Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

Not a 5 star resort and worlds apart from other dreams resorts. Having stayed at dreams tulum, this feels so so sub par. Chasing daily for water in the mini bar, asking 3 times for a broken iron to be replaced, asking for a hair dryer in the room that should be there, being given the wrong room after paying for a sea view. It’s relentless and tiring and such a downer on our holiday. This is 100% a wedding resort, they take over the pools with their own speakers, vape in the pool, one day someone vomited in the pool, a full blown fight in the lobby. No repercussions. I’m disappointed with Dreams this time, it doesn’t live up to the name. My partner proposed on this holiday and it was meant to be special, it feels very much less than that. Pool and entertainment staff you cannot fault, special mention to viktor and Alexander. If you have any interest in the World Cup, avoid the resort. They don’t show any games and their sports bar is closed. Wish we knew before booking. All in all really disappointed and won’t be back

We were there for a wedding and it was lovely. The wedding meal was exceptional. The appetizers were very good, but the location did not provide seating for all 80 guests and women in heels are not comfortable standing for an hour. they needed chairs!!! Ask what Preferred status is. It was lost on us but we were turned away from one restaurant for not having it. Didn't know it was a thing. Buffet is subpar, specialty dining is better but make a reservation early on in your stay. Waiters and bartenders were exceptional. Do not go in June, it was positively steamy, but we did not have a choice. but the AC in the rooms was amazingly cold!! Ask what events or entertainment is planned for the time you are there, we were given no list of what was happening, so missed a lot. Elevators were not plentiful. I had a bad knee and could not do the stairs to the fifth floor and not all the elevators were working so a lot of walking, normally okay but not this time. Hated the room set up. bathroom not private at all, toilet room had a glass door on it, yes frosted but still, is that supposed to be attractive??? Very clean and attractive inside, not much from the exterior to look at. We only planned to stay three nights, but had to pay for four, and leave after three, kind of felt ripped off by that, as the three nights were available when I first looked at it.

The resort was excellent. Lots of options for food and loved the food pop ups for lunch. We enjoyed the activity pool doing exercise classes and playing volleyball. The beach was great and we alternated beach and pool days. Can't say enough wonderful things about our hostess Estela that we saw everyday for breakfast. She was so nice and fun. She shared some of her family photos with us and we shared ours with her. We felt special that she felt comfortable with us sharing some photos. If you have kids or just adults, this is a must go to resort and the entire staff is super nice and friendly

Great all-inclusive resort. Amazing food options. Fun entertainment during the day. The pools are great for all ages. The service was amazing! Great time!!
