebrate 2 birthdays with a cake and decorations. Having our own pool was wonderful. The rooms and bathrooms are large and welcoming. The beds and pillows were excellent. We loved every moment of our stay and plan to return for another luxurious and relaxing vacation.

Owners Deb and Braxton were welcoming, friendly and attentive to our every need. They were always available and were both very interesting people who became more friends than owners by the time we departed. The food was amazing. Really the best Jamaican food we’ve had after multiple trips to the Island. We were able to develop personal relationships with our chef and waitress and beach attendants. All the people were marvelous and made us feel like family. We stayed in a suite. It was lovely, comfortable, and convenient. The suite pool which might have been our private pool was big enough for us to swim laps and it goes without saying that the views, the birds, and the Caribbean were all wonderful. We were there for three weeks and were sorry to leave. Definitely coming back.
