Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

Greatest vacation we have ever had. Enjoyed the resort so much. The resort has tons of activities. So you can choose to be involved in things or choose to do nothing. We went on the included bike tour twice in a week, as it was free & a lot of fun. Jonathan, Francisco & another guy that led the bike tour were all awesome! Jonathon was great & very knowledge about the history of puerto Morelos. Francisco & (darn! He was so nice & I completely forgot his name) was so personable and a lot of fun. We had a big group of #8 and after the bike ride they always said hi to us & asked how we were and what our plans were for the day. I will also brag on Fernanda at the concierge desk is amazing. We were celebrating my daughter’s college graduation & my son youngest son turning 11, she went above & beyond her job & decorated the kids room our last day there. It was so nice & both kids were very surprised. We enjoyed & getting to know several bartenders as well. There is not one bad thing to say about the Dreams employees. They were all excellent. However, your unlimited vacation club salesmen are sooooo pushy. One guy followed my wife & I into spa as we were trying to get to our appointment then lied about the company he worked for. We had a previous bad experience at secrets with UVC & we told him we were not interested. He can fly a kite. But dreams employees are all great!

This was our fourth trip to this resort. We have been returning because we enjoyed it so much. However, this visit was somewhat different. The staff members remain excellent. They are superior in every aspect. Everyone was extremely friendly and focused on helping you with anything. That is one reason for returning to this facility. However, the major disappointment was in the food. We visited last in early 2025. Between then and this visit the quality of the food, as well as the number of selections in each restaurant has significantly declined. I tried to learn what might have caused this, thinking that perhaps it was economic pressures. I was told that was not the reason. The only other thing we can assume is a change of personnel in food service or general management. Every time we ordered a beef dish, it was almost impossible to cut, even with a steak knife. You have to saw the meat apart. The various chicken dishes were extremely overcooked, and chicken was dry and tough. It was not just our observation as other guests we spoke with shared the same opinion, but most people donot want to complain.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dreams Rivera Cancun! There were seven adults (my parents in their 70's, and my siblings and their spouses and me all in our 40's). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and always went the extra bit to be sure we were comfortable and having a good time. Everything was super clean. On my birthday, the pool waitstaff brought me a dessert and had the entire pool area sing! It was so fun! Would definitely go back!

Shantall, Wilbert and Vincente at the Preferred bar are the most AMAZING STAFF. Shout out also to Josue, Alexander , Daniel from the swim up bar and Paulina the best waitress! This was our 4th year coming to this resort and we keep coming back because of the staff! We love this resort!

Had a great time at this resort ! The rooms were clean and spacious. The maids did an amazing job every day cleaning our rooms and leaving us treats! You do wait a while for dinner reservations but every meal was worth the wait! Especially the mexican, italian and japanese! The main lobby bartender Clever was AMAZING!! Remembered all of names and drinks by the second day! Uzzy from the entertainment team went above and beyond everyday. Thank you to him for making our week extra special. Definitely recommend the bike tour into puerto morelos!!
