Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

Andres and Jonathan, both servers at the pool area, were an integral part of our experience! They made each day so enjoyable with their great service and wonderful attitudes. We had an amazing time.

We had a great time on this trip, mainly because we had some awesome staff down by the pool. Want to give a big shout out to Andres and Jonathan! They were both so helpful and fun, and Andres especially really made our trip special. He was so on top of things, brought us the best drinks even when we had no idea what we wanted, and we had a great time getting to know him!

We first discovered Live Aqua back in 2009, and from that moment on, no other destination has ever compared. It’s the only place we choose for our beach vacations. After so many visits over the years - sometimes multiple times each year - this is actually the first time I’ve written a review. Everything you’ve read about this resort is absolutely true. The beautiful, tranquil atmosphere, the incredible spa-like ambiance, the immaculate rooms, the amazing food, and the delicious cocktails all make for an unforgettable experience. Every morning starts perfectly with David at Siete, who welcomes us with the biggest smile and always recommends the most authentic regional breakfast specialties. Somehow, he even manages to have our mimosas and my carrot juice (to help me “tan” 😊) waiting for us before we even sit down. But here’s the truth… A beautiful hotel is just a building. What truly makes Live Aqua extraordinary are the PEOPLE. Every single person we encounter - and even those working tirelessly behind the scenes - contributes to making this resort the magical place it is. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care are what keep us coming back year after year. However, if there’s one team that has completely captured our hearts, it’s the POOL HUT CONCIERGE TEAM and our incredible beverage SERVERS. FLAVIO!!! ⭐ Flavio is simply outstanding. As the leader of the Pool Hut Concierge Team, he has created something truly special. His team works together like a family, supporting one another with genuine joy and respect. That kind of camaraderie doesn’t happen by accident - it reflects exceptional leadership. No matter how busy things get, Flavio is always smiling, calm, welcoming, and completely in control. He somehow makes everything look effortless while ensuring every guest feels important. His professionalism, leadership, character, and genuine kindness set the standard for excellence. Live Aqua is beyond fortunate to have someone like Flavio representing their resort. RODRIGO!!! ⭐ Where do we even begin? Rodrigo is one of the kindest, most thoughtful, hardworking, and caring people we’ve ever met. Every visit, he goes above and beyond to make sure our vacation is unforgettable. Over the years, he has helped create some of our most treasured memories and celebrations - not just once, but time and time again. To us, Rodrigo is so much more than someone who works at the resort. We consider him a true friend. He gives every guest his full heart, always making people feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. His generosity and dedication are remarkable, and we sincerely hope Live Aqua knows just how incredibly blessed they are to have him. Flavio and Rodrigo are the biggest reason we continue returning to Live Aqua. Every visit somehow becomes even better than the last (we still don’t know how that’s possible!). We cherish our time with them and feel incredibly fortunate to know them - not only as exceptional professionals but as friends. We also want to recognize the amazing Pool Hut Concierge Team, whose dedication, hard work and warm hospitality never go unnoticed by us. Their job is physically demanding, yet they greet every guest with warmth, kindness, and genuine smiles every single day. A heartfelt thank you to HECTOR, MIGUEL, DEMIAN, LALO, EDOUARD W., and MARIA. You make every day by the pool feel welcoming, comfortable, and effortless, and we appreciate each of you more than words can say. To our incredible cabana beverage servers - ANDRES, AMINEAL, JONATHAN G., ALI, and MARISOL - thank you for your endless attentiveness. Somehow you always know what we need before we even realize it ourselves! And of course… our amazing bartenders… ELI at the party pool and GUILLERMOOOOO!!! 🍹 You are absolutely phenomenal and always keep the fun going with your incredible energy and yummy cocktails. We had a wonderful stay at Live Aqua Cancun overall. The food was consistently very good, with plenty of variety and quality options throughout the resort. The service was also a highlight of our stay. A special thank you to Alex and Eladio, our butlers, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They were attentive, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. Jonathan, our pool waiter one of the days, was also fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of while at the pool. One thing to mention. The automatic doors leading to the pool level were not working during our stay, which was of note because we were traveling with someone who uses a wheelchair. They had trouble going in and out if they were by themselves. Ultimately a guest or staff would open the door after a few minutes, but something to mention Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Live Aqua and would definitely consider returning. The excellent food and wonderful staff, especially Alex, Eladio, and Jonathan, made the stay memorable.

I’ve been to Live Aqua before, but this trip was different. I returned to Cancun solo during a season of my life I never expected to be navigating — divorce, change, and learning how to redefine a life and experiences that once belonged to “us” as something that belongs to me. This trip was about reclaiming. Reclaiming a place I love. Reclaiming memories. Reclaiming joy. And proving to myself that an ending doesn’t get to take beautiful places, beautiful experiences, or beautiful parts of my life with it. And there was no better place for me to do that than Live Aqua. At this point, the incredible people here aren’t simply resort staff — they’re family. I can’t count the number of times that I was checked on. A special shoutout to Rosalino in security for his reassurance that I was safe. A huge thank you to Flavio and the entire Pool Hut team for ALWAYS going above and beyond. You have a way of making me feel cared for well before my arrival. My amazing butlers, Stephy and Viri — (my sisters from another mister) — you two are absolute gems. The love, attention, laughter and genuine care you give me means more than you realize. 🥹❤️ To my bartenders Hector, Memo, Rueben and Omar — thank you for the drinks, the laughs and for always remembering my drink of choice. Omar for going way out of his way to assist w a special request the day of my arrival. A SALUTE 🫡 to the poolside dream team — Monica, Marysol, David, Animal & Jon! You understood the assignment: kept my favorite drinks coming and NEVER let that glass get empty. 😂🍹 You all helped make my days by the pool exactly what I needed them to be. And a HUGE shoutout to Ricky and the entire E-Team! The Casino Pool Party was the BEST party of the resort to date (sidenote 5th visit and I was once there for NYE) 🎰🔥 You guys brought the astonishment. Thank you Elud and Mr Santamaria for trusting Ricky’s professionalism to coordinate such a wonderful and much needed surprise! Last but not least my dear friend Monserret in quality ( my very first connection at Live Aqua) who has always looked after me, my reservations and who quickly learned that she needs to ask all the questions prior to my arrival. She has saved me from loads of stress more times than I can count There is something incredibly special about returning to a place where people remember you, welcome you with open arms, celebrate with you and somehow know when you need a little extra love. I will never forget how everyone here went out of there way to make this trip special for me. I came to Live Aqua this time to claim this experience as mine and I left with new memories that belong entirely to me — full of laughter, adventure, freedom, friendship and a whole lot of love. Sometimes moving forward isn’t about forgetting the life you had. It’s about realizing that the beautiful pieces of it are still yours to keep — and creating new memories around them.
