The overall hotel/resort and service was very good. We are Unlimited Vacation Club members so we received a little better service (VIP services they call it) than people who aren't members. The waiter service around the pool area was very good as well, whether members or not. One waiter, Santiago, was very good, nice, conversational, and took care of us most of the days we were at the pool.

Just know this review is based upon a comparison of different resorts. We were invited to join our good friends in Cancun, her company was having a conference there. Do to the late notice, we had to book a Honeymoon Suite. It was a little more expensive, but I thought why not, I bet the room and service will be amazing. I have to say, I was dismayed at the honeymoon suite. I think the only difference between our room and a premium room (which our friends were in) was the jacuzzi tub near the bathroom. Apparently, they knew we were not on our honeymoon, nothing special at all. If you are getting married here, take a good look at the extra room expense. Overall, I liked Dreams Riviera. It was much more modern than the last resort. All of the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Housekeeping was awesome, left water and snacks each morning. The pool was great, you could actually get there around noon and find a chair. Shallow pools, just waist deep and quite warm. Bar service was great and the food was good as well. The only downside for me was the poolside entertainment. So hokey, and they really did not try to engage anyone. The highlight of this resort were the restaurants. I was amazed how great the service was and the quality of the food. The steakhouse had a little bit of an attitude, so we did not go there, however, the rest were amazing. Food was awesome. The beach sucks and is full of seaweed. They do their best to clean it up, but it's in the water and wraps around your legs. The do have a great bar on the beach, with swings. The last part of the review is their location. Not around much... I think this a good resort, but I probably would not do it again. I am sure first timers would have a great time, but I might try something else.

My wife and I stayed at the beginning of May 2017. Our four day stay was awesome! Restaurants are great - elPatio is the BEST (and hope for Enrique as your waiter!) Pool is immaculately clean and the swim up bar was outstanding. However, the best thing, truly, was the service. Ever staff member for the entire trip was pleasant, accommodating and helpful. Whether concerning our room, at the bars or restaurants, or around the resort - they were all the best! This was our first trip to Cancun/Riviera Maya and it was memorable!

Mostly stayed in plunge pool with timeouts for sleep and meals. Thoroughly relaxing! Staff was always helpful, friendly. Restaurants were superlative! Weather cooperated. Bring your own reading material, nothing was readily available on site.

I took a last minute getaway to Dreams .I had never been to Cancun so deciding where to stay was tough. My stay at this beautiful resort was more than I imagined. The room was huge and beautiful . The staff throughout the resort made my stay the best Ive ever had. Each person greeted you with a warm welcome and a "its my pleasure" after a thank you. The food was plentiful not all of it was great but thats ok I came for the beach . Unfortunately there was so much seaweed I didn't spend too much time there swimming . But that is part of nature and cannot be helped. The pools were marvelous . The whole resort was spotless at all times from top to bottom . Quite impressive. I will always recommend this resort to all who ask . If you have children there is a kids club and lots of activities to do for them .
