Relaxing time

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

This resort is not a party resort this is good for a family to get in a relaxing getaway. That being said there were several weddings while we were there and the music for these was loud but ended pretty early around 11 pm after that it was pretty quiet. We would like to go back when the sargassum is at its lowest point

The romantic dinner with Ezequiel as server was incredibly worth it. Great location, great service, great food. The Spa hydrotherapy or body wraps is a must

BAD DREAMS RESORT!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Bad Dreams Resort!!! Do not stay here this Hyatt owned vacation resort it has become a Motel 6 with shoddy service. It’s definitely going downhill in regards to extremely low customer service. Most of the workers there are burned out, careless and rude. Several encounters I was left excuses about why they didn’t have any extra food or drinks at poolside. The pool bar would also close at 5:30 PM each day? Several times a day they would have scheduled weddings, taking over the resort and going well into the night with loud music & partying. This would lead to one or two of the special restaurants closing because of inadequate staff. The buffet needs some serious improvement. The food is mostly dry, lacking any flavor and of a small variety. I was surprised that there wasn’t that much Mexican cuisine there to try out. I asked a couple of the workers that had been there for a while what happened to the resort and they said it’s not like it used to be with everyone happy working there. It’s disappointing as we tried to enjoy everything with our kids. Even the pool was very hot 95F! I checked it on my iWatch for the temperature. I asked them why it was so warm and they said it’s because the outside weather?? I don’t think this is true, I think possibly they don’t run the pool filter cycle as often as they should. Last time we stayed at another resort and the water was nice and cool, refreshing to swim in. The seaweed situation is totally out of hand. The ocean is unsuitable to swim in with the brown churning seaweed infested water and the rotten smell of eggs throughout the resort. Every day all you see is a couple guys with rakes and wheelbarrels working for a couple hours until they are exhausted and leaving the mess of unfinished seaweed everywhere. Please go stay in other resort with better hospitality, that has well maintained grounds and more food options that taste better for everyone.

Bad Dreams Resort.

READ ALL OF THE 1 STAR NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. Dreams Rivera Cancun Resort & Spa… first of all you’re not in Cancun, but in Puerto Morales. Poor customer service once you get past the front door into the resort. When asking someone something it’s like it is a big inconvenience for them? I could list many times where I was basically shut down for asking a simple request. Something as simple as asking for some french fries…Getting a response from staff that there are no fries and it’ll take 30 minutes to make them while they’re cooking right in front of me?? Terrible dry, bland food from the buffet. Pool bars closing at 5:30pm? Let’s not forget about all of the daily multiple loud wedding parties into the night that end up controlling most of the resort!? This effects the other restaurants and closing some daily because of staffing. You could always buy a $30 bottle of sunscreen from their store and try and get a tan while laying on a seaweed infested beach and smelling rotten eggs? Waste or time & money if you go to this so called resort. This Hyatt property definitely needs to have a total makeover in staff, customer service and food service. Disappointing stay for me & my family.
