We travel to Mexico quite often as a family and love the resort. In fact we were about to leave a great review but then we discovered our property had been taken. The customer service is second to none in our experience. The evening shows were great as well. The resorts cleaning and re-stocking staff are not consistent at all and arrive at all times of the day, so don’t be shocked if your room isn’t made up at 1700 hrs. However, be shocked when your iPhone charger gets stolen from the people trusted to you by the resort. Let’s see how this is handled from the staff as were still guests here for another 23 be continued.

The resort staff was great. Rain one day made things not great and the slippery tile in doorways hit my knee too many times. There was an episode on the beach between excellence and dreams which was extremely scary. The staff handled I️t very well and totally made us feel safe and reassured

I planned a destination wedding here and we had a group of 33 guests (kids, adults and teens). Maira Gomez was our wedding coordinator and I don’t think I could have imagined a more beautiful set up for our ceremony and reception. We were rained out, but our backup locations were beautiful. I’m a control freak, but after following her on social media, I knew I was in good hands, so decided to take a deep breath and let her do her thing. She did not disappoint. The day prior to and the day of the wedding were very hectic (I had a big bridal party), so I would suggest making sure you have a designated person to help you with all of the running around, etc. and making sure everyone knows where to meet for pictures, etc. I was not happy with the makeup services provided in the spa (I’m pretty picky), but they were very understanding and didn’t charge me for the trial. I would recommend that any Brides do the hair and makeup trial. We had a welcome party on the beach the day before the wedding. We also hired an outside photographer (Bicoastal Images) for our wedding day and they were absolutely amazing!! It was definitely worth splurging. I had absolutely no complaints with the food or drinks in the resort. My daughter is a picky eater, so we were able to order her a cheese pizza wherever we were. Everything was perfect and my family and I will definitely consider coming back to this resort again. The construction near the pool did not bother us, and honestly, I don’t think I even noticed the noise until I heard others complaining about it. All of the staff is very nice and accommodating. They have the best servers by the pool. You literally feel like you’re royalty there. All of the rooms had a good view, even if it was a garden view. I’ve stayed at other resorts in Cancun before, and I was worried it would be boring after a few days on the resort, but here at Dreams Riviera Cancun, there was so much to do and so many restaurants and bars and sitting areas, activities, etc. there is always something to do. We were pretty busy with wedding stuff so we didn’t get to take full advantage of everything the resort has to offer. As other reviews mentioned, the bathrooms do not offer much privacy, but it was not that much of a concern since we were not sharing rooms with strangers. Housekeeping was great, we always came back to the room to fresh sheets and a nicely made bed. We booked a few excursions with the Apple Vacations desk, and they are very good with helping arrange everything. There are also some free shuttles that will take you to Playa Del Carmen which will help you save so you don’t have to pay for a taxi to town for shopping. The resort had some shops set up the first few nights we were there as well. I never heard any loud music or noise from any weddings or anything (room 1229) at any point. It takes a few days to learn how to maneuver through the winding paths. Since we had so many family members at the resort, it was a little hard getting to each other’s rooms since they didn’t put us all together like they said they would, but no big deal. Mexico is always a wonderful place to visit and we look forward to our next trip! Thanks Dreams!

this is a late review but trust the info provided will help would be travellers greeted with a refreshing facecloth courtesy of bellboy Antonio was welcome after a long transatlantic flight, check-in with champagne was efficient, although we did manage to miss a meet and greet invite for the next day The room was spotless clean and comfortable,Antonio took care of our luggage and gave us a quick rundown of the room Restaurants The food was high quality, exellent choice and always enjoyed, favourite dining was at world cafe A special mention to Santos,Armando and Cindy who looked after us like family at the world cafe, their attention to detail was excellent,Manuel and co. at the Asia restaurant were also razor sharp an engaging,we did loose the Oceana during our stay due to renovation, it was missed Facilities On-site facilities were quite good Beach lovely sandy beach with plenty of room, shelter and sun loungers,we spent the vast majority of our time here ,a big shout out to all the bar staff at the Baracuda swing bar too may to mention I like the ocean but the seaweed wouldnt be for everyone, bear in mind this is mother nature at work and resort staff done an exellent daily battle to keep it under control Also note my disappointment with HUMANS for the persistent amount of plastic rubbish washing up on the beach,te resort have no control over this at all but should be duly noted by all the inhabitants of the planet Long walks on the sandy beach were enjoyed every day, Security Resort security deserves mention, low key, always there in the background quietly paying attention Into week two i was ill and the beach security and swing bar staff noticed i was missing and enquired with my wife if all was well, very sharp pity we can't remember all the names concerned Pools We didn't use the pools but they were all immaculate clean and always busy Note the minor disruption during construction Weather Always enjoyed no matter what, tropical storms with rain were all part of the experience Most fun was the night time electrical storm, standing in the ocean with rain pelting down on me while my wife sheltered under a beach umbrella and drinking champagne at the Baracuda swing bar while rain is blown through by the strong winds FAB!! You have to love mother nature Staff Top marks to beach security who always kept an eye while i regularly went ocean swimming to the first aid staff who took care of my wifes nasty broken finger nail, all staff were superb

So far not happy with the open-concept bathrooms. I’m travelling with my husband and 2 preteen boys. Not any privacy at all. Frosted glass separates the shower stall(doesn’t completely stay closed), and the toilet. Jacuzzi tub is in the room with no privacy at all. I wish there had been a better explanation about room layout!
