I took a last minute getaway to Dreams .I had never been to Cancun so deciding where to stay was tough. My stay at this beautiful resort was more than I imagined. The room was huge and beautiful . The staff throughout the resort made my stay the best Ive ever had. Each person greeted you with a warm welcome and a "its my pleasure" after a thank you. The food was plentiful not all of it was great but thats ok I came for the beach . Unfortunately there was so much seaweed I didn't spend too much time there swimming . But that is part of nature and cannot be helped. The pools were marvelous . The whole resort was spotless at all times from top to bottom . Quite impressive. I will always recommend this resort to all who ask . If you have children there is a kids club and lots of activities to do for them .

Today is our last day after two weeks in paradise, we came here for a family wedding from the UK. There was 7 of us in our immediate group but roughly 50 in the entire group. The hotel is in an absolutely beautiful location, the hotel and grounds are SPOTLESS, the staff here work extremely hard to keep it all clean and tidy, the toilets are constantly being cleaned and they do an excellent job. The pool and beach are lovely, there is quite a lot of seaweed on the beach at times but they work very hard to clear it. This is not a resort if you want a quiet relaxing holiday, there are a lot of children and a lot of wedding parties (and so lots of drinking at the pool bar and beach bar), the music is also very loud and played throughout the resort. There is always something going on which is nice although some of the activities are a bit weak - for example the aqua aerobics consists of an unnecessarily long warm up and a silly cool down which take up a lot of the time, I am being picky with this but as the gym isn't up to much for such a large resort, I was hoping for a bit of a pool workout! The gym is tiny but well kept and clean. The morning classes looked good but don't start until 8 which is late I think considering the heat. The restaurants are nice. It's odd that you can't book them in advance so sometimes we had to wait over an hour for the table. Service is generally very slow wherever you are, we did a lot of waiting for food and drinks which was fine because we weren't in a rush but it did mean we often wouldn't finish eating until gone 10pm. The resort staff were in two categories- either an absolute pleasure and couldn't do enough for you or completely miserable and not interested in you at all. Some of the staff who we loved included Ligia (who remembered our name from day one) Deysi in Coco Cafe who was absolutely lovely, Fransisco in Himitsu and Alberto in Oceana. The majority of the waiters in the World Cafe were also great and extremely helpful. The World Cafe food was actually really good quality and a lot of stuff can be prepared to order which was a real treat and really nice. The rooms were lovely and the views great. The organisation of my cousin's wedding day was extremely stressful but that was down to Virgin and not the staff here. It did seem though that every little extra had to be paid for and it wasn't cheap - for example the reception room was only booked for a certain amount of time after which we had to get out - it was a shame because we were having fun and then children couldn't go into the Desires club so we had to kind of wrap the whole thing up. Why they couldn't have just let us have it for a few more hours was a mystery - it's not like they were then able to use it for anything else. We did a trip to Xel-Ha and Tulum, organised from the desk within the hotel. We were told it would take 50 mins to get there and we would be back by 6.30pm. It took over 90 mins to get there and we didn't get back until 8.30 which was just a bit of a pain as we were celebrating a birthday that night. Overall we had a lovely stay here, I wouldn't come back purely because I would definitely chose an adults only resort in the future and the actual resort was overall really small. We had a lot of fun, the place is beautiful and the kids in our party all enjoyed it.

My wife & I were spoiled from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. First class service all the way! THANK YOU! The only thing we regret was that we didn't bring our kids, so, we will be back! See you soon!

I was at Dreams Riviera Cancun for my nephew's wedding. It was my first time in Mexico, and my first experience at an all-inclusive resort. The wedding was wonderful, the facility was beautiful, and the service in the spa, bars and restaurants, hotel reception, and pool/beach area was friendly and very attentive. It was great to be pampered for a few days.
