2nd visit at this resort, we give him a second chance after come 3 years a go with our baby, we are very happy with our choice! Staffs are friendly, good service this time! We take a upgrade for mastersuite, thats worth every penny! What a view and 3 times the size of normal room! The resort is clean and the food is fresh and good! The only suggestion is the hours of opening for the restaurants at dinner. A lots of baby crying because they are tired and hungry. Can be a good idea to open portofino at 5:30 like the himitsu. More choice for family.

First all the GOOD: This our family's (including bringing grandparents) 3rd time to an AMResort and by far THE BEST time. The staff were amazing and made our experience that much more enjoyable. Special thank you to your fabulous Entertainment staff, specifically Rafael (BabyFace), Juan Carlos, and Carlos (Chicken Little). They were super with everyone and worked non-stop all day with smiles on their faces - they made our trip. AMResorts should be proud to have employees like them. Also our pool server Israel was fantastic and helpful when asked about things. The preferred Club bartenders Elena and Marissa were awesome too. A big shout out to the Explores Club ladies - my kids never wanted to leave their either. The food in the all the restaurants was very, very good too. We upgraded to preferred club this time and while out room was spectacular - another thank you to Yolanda and our nightly turn down maid - We were not completely satisfied with all that came with the extra expense. I'm not sure if we would do that next time. Complaint: We tried to get information on The Unlimited Vacation club that they offer WITHOUT having to take up hours of our time and no one would give us any answers/prices. As mentioned we have stayed at 3 other AMResorts and would like to see what the Unlimited Vacation package is without having to do the timeshare hassle. Overall I would recommend this resort to friends. Thank you AMResort!

Be aware of the Fishing guides they will tell you to get your FISH MOUNTED, however it is a plastic fish, then add a crate and freight which doubles the price. The people there at the booth sell you and get a commission ripping people off.

As the title suggests, I am only going to review the property from a solo perspective. Dreams is marketed to families. It is a family property, so if you are going solo, I'd seriously consider going elsewhere. The food is average to somewhat above other AI food. The beef is low grade and unless it's braised, is just not very good. The restaurants are hit and miss depending on what you order. The pool(s) are right next to each other with the infinity pool having the swim up bar, which oddly, has a frozen drink machine for the kiddies to float up to. I personally have issue with children at any bar, as I do not frequent their playgrounds but that's just me. The property is clean, the rooms are nice and the staff is as friendly, which seems to be in almost every review at every property in Cancun. Call alcohol must be requested and premium spirits only seem to be available in the Preferred Lounge and lobby bar. Your preferred room will have a bottle of JW Red, a tequila, and a vodka in mini airline bottles. That's right, one-ounce bottles. The one time I called for room service, the wait was over an hour so I went to the buffet, World Cafe. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the Preferred and regular beach or any of the other upgrade amenities with the exception of the Lounge. So, if you come to Mexico to eat room temperature sushi, you can usually find some there with other bite-sized snacks. My favorite part of Dreams, was the ability to walk along the beach to the town of Puerto Morelos to eat and get away. Towels flow freely and there isn't an issue getting a spot at the pool or on the beach. Speaking of the beach, although it wasn't rocky, the water is not pristine, beautiful green and blue. If you're going to want to spend any amount of time in the water, you will be disappointed. In summation, if you're a family or getting married this is a perfectly fine place. If you're elderly and like watching kids running around and you're not a picky eater, you will be fine. Outside of that, keep looking.
