We had a great overall stay at Dreams Riviera Cancun, and what truly stood out was how attentive and responsive the resort staff was throughout our visit. On our first night, we experienced a hiccup with very loud neighbors who were disruptive at all hours. We notified the front desk, and the resort acted quickly to remediate the issue by moving us to a new room. The process was smooth, and we truly appreciated how seriously they took our comfort. We did have a very disappointing experience with VIP Services, which are not directly tied to the resort. We were told—and confirmed twice—that a $200 voucher would cover an excursion to Isla Mujeres for two adults and one child. After sitting through the presentation, we were then told it would not be covered, and the VIP Services manager refused to even speak with us. This was frustrating and felt misleading. However, I want to emphasize that the resort stepped in and worked to remediate the situation, ensuring our time was not completely wasted. A huge thank-you to German at the front desk, who went above and beyond trying to help us navigate and resolve the VIP Services issue. His professionalism and genuine care made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Another standout was Manuel, the bell hop, who was incredible from start to finish. He was consistently attentive, remembered us throughout the trip, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time. His kindness did not go unnoticed. The nannies at the Kids Club were also amazing. They were so attentive with the children and organized a variety of fun and engaging activities. It gave us peace of mind knowing our child was in such caring hands. As for dining, the best meal of our trip was at the Mexican restaurant, El Patio. Our waiter Manolo was phenomenal—friendly, attentive, and made sure our drinks were always flowing and that we enjoyed every dish. His service really elevated the entire dining experience. Despite the VIP Services issue, the resort staff consistently showed excellent customer service and genuine care for their guests. Because of the outstanding employees and overall experience, we would absolutely consider returning and would recommend Dreams Riviera Cancun to others—just be cautious with VIP Services expectations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (for the resort and staff!)

Issues started at check in and never stopped. Room was dirty and dilapidated. Air conditioning motors, the toilet, and our sink all had to fixed on our 1st day. We paid for a Master Seaside Suite which was also part of the Preferred Club. We have many experiences with preferred clubs in other hotels (Secrets, Excellence, etc.) ... and we are still trying to understand what the benefit was from this service at Dreams. The biggest issue was the restaurants. We were told that no reservations were needed for restaurants (outside of teppanyaki) as there was ample space. Not even close to the truth. 1hr+ wait times for all restaurants. When you have young kids... this simply isnt acceptable and we dont want to resort to the buffet for dinner every night. I had to get hotel management to assist here eventually. There were also 2 weddings and a corporate event ongoing when we stayed. The hotel footprint is quite small compared to most. We liked this attribute because we've found with previous experiences that smaller hotels usually leads to better quality. That said, when these events start taking away resources or affecting the general guest experience... to me, that's a real problem. Aside from this, I would comment that the kids club is very good and the working staff at the hotel are very friendly. The kids have a blast at the slide pool and the guest entertainment is ongoing thoughout the day. Drinks were good and the food was average. Overall, value for money wasn't great. This trip was for our kids... and there were positives... but simply too many negatives to say otherwise

Great reception and good service. The app could be improved and we weee unable to book into the Japanese restaurant because it was either too early or already sold out. Mario at the seaside grill was amazing as was Antonio in the Huitsu restaurant.

Fantastic resort for family and adults. Staff is beyond welcoming and helpful. My favorite restaurants were Himutsu and Bordeaux (adults only). Lots of activities and every nightly show was amazing! Thanks to the e-team, Karla, Francisco, Edgar, Vivianne, Ximena, Oliver, Izzy, Jonathan, who were all so much fun! Make sure to try the daily yoga and stretch classes.
