Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

Great stay and the beach was pristine. Second time at this resort and won't be our last . Staff are wonderful and great views of the ocean.

You have a wonderful hotel staff! Your hotel is in a wonderful location with beautiful views of the ocean and your beach was very well kept. However, my room when I arrived had stain sheets, dirty and stained furniture, the bed base was torn, a mini bar that did not have any snacks with that had two drinks in it. When I made the initial booking, I specifically asked for a pre-birthday room set up arrangement and would’ve happily paid for it yet somewhere it was lost in translation because that setup did not happen. The Butler service for my room was invisible beyond text messages. In fact, the things that I asked for for instance, like asking for watermelon juice at 11 PM and being told it’s only available in the morning when I had literally just watched another guest have a watermelon drink of some sort made from a fresh large watermelon at the bar. Because my room was dirty when I arrived I was not comfortable Ordering room service are having my skin touch any of the furniture in the room. I also was not comfortable sleeping in or on the sheets and the bedding. This made my spy experience equally stressful because when I went to the spa on the second day I noticed even with the blue lights, the mildew and mold the broken tiles in the spa and lying on the spa table facing the shower I was able to smell the horrible plumbing smell as I was trying to get a massage. My spa experience was supposed to be a relaxing experience, but it felt like it was rushed. I was not invited or offered a mule in between or even us like a snack of some sort in between the treatments. I was just placed on the table and rushed through the treatments. After leaving my spa treatment, I really wanted to try the seafood restaurant and was looking forward to it. I went down to the beach and went to the seafood restaurant and again it was a rushed experience. They delivered all of my food at once which means flies were able to land on my dessert I had to rush through and eat my appetizer and then my ceviche had an old grease taste to it. I would also like to comment on the pool area it is beautiful yet the pool is gross. The tiles around the pool have mildew and mold on them. Some of the pool cabanas had ripped and torn stained, and I just did not feel comfortable getting in.

Ok Ok -finding an adult only all inclusive resort in Cancun is not easy. We were happy to discover live aqua. Overall, we had an enjoyable visit. But the reason for the three stars is because we have been to other similar resorts in Cancun and enjoyed them more. Service in all areas of the resort was great. This was the best part of this resort. Other highlights include our day at the spa, foot massages at the cabana on the beach, and dinner at the Hidden Garden. We were also on the Butler level and the additional service and access to the lounge was a plus. The breakfast buffet was amazing and a great start to every day. The negatives— nothing huge, but worthy of a note: -room service was horrible. Every item that we ordered was bad. Whoever made the tortilla soup should be assigned to beach cleanup duty and spend a year picking up seaweed. -maintenance – little things in the room that we’re not a big deal, but became an irritant after a few days. Like sink drain issues, a patio door that was impossible to open, a shower door that leaked all over the floor…. perhaps just a preventive maintenance program for the guest rooms would help. As for food, like mentioned earlier, the breakfast buffet was amazing. Another highlight was dinner at the Hidden Garden. Great experience. All the other venues which we tried, seemed a bit mediocre. Carnivore, the new steakhouse was not tried on this visit. We were looking for a getaway where we could go and do nothing except eat drink and relax. I think with a few tweaks, this resort would gain more repeat business. Service is there-just need a bit more from other areas. With so many options, you really have to hit every target to gain that all important repeat clientele. Still undecided if that will be us.

We always have a wonderful time at live aqua. The food is amazing and the staff is wonderful. Don’t sleep on getting the VIP. We loved having our own little lounge to go to for drinks or bites to eat. Daniel, Hector, and Ruben were wonderful waiters and very attentive. Down at the pool bar, Crescensio, Freddie, Monica, Myrasol, and of course Jonathan were the most wonderful staff and made us feel like family. Our butlers, Stephany and Viri, were so helpful when navigating reservations or specific needs. There’s amazing luxury shopping right across the street. The resort is beautiful and everything is well maintained.

This was our first all inclusive trip and we didn't know what to expect. We travel with friends that are family to us at least once a year and this year was Live Aqua. We were very confused and frustrated at first, but thanks to Louis' who came to the rescue the first night we were there it was a great experience. We can't say enough about Louis'!. He made sure we had reservations for our party of seven each night and then checked on us at every meal like we were family! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Monica at the pool bar was amazing!..she made our days carefree and fun, Thank you Monica!.also Jonathan and Freddy! The entertainment staff was also great ,Robyn and Pablo...they ran the volleyball game and all the other events...great energy!. Food was good, just know that at the restaurants you may have to wait if you don't have a reservation. All and all a great experience.Rooms were very clean and spacious and the cleaning staff was great .
