Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

We wanted a first beach multi-generational family vacation with our grandsons ages 4 and 2. I read reviews for months and decided on Dreams Riviera Cancun. We vacation 2-3 times a year at the Secrets brand resorts so we had high hopes. Dreams is a step down from the service, newness and amenities of a Secrets but we knew that going in. What we were pleasantly surprised about was the AMAZING staff and accommodations at every meal, the pool, at the evening activities to make sure we were having a great trip and the family—of all ages—were having a Blast. We booked preferred rooms plus a preferred family suite and they were perfection. Special thanks to the team at el Patio—Miguel the bartender, Eddy the Chef, Cisneros and Raul the captains, plus servers Armando and Rolando who brought the CUN and energy to our special dinner celebration. Paulina at Ocean was a gem, Gerisom at the preferred beach Bar knew us by name after an hour. He makes an amazing Paloma BTW! We spent the 4th of July at the resort and it was a super-fun event on the beach. The fire show, the fireworks, the staff went above and beyond. Our sincere thanks to Alexander Diaz who gave us and our grandsons a front row seat to the whole show and fireworks. He made our night perfection. Finally, Israel Barrio, our pool server never was in our hurry to talk and laugh and serve us on a moments notice. He is a superstar employee and we LOVED having him all week while we enjoyed the pools and the kiddie pool. Our room—2548 was absolutely perfect. It had an ocean front view plus a jacuzzi on the patio. It was cleaned to a spotless standard daily and we loved it. The think about family vacations is the people who make the day in and day in experience fun for all ages and this resort was on point for our group. Many thanks to the team for being awesome. We had an excellent experience with al the stuff and specifically with Alexander at the French restaurant and we been so Lucky and the night after at the ocean restaurant! Also Arthur was so professional, we been impressed,

We recently stayed at the Dreams Rivera Cancun Resort and we had a blast! Every single day was filled with activities and loads of fun. I would like to say thank you to Uzzy, Francisco, Erwin, Yael, and Jonathon for making it such an enjoyable trip. Uzzy welcomed us right from the start and continued to have so much fun with us throughout the trip. Fransico taught me and my sisters how to dance and engaged in many conversations with us. We also spent a lot of time with Erwin during the activities and also enjoyed many conversations together. The entertainment staff makes the stay so much more fun and enjoyable, so thank you! Also all the servers were super nice. They are very hospitable and will make a joke or two to make it a pleasant dining experience. Our room was also very well cleaned and although we had many requests they always filled them with extra towels and blankets. This resort is definitely worth the trip!

Great resort. The pros are no wristbands, no towel cards, no reservations for ala carte restaurants. Big rooms with separate shower and jacuzzi tub. Several English speaking TV channels. Good AC. Very good restaurant experience with only one exception. Super friendly staff. The cons. Nightly entertainment was a little below par. The Oceana restaurant had poor service and mediocre food but the others were great service and very good food.

We once again had an amazing trip with Dreams Riviera Cancun. It was my 4th time back, and I am still amazed by the service, attention and hospitality this resort offers. The restaurants were top notch, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention those individuals who made our trip especially special. Pedro at Portofino is by far the best server we have had, and the entire culinary team at the resort are amazing. Abrahan and his team at Portofino went above and beyond any possible expectations we could have had, and Chefs Eddy, Giovanni and Victor prepared some of the best food we have ever had the pleasure of eating. The entertainment at the resort was also fantastic, and a huge shout out to the entertainment team (Erwin, Uzzy, Johnny, Yael, Vivi, Patty, etc.) who kept the energy high. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend choosing Dreams Riviera Cancun for anyone’s next trip.
