Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

I went for a wedding and Dreams did not disappoint. Since I was here through the week, there weren’t many people on the property, so service was absolutely amazing. Nothing was overcrowded. And even when it got closer to the weekend and the wait for restaurants were a little longer because of weekend vacationers, I never saw a lack in service. The Desires nightclub was pretty good too. Although I didn’t see many people in there until Friday night, I still had a good time and the people that I met there were great vibes. Just remember that kids are allowed at this resort, so keep in mind that there will be little ones out and about.

Hotel is nice. Our room was great. Pools are okay but cater to Gazebo renters as they block most of the pool. You have to get up at 5:30 to get a good chair/umbrella. SPA too expensive. Beach is nice soft white sand. Staff awesome. Uzzy and Oliver from Entertainment are so fun, work so hard and really made our trip! Seaside Abraham, Mario and Estela very on top of everything. Made us feel special. Food was very good. The main lobby is very very warm and fans are not sufficient. Our room was great as we asked to have a garden or pool/ocean view and had all that. We originally were on the outside which is not a nice view of an alley. Hotel also caters to Weddings which is nice to watch but limited our access to areas in a smaller resort so that sucked a bit. All in all most amenities, cleanliness, staff were great.

Overall we had a really good time at Dreams Riviera Cancun. The location is great, but just a heads up the ocean water isn’t that classic turquoise you see in the pictures. There was always something going on at the beach or pool, which kept everyone entertained. Huge shoutout to Oliver and Bibi from the entertainment team they did an awesome job keeping our kids busy and happy every day. The food was good, though the options didn’t blow us away. The staff, especially Arsenio and Estela at Seaside Restaurant, made our meals extra enjoyable. One thing to know the resort hosts a lot of weddings. It didn’t bother us too much, but if you’re in an oceanfront room, it can get pretty loud at night with music going until 10 or 11pm. We tried the Preferred Club, but honestly, it didn’t feel worth the extra money. It’s a fun place for a vacation, just maybe not the best fit if you have kids in the 7-11 age range.

I paid for a 2 bed room being that I was there with family for a wedding. They put me in a one bedroom room on the first night. Had to complain amd then they said rooms aren't guaranteed. I got a 2 bed room the next night and was never compensated for their mix-up. The staff are great, the manager, not so much. I wouldn't go back. There are better places to go. Then tried to overcharge my daughter for wedding perks.

Booked tropical with family – 2 rooms adjoining, provided same floor (1330 & 1331). Housekeeping was good (Nicolas) cleaned daily, provided plenty of towels. Turn down service only twice and Preferred amenities only once. Only draw back room faced main road which could be noisy at times. Food: Overall, food was good at the resort! At anytime of day, you had options. The buffet was good for breakfast, but not so much for lunch. Poolside chicken grill and cantina day were excellent. All the wait staff were very pleasant wherever we at and waits were normal. Special thanks to Esteban (Tappiynaki) and Ricardo the special event waiter (served only at the VIP Members dinner/lunch) Entertainment: The entertainment team was non stop! They were fun, energetic and very engaged. We participated in several daily events as well as with them in VIP Events. Special thanks to Uzzy for becoming my grandson’s favorite! Spa: The spa was excellent! The hydrotherapy on of the best small circuits all because of Wendy! She was so attentive and took excellent care of us! Couples massages by Victoria and Justina were superb! Beach Preferred: Bar & Servers and chair guy, were fantastic. Thank you to Harrison, Santiago, Eric, Ronaldo and, Martin. We rented a cabana and had great service all day with Martin taking care of us!!!
