Lovely hotel, great Himitsu restaurant and coffee shop. Super friendly staff. Lovely room with plunge pool. Fulfilled a dream and swam with turtles.

My wife and I and our 16 yr old son booked for two weeks in June/July with TUI and were looking forward to the trip. The resort is all inclusive and we bumped up to the Preferred Club which in hindsight is worth it in our opinion. Would we go back? No, and here is why. About 20% of the staff are lovely but the rest just look at you and say nothing when you say thank you to them, not what I am used to. The hotel rooms are tired and need upgrading. The restaurants need to be decorated too, only two out of the 10 were worth eating in, in fact the Mexican was a disaster. The staff at the pool were poor and only on one day did they come around with cool towels or nice touched like that and we never seen anyone bringing around cold drinks for everyone unless we ordered them. Other resorts do this and it’s a lovely touch. The prices on the resort (in the souvenir shops) was extortionate €40 for suncream, €25 for a pool ball, €8 for a bottle of Gatorade etc. Don’t go here if you are looking for luxury and pampering. Then the biggest problem of all, the seaweed epidemic. This is a natural phononem that can’t be cured but this was the worst effected resort because they have guys taking the weed up with hand rakes and wheelbarrows whereas other resorts have proper tractors so it’s a disaster. Didn’t get to swim in the sea once in two weeks. Avoid avoid avoid, and I promise we are not picky people, we just want to get a bit of luxury if we pay for it.

The hotel needs an upgrade. Good location. Food was not bad, service is slow and short of staff. Employee morale is low. The Preferred club was good and cool. They need to build a true bar not a counter. Compare with others hotel VIP bar is not great. Room are old and outdated. A/C was out 2 times and maintenance not the best. The night manager helped me how to get it running. The 4th of July was impressive and the best I ever seeing in Cancún. The adult pool was very cloudy and needs a lot of work. Missing a lot of tiles. A+ employees: Santiago and Gerson preferred pool bar. Great service. Francisco at the Asian gave give us a great service. The 4th of July band was great. The lobby is dead at night. The last night the 7th the singer was very good. In general, I was not expecting an old resort with a lot of issues

We went to Bordeaux for dinner. Esequiel was our server and was great. The food was spectacular as well as our server. 5 stars for him for sure.

Hotel is beautiful but food choices are very limited, alot of sargasum but it is nature nothing the hotel cant do about this. Restaurants have very small menu. El patio was the only good resturant at the hotel in my opinion. Steak house was so so. Drinks are not very low quality. Other than thag, it is very beautiful hotel. Very nice workers.
