First time in Cabo and this resort did not disappoint! A lot of the reviews here complain about having to wait to get into restaurants. We only had to wait once and then it was only 30 minutes. The food was all delicious, especially breakfast at the seaside grille. The French restaurant was so beautiful inside (it has a “formal” dress code, basically men need to wear long pants). Every evening there was musical entertainment by the fire pit just off the lobby bar, and some kind of show down by the beach. Bring a light jacket or sweater as it gets cool in the evenings. You cannot get into the water directly in front of the property, a man will blow a whistle if you try (guilty!) the waves were pretty big and loud but the rooms were quiet. You can see whales from the shore so keep your eyes peeled! There are two pools, one is adults only. Both have swim up bars and waitstaff. People do get up early and snag chairs, though they don’t put towels out until around 730. There is an app you can download which lists all the restaurants and menus, a map and a request service (for housekeeping, maintenance etc). They were very responsive any time I used the app. (The front desk will provide the link to the app upon check in) We grabbed an uber one day to go into town (by the marina). The uber picks up right outside the front gate. The marina area is super touristy with tons of people trying to get you to buy things or book tours. The resort was clean and beautifully maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful (except upon arrival we were shown around by a nice gentleman that eventually tried to get us to agree to a breakfast the next day in exchange for a discounted excursion. He claimed they don’t sell time shares, but he clearly was selling something. We didn’t go to breakfast and ignored the several phone calls no doubt trying to find out why we didn’t show)

I did not care about the food at all. This year food was so inconsistent and not even standardized dishes/recipes are served I asked for chilaquiles one day and they were great . the next day they gave me something totally different no sauce on the chips and served with lots of refried beans instead of sauce I sent it back, they told me the cook had an accident and they had a new one in training We went to the Italian place....excellent food. I requested to speak with the cook and gave him a tip and a hug (Irineo the best). I go back the next day requested the same item...they served a horrible "rice with broth " and called it risotto. I sent it back and the server told us to just try it.. he later came back with what was somewhat like the rissoto they served us the day before. He told us there had been a mistake and went off with a story Room service: one day the tortilla soup came with avocado the next day no avocado. The server told us it doesn't go with avocado. The fish was tasteless. I requested tacos dorados ended up being a piece of cheese inside the tortilla, no chicken, no beef in the taco, not even some salsa. I asked at the lunch buffet f they served spaguetti al burro and the cook said yes..he served me linguini Alfredo (sigh) Overall the employees work really hard, place is clean but the food is not good..they are trained to tell stories and excuses but they just cut corners on food. No fresh green smoothies as they did before for breakfast. No manches ni unos tacos dorados pudieron hacer bien, la hambuguesa malisima mi esposo no se la pudo ni comer.

We visited Dreams in Los Cabos this past February as a family - six adults and three children. Check in was uneventful - however no welcoming drinks offered nor any orientation of the property since we were first time visitors. We requested side by side rooms or at least close proximity, but unfortunately we were dispersed throughout the resort. That was disappointing. The Kids Club was excellent and our seven year-old granddaughter enjoyed her time there immensely - she often stayed until early evening. There were some nice movies on the beach for the kids. Overall, the food at Dreams was good and we enjoyed our meals at Portofino - the Italian restaurant and Bordeaux - the French restaurant. However, the service was inconsistent at Portofino because there were times we hardly saw our server. The buffet for breakfast was good and there was a varied selection of pretty much everything one would want for breakfast. Perhaps, because it is a family resort, it should be opened for dinners when you are dealing with little children. Seaside Grill was fine for lunches but it lacked sufficient umbrellas because not everyone wants to bake in the sun while having lunch. The evening steak and ribs at Seaside Grill was not that good. Quite fatty and not flavorful but in my opinion beef in Canada is much better. Oh well, can't have everything. We dined at Oceana several times and we always enjoyed our food and service there. The nightly music and entertainment in the foyer was excellent and we enjoyed the shows. There was no shortage of bars and many top quality liquors - some top shelf. For a family resort, the main pool was quite deep and a little on the cool side. There was a small kids pool below the main pool which had a popular water slide, but the location seemed after the fact. My wife and I visited Secrets several months ago and the pool was not as deep as at Dreams. Again, for a family resort high chairs always seemed to be an issue with never enough. The servers were always scrambling to round up two high chairs for our group. The cleaning of the high chairs needs to be improved because a cursory wipe does not kill harmful bacteria or viruses. Finally, as a family resort, the children should be served first because their attention spans are limited. The beach was lovely and well maintained. The entertainment crew with Diane, Brian, and Delmar were great and kept everyone busy. Overall, a nice resort, but there are many other resorts to choose from.

Nice resort with fantastic staff! Food at PortoFino was awesome, we ate here 3 times on our week vacation. Nikko and Santiago go above and beyond. All staff in the preferred lounge were top notch! Ruffo at the beach was amazing and all activities crew were great on getting the kids involved. Loved being able to see the whales on the beach!! Beautiful sunsets!
