Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

My husband & I came to Dreams Riviera Cancún with a group to attend a wedding. We arrived midday so our room wasn’t available which was fine as it gave us time to explore the resort & grab lunch. From the very 1st day, Antonio, the pool concierge approached us to make sure we were being looked after, showed us around & found us some comfy poolside chairs until our room was ready. The rest of the vacation, he went above & beyond his job to make sure our vacation was the best possible. We genuinely enjoyed our many conversations. He’s a very positive & knowledgeable person. Also special mention to Alex by the pool. And to Carlos & David at the wedding Overall, the resort allowed us to relax, eat good food, experience some good entertainment & feel like home for a week. It’s clear this resort really strives to make everyone’s stay the best possible The beach is kept clean & free of seaweed and is not busy at all. There are plenty of lounge chairs & towels for everyone. We enjoyed the adult only pool & noticed there was plenty of fun happening in the 2 family pools. The rooms are spacious & clean. We like that we didn’t have to reserve at any restaurant for dinner & never had to wait. There’s plenty of variety for food to suit everyone. The lobby is probably the most welcoming one we’ve ever been to. Day or night, people are there enjoying the atmosphere & comfortable seating. Whether you’re a couple or a family you will love it here.

Very fun and entertaining, with loads to do outside. However I wished there were a few more indoor activities because longer stays became repetitive and the heat was a lot sometimes.

We had such an amazing stay! We loved our room, the pool was very clean and the food was amazing! Shout out to Oliver for engaging us in games in both the lobby and on the beach.

Attempted to be ripped off by front desk multiple times; upon arrival we paid 400 for a room upgrade. We paid upfront with cash/card and was possibly going to use the credit earned from going to “upgrade our unlimited vacation club membership” we went to upgrade our membership where they tried to get us to pay 20 thousand to extend our membership. We refused and went on with our time. A few days into our stay the front desk agent who checked us in sent us a message saying he only booked our room for 7 nights not 8 which was what our reservation was for and we would have to pay more. We then had to go to front desk to speak to a manager who assured us no worries she would fix the error and not charge us anymore. Then at checkout they initially said we owed for our room on top of their 200 cash hold. I explained we paid cash and payment on card. He tried to say we owed along with the 200 cash. Then a manager came and states that we can take the cash back and pay the remaining balance when first associate tried to say they were keeping cash and charging us full balance. While all of this is going on our transfer from AMSTAR leaves without any warning while we are dealing with front desk issue and then we need to call a Taxi and pay even more money. No remorse or care from front desk agents or amstar agents. The bell agent was the only one who agreed that was not right on their end. This was by far our absolute worst experience with dreams hotel. We will not be extending our membership or ever booking another stay again after the amount of times we were scammed and taken advantage of. Beware and go to a different hotel.

This was our 2cnd visit to dream riveira, coming from acotland its the perfect sunny get away for.our family. Nothing is to much trouble. We've always had great service. GREAT omelettes made by PATY And we've had a few archery sessions with Jono from the entertainment team. The report is generally clean and the staff stay ontop of keeping things tidy throughout the day, For a big resort the maintenance is good and any faults reported are seen to within a few hours. In the evenings there is always some sort of entertainment, the fire show and magic show were our favourite. Foe a family with children, this pla e is great
