Just got back from or third trip and I'll try to touch on topics mentioned in other reviews. The staff here is wonderful. Notice how many people specifically mention names when they write reviews. People cry about the weddings but they have never been an inconvenience to us. Usually they are off to the side. The pools are awesome. Yes, there may be some kids in the swim-up pool but so what! This is a family resort so if you don't like kids, go to an adults only. The beach here is ok but the ocean sucks. If you need waves or crystal blue water, go somewhere else. The food, well, depends on your tastes. It is usually smaller portions and artistically presented. Our party has always thought it was pretty good. The resort can be noisy because rooms and hallways are all tile. Nightime entertainment is mediocre. We have gotten Preferred Club but never took advantage of the lounge, it was for the sole purpose of the premium room locations, which made it worth it to us. Some people have complained about the room layouts and privacy but I find them unique and not a problem. If you are unsure, checkout some of the photos. In the end, we really like the cleanliness and beauty of the resort and the ease of getting around from place to place. The staff is super and we have always made new friends with other guests. We have loved each trip which makes it hard to want to try someplace else. Our 4th trip to Dreams can't come soon enough.

I vacation in Mexico every single year and every year I pick a different place unless its just AMAZING and I may rebook. This year my friends were heading to Dreams for a wedding so I booked the same hotel. I paid extra for the VIP club. HA! I also paid about 600$ more for less days them past resorts. Because I paid more I was under the impression I was going to get more. HAHAHA... Yeah right. There isn't much difference between VIP and the regular level. Its not worth it. there is a different lobby area but that is IT!. My friends didn't have hot water in their room, When I checked into our room, there were stacks of dirty dishes outside our door in the hall, they were never picked up and animals destroyed the dishes., They remained there for another day. The chain lock on our door was broke, the Jacuzzi tub did not work and the hot tub on the patio is a shallow triangle. no room for 2 people. Maybe a few small children. No interaction with entertainers, shows were lame and very random, Room Scale did not work There is an hibachi restaurant, must make reservations, it was booked out for weeks, Normally VIP members are able to make reservations--Not here The hotel doe not have Hair Conditioner, so if you have long hair you will need to bring it our buy it. Went to the spa for a 50min massage- Huge waste of time, Worst massage ever! Very expensive. AND, the stocked mini bar only has random liquors, Red label, bacardi and Off brand tequila. Although we paid extra to have a stocked fridge, they give you 1 mini of each. No vodka. You must walk to the bar and get it. I only drink Vodka! Errr No wrist bands!!! , Anyone can walk up the beach and in this resort. so the guy roaming the hall ways near our room, I had no idea if he was a guest or looking to kidnap kids. you must carry your key around and you always have to tell someone your a club member to get premium alcohol served at the bar,, they hide it.. some just said sorry they only have the well. There was a family with 2 little boys maybe 7 and 10- they weren't allowed to eat at the French restaurant because they do not allow kids... So you can book a room with kids, but they cant eat at the French restaurant.. The everyday buffet was ok. Breakfast was good- dinner was terrible. I didn't even eat.

Awesome location and great staff. If you’re travelling without kids and are looking for a quiet relaxing get away this is not the resort for you. We travelled with our 10 month old granddaughter and all the staff were exceptional interacting with her. Alina in the preferred lounge was incredible as was Wilbert our waiter of choice at the SeaSide Grill. Esquier from the Bordeaux made our last night special. Had he not told us we would have never guessed it was his first night on the job. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Clean beaches. Immaculate grounds. Good food. Gorgeous hotel. Comfortable rooms. Treat yourself to a hot tub or pool deck. Friendly and helpful staff. I went with my sister and our 2 kids. We were apprehensive about going without men folk but I never felt unsafe for a moment. We were treated like queens. One of the best weeks of my life.

Although this review is "slightly" late (about year!) ...still we feel that we need to leave review for our stay at Dream Resort since it was unforgettable experience! We booked our holiday there in September 2016 to celebrate my birthday ... Everybody, from receptionists to waiters and room stuff is very pleasant and very friendly! Rooms are comfortable and clean. We had an issue that room above us was occupied by noisy family but after we have mention that to reception they have relocated us very quickly and without any problems. It is fairly large resort and it can be quite busy...we were there in September so it was not overcrowded. Food was great and especially Mexican restaurant...only let-down was an Italian restaurant, which in our opinion is not at same level as other restaurants in the complex. As I have mention, stuff is very friendly and they really try to please you and do their best ... on my birthday, we had bit of "crazy" day but at the end - all turned up perfectly thx to Hotel stuff and Management! On the day, we hired the car with AVIS and went to see Chichen Itza...unfortunately, on our way back we ran out of the petrol and then we realised that our VISA cards don't work on petrol stations! We didn't have enough cash with us, so we were stranded! Somehow we managed to communicate with one of the guys from Petrol station and he called our Hotel and they organised to send us a driver with petrol ...it was all good but we ended being stranded on the petrol station for 5-6 hours! That has badly affected our planned schedule since we booked a beach hut to celebrate my birthday! By the time we got to the hotel...hut was stripped of all decorations and taken down! ...one disaster after another! My partner went to talk to management and they understood what we went through and Hotel Manager told us...pls don't worry, give us an hour and we will get all organised for you...again! WOW! ...and within hour, management has decorated another Beach hut and made it looking very special with romantic lights and decorations. They even assigned special cook and a waiter so our dinner was completely off the standard menu! They really made HUGE Effort to make this day very special! …and it was – thnx to them! Dream Resort is great resort to stay in and it deserves 4 solid starts but as I said – Hotel Stuff and Management is FANTASTIC and they deserve that extra star on top! …so for us – this is 5 star rating!
