Food was not very good and the wait was extremely long in all of the restaurants I went to. Everytime I or my husband or anyone from our party really asked for another dish off the menu after I already ordered the wait staff made it seem like it was a difficult task to make like it was something they couldn’t do. It made us feel like it was an inconvenience for the staff. The wait for staff to take our orders was long the wait to get our drinks was long the wait to get our actual meal was long. Waiting for our food took up a good part of our days. The restaurants state they close at 11 but I would go at 10:30 to request food or just anything to eat really and the restaurants were already closed. There was really nothing to eat but room service and it took such a long time to get your rooms besides not having a good variety and it not being very good. Why couldn’t the staff take my order at 10:30 if the restaurant closes at 11? At the bars I would ask for chamoy to be added to the rim to my michelada along with tajin and they told me they don’t do that they couldn’t do it they didn’t have it. But days later the snack bar at by the pool had it. I called room service several times and they would take over 40 minutes even for a simple cut of tea. At swim up bar I asked for mojito bartender told me he doesn’t make that to go to a different bar. Why couldn’t have made it for me? Why couldn’t he just called the other bars and had a mojito be brought over. I asked for 7 Mexican candy shooter he told me just had 4 shot glasses and to bring them back. None of the staff had smiles on their faces or looked happy. Even the drinks at the family pool they would take a good while to get to us. The pools would be closed earlier than stated there’s no nightlife the pool menu is extremely limited just burgers and hot dogs. The day before we left they had pizzas, chips and guacamole, burgers and fries. Over all not a good experience. I would not recommend this to others and I would not be coming back.

We had a wonderful experience at this Dreams resort. The food was incredible, the pools and daily activities were so much fun (truly something for everyone), the staff was friendly and welcoming. We felt very well taken care of. The kids club was outstanding. My kids adored the women working there: Fernando, Paty, Emily and Fatima were so kind, fun, and trustworthy. My kids were so sad to say goodbye to them. Thank you for such a special stay!

Dreams Riviera Review Unfortunately we chose this resort to marry on aproximately 18 months back and the resort we met in may of 2025 wasnt nearly the same in september 2026. I’ll spare you the Gory details and attempt to keep this high level and brief with feedback regarding the things that are of important to us all while on Vacay. ***Tip*** Beware: At Dreams Riviera Cancun, EVERYTHING’s A MONEY GRAB and UPCHARGE so pay attention Food The food overall was mehh at best (2 of 5). Further, the buffet was horrible (STAY AWAY)! Expect to be very patient during food preparation at specialty restaurants. Grounds The grounds are acceptable but the resort’s most CERTAINLY in need of some TLC. Please see pics for examples Staff and Service Staff and service was a mixed bag. Youll get few who do their jobs to the best of their ability but OVERALL you’ll only get the service you deserve for a tip (sooo disappointing). Vibe The vibe’s definitely chill and ideal for families. For afterhours turnup checkout Karaoke and the nightclub. Fun times! Fantastic resort, the staff, food, room, cleanliness and pools were great. The only thing I was disappointed was the beach, becouse of all the algae, but at that time of year it is a normal thing with all resorts in the cancun area.

It was a great experience at Dreams Riviera Cancun. The resort was beautiful and the amenities were wonderful. We got a plunge pool room and it was a spacious room. The food in the restaurant was very good even when the menu was limited. The stand out point is the Service. Every single individual were kind and always ready to help with a smile. The activity team was great in organizing the various fun events. Shoutout to Oscar, Johnathan and Papa Julio for all fun and games The pool deck manager was very helpful. We had preferred club and the preferred club bar was well stocked. The bar tender Alexander became our good friend and was very skilled in making cocktails. Our 11 year old son had a great time. We highly recommend this place and will return.
