Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

On arrival after 11.5hrs of travel the only bed made up was the adults. We are a family of 5 - ages 1,4, 16 No got, no bed settee, no bed for any children It took until 10.30pm for this to be sorted & 4 separate phone calls We had no working water in the whole hotel yesterday for 6 hours - no one could flush a toilet, wash hands etc. Imagine a hotel with 1000’s of people the state of the toilets. This is the second time in less than a week this has happened. The hotel absolutely STINKS- wherever you go. They have a serious issue with seaweed to the point we are woken up every morning at 5.30 By a tractor trying to move the seaweed - we have travelled all over the world and never seen anything like it. There is that much seaweed wherever you are in the hotel it smells like sewage. The pool that is advertised in the pictures is adults only. The only decent sized pool in the resort. We booked dreams as we thought this was a family resort. The adults Only pool is always empty, the children’s pool is small & you can’t move. No lifeguard on duty. The slides have older kids pushing people off the top of the slide, stood up & no one does a thing. Older kids constantly climbing up the slide. Absolutely not safe, especially for a 4 year old. WE WANT TO LEAVE

Stayed with family and friends. Had a great time. Buffet was great, pools were great, excellent place with kids. Explorers Club (kids club) was amazing, my kids (4 &6) wanted to go every day. Be prepared for some seaweed on the beach but we swam and it was fine.

Our experience at the boredeaux restaurant was incredible. We have been served by Kevin who is a great guy, speaks a clean english, very friendly and even makes jokes with us. The chef giovanni came to check with us if our meat was cooked the way we wanted. It is , by far, the greatest restaurant ouf the resort.

If I could leave negative stars for this hotel, I would. The service was awful, the food was absolutely horrific. You can’t make reservations at their restaurants you have to put your name in and you wait a minimum of one hour to get into a one star level restaurant. I can’t emphasize how bad the food was. Also, the seaweed on the beach was rotting and the whole hotel smells like rotted seaweed. And you can’t even swim in the ocean because all the rotting seaweed. The rooms are completely outdated and falling apart. The room service was terrible most of the time it just wouldn’t show up and if it did show up, it took a minimum of an hour and a half to get to your room. The pool was very dirty. There is a huge play structure/ water park in the middle of the resort so it could block your view depending where your room is. The walls are paper thin so plan on hearing loud music until 11pm from your room. There were four weddings in the 6 nights we stayed at the hotel. They make you leave the pool early and take your pool chairs to set up for the weddings.

Service was excellent!!! Very clean and had so much fun here.
