The food is terrible at this resort. After 6+ people got sick on our trip, we asked the workers about the food as well as the onsite doctor that had to administer an IV, and they all said that they don't even eat the food at the resort. My pregnant wife was sick for almost 3 days.

I am here now. The facilities are nice, but to try to upsell you for the cabana thy purposefully don’t put out nearly enough chairs by the pool and the ones that are there are taken very early in the morning with guests haphazardly reserving. I choose a vacation in place to relax, not to fight for chairs. For this reason, I will not be going back.

We LOVED everything about this resort. I can not even fully express how amazing this resort is. Not only is it beautiful but it has hands down the BEST staff ever! They are so very thoughtful and consideret. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay and truly it was because of the staff that our experiences there were elevated. I had a minor ankle injury (100% my fault) and from immediately assisting me in wrapping it, to constantly checking on me, to providing wheelchair escort all over, I have never felt so taken care of. We traveled with our two daughters (4 & 8) and they loved the kids club! The dining options are lovely and the resort is gorgeous! As I mentioned EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER was phenomenal, the ones that made an extra special impression on us with their thoughtfulness, service, and professionalism were: Gilberto in the buffet (we truly feel like we made a friend with him and will come back to see him!), Alberto in the services area (he was so kind to understand my injury and take care of our unfortunate excursions cancelations due to my injury) and Rocio and Fatima in the Explorer's Club (Kids club), our daughters LOVED them. I didn't catch everyones name but EVERYONE was perfection! Also the lady who greeted us for La Petit Chef was so incredibly kind and amazing. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and are so very greatful for helping us have such beautiful memories of this Cancun trip!

The resort positions itself as "family-friendly," which is why we selected this property after our original plans to visit Jamaica were altered by Hurricane Melissa. The only thing I would describe as family-friendly is the kids pool with slides. Even that, though, was closed two days in a row to reattach pieces of the pool slide that were obviously missing the day that we arrived. Similarly, if the pools are going to be advertised as heated, then they shouldn't be freezing cold. The Explorer's Club has activities for kids - not families; parents cannot stay with their kids to participate in activities like face painting, etc together. The resort would be better represented as a wedding destination since there were multiple ceremonies and receptions per day lasting late into the evening. Loud music playing from multiple locations on the property until 10:30pm is not family-friendly. Neither is having a room and balcony positioned next to 1 of only 2 designated smoking areas at the resort. The rooms are non-smoking, but it might as well be allowed because families can't enjoy the hot tub, plunge pool, etc. on the balcony without being exposed to someone else's smoke. Lastly, there is only one restaurant open for an early lunch. Multiple days it opened late (i.e., the same time as the others) and both the coffee shop and Preferred Lounge had not been restocked with food for my kids to eat lunch before their naps. We requested two cribs for our room, but they were not there when we arrived. After a full-day of traveling my baby and my toddler were ready to nap. However, we had to call the front desk to have cribs brought to the room. Housekeeping came at 9:30pm one night while were in the room and our kids were asleep. A "do not disturb" sign shouldn't be necessary that late in the evening... The hot tub was the main selling point of the room for my wife and I, since we were looking for something that we could enjoy in the room without leaving the kids after they went to bed. However, it obviously needed to be resurfaced, and rather than doing so, the property took the cheaper route of painting it. As a result, the hot tub was filled with chipped paint every time the water was on. I will not book another stay with a Hyatt property. We tried to make the most of things by rearranging our plans after the hurricane damaged Dreams Rose Hall, but I would not recommend staying at Dreams Riviera Cancun.

First time to anywhere in Mexico and what a place to visit and enjoy - I can say, that everything was wonderful and you have enjoy the inclusiveness, the drinks were wonderful, especially the 'Miami Vice'! Food was tasty and had a variety to offer...I love the buffet especially the breakfast crepes...wonderful - the activities were great too, especially the water zumba / water aerobics with Olive and Edgar were awesome the loved the water trivia...I know this is a 'family' resort, but we do wish there were more activities for adults...but other than that I would return - front desk people were AMAZING and helpful with everything
