Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

Our family absolutely loved this resort and all the employees. When we got there (our kids first trip 4 & 8 years old) we were told about kids Adventure Club. Me being the helicopter parent I am, was very hesitant to put them anywhere but with me. On the fourth day, they went for an hour and then a couple in the afternoon at their request. They absolutely loved it!!!! They had so much fun. They were in a protected area always with 3+ women and had a very strict sign in/sign out policy! The second half of the trip they went in and out once or twice a day and enjoyed every minute. This was a nice surprise for my husband and I, who actually had some time in the day for ourselves as well. Big shout out to all the ladies in the explorer Club: Rocio, Laura, Paty, Citla, Lore, Fatima and Wendy. They are all amazing. My kids cried when we left!!! Also, shoutout to Darla who made the best omelette every morning and the best smile to match! I can’t say enough about this resort!! - the staff is absolutely the best - the resort is made for families - very kid friendly! - it’s not too big, so feels more like home - staff remember your name and treat you like family - the spa was wonderful. The grounds and facilities were super clean always If you are looking for the absolute best family vacation you need to come to Dreams Riviera!!

Wonderful, extremely family friendly hotel. The kids club was the highlight. Our 4 year old has tried kids clubs before but not wanted to go, this time, he hasn’t wanted to leave kids club!! Wendy, Lore, Xime, Lau, Fati, Rocio and Paty are absolutely brilliant. The rest of the hotel is fantastic too.

Nice hotel with a great beachfront. The staff are friendly and hustle everyday. The entertainment crew elevated our stay. Oliver was amazing he is personable and engaging. His Zumba class was energetic, well run and a lot of fun. He made everyone feel welcome and kept the atmosphere upbeat all week.

Our accommodations were lovely and all the staff in the resort were very friendly and helpful. However, this is a place for families, not couples, and it should be advertised as such. The morning buffet is not large enough, so there were queues every day. The noise level was beyond belief with crying children and crashing silverware. There is no outside patio at the World Buffet (unclear on the website). The buffet food was adequate, but nothing to write home about. At the pools and beach, there are not enough deck chairs, and guests place towels to secure them at 6-7am. Even though the posted sign says towels will be removed after a few hours, it is not enforced. There are several options for lunch that we enjoyed- Barefoot Bar, Oceana, Seaside Grill. The evening restaurants are also very noisy with families dining late into to the evening. In particular, the Italian Restaurant Portofino was so bad that I couldn't carry on a conversation with my husband. The only chance for a "date night" the whole week was a meal at Bordeaux. This is an adult-only restaurant with attentive staff and delicious food. Unfortunately, it was closed two nights out of seven, including Valentine's Day. I am sorry to say that we will not return to Dreams Riviera Cancun.

Oliver and vivi was amazing. He was part of the entertainment team. 10/10
