Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

Our second time at Dreams Riviera. Brought our adult children and close friends with us. The constant upkeep and repair of the resort , the impeccable service, the restaurants, spa , beach , pools , bars , entertainment and most of all the Unlimited representative and staff were are top notch. And it’s much more affordable than Secrets and other Dreams in the area. We will be back

Great resort. Great staff. The food was good and the staff was super friendly. Best resort staff I have been to in awhile.

The rooms where awesome Oliver and uzzi on the entertainment team where awesome to play volleyball and ping pong with!!!!!!!

Tired, dark, damp and smelly rooms. Avoid the back of buildings ha 2 and 3 as they are so dark and unpleasant. The staff on the whole (particular the males) are fabulous but Ruth on reception needs to work on her customer skills. She was sassy and unhelpful.

We stayed at Dreams Riviera Cancun with a huge group (our family + ~24 other families with kids). We had a Preferred Club Family Suite, but Preferred felt meaningless. We constantly had to beg for alcohol that was “included” (we only drank Don Julio and it was always an issue). Service was wildly inconsistent. Premier Bar: Ronaldo ignored us repeatedly; Gerasamo was respectful and great. Pool area: the resort has a massive adults-only pool sitting empty while 90% of families were crammed into the family pool—overcrowded with no chairs. John promised chairs/daybeds and then didn’t set anything up and avoided us; Alex was kind; Victor was attentive. Food was a daily frustration. Ocean Restaurant: almost 2 hours for kids’ gluten-free pasta. Buffet was poor with no food labels; we were told no avocado while the next table had it. Breakfast “extra strawberries” = two pieces. At the Grill, asking for a second plate of fries for 4 kids made the cook visibly annoyed and we had to explain why. Beach was awful—dirty brown water with plastic bags/cups floating. If you’re a beach person, don’t come here. A few bright spots: coffee shop staff, kids club (Fatima & Wendy), magic show, and manager Jessica Biox tried to help. Fire show felt too dark/demonic for families. Bottom line: every family in our group had issues and none of us would return.
