Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

Overall, this resort was excellent and we both very much enjoyed our stay! Check in - lobby is sleek but basic. The small reflecting pool with rubber ducks are a very fun touch and brought an immediate smile to my face as we walked in! Check in was very easy. Right after check in we got a soft sales pitch to sit through a presentation in exchange for discounted massages, one polite and firm no thank you was enough and for the remainder of our stay we were not approached about that again which was great! Room - Very clean and modern! We had a partial ocean view located on one of the outside wings of the building and the view was certainly partial but enough to feel like were were on the ocean so no complaints. Housekeeping and turndown service were always done by the time we went back to the room and they did a nice job. Food - Very, very good! It was a big factor for us choosing this resort and did not disappoint! The breakfast buffet was excellent and had so many choices. The fresh omelet station was a very welcome part of the day and a nice way to wake up. Coffee service to the table was prompt when being seated and they stopped by to offer refills often. Mimosas were good too! The included restaurants were also very good, we ate at MB, Sea Corner, Hidden Garden, and Carnivore (not included). Sea Corner is much more casual than it looks in pictures but was so nice to have lunch overlooking the ocean. The bbq at lunch time was a favorite! Ribs were excellent. It was a disappointment that Azure was not open during our stay. Pool - This is one reason I gave the resort 4 instead of 5 stars because it does impact the experience and it's annoying and what should be the most relaxing part of vacation is instead extra nickel and diming. There are little cabanas to rent that are an upcharge, which are very obvious why they cost more - much more shade than just an umbrella with a pergola style roof and curtains. However, both sides of the pool are lined with very few lounge chairs and mostly lounge beds with umbrellas. One side you have to pay extra for and the other side you do not. This is not clear or explained (seems like an easy opportunity to both explain how it works and try to sell as an upcharge at check in! just saying). As first timers at this resort we did not know any better and they day we got in, late afternoon, we just found an empty lounge bed parked our stuff and had a very relaxing time. Even ordering drinks from there and nobody said anything to us about it costing more. Is it free only after the sucker who paid for it leaves for the day??? The next morning we went to the pool, chose the same lounge bed and a staff member clarified that it was an extra charge. Everything free was already reserved (of course!) so we just paid. AFTER we learned this, it was a very nice experience but also not a ton of value for what they charge. When 20 feet away we could have had the exact same experience on the exact same type of lounge bed. Grounds - love the water features and the tropical feel! They did a very nice job with it. The layout is also nice, compact enough to get around easily and find everything pretty quickly. Despite how annoying that was, it was overall a very relaxing stay and the staff all provided excellent service! The beach is beautiful, even if the seaweed was an issue and it's always just nice to be next to the ocean.

This was truly one of the best resort experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, relaxing, and special. The resort was absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere was amazing, and the entire stay exceeded my expectations. What really made the experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The staff were so kind, attentive, and welcoming, and they genuinely made us feel taken care of throughout our stay. Everything from the service to the beautiful surroundings made this trip feel like a true getaway. I honestly did not want to leave! I’m leaving with such wonderful memories and already wishing I could come back. If you’re considering staying here, I absolutely recommend it. This was hands down one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I would return in a heartbeat.

I had an amazing time as a solo traveler at Live Aqua. You MUST have dinner at MB….I recommend the filet mignon. The property is beautiful and staff is accommodating. I started each day with a delicious, fully customizable smoothie from Marco. He was THE best and his smoothies are out of this world!!!

The experience at Live Aqua Cancun is amazing! This was our 8th visit and we are reminded why we keep coming back year after year. The employees, the atmosphere, the food, the cleanliness, the attention to detail among many other things that make this resort nothing short of spectacular! I have to give a shout out to a few people that make this place so enjoyable. Flavio, Maggie, Guillermo, Carlos, Jonathon, Alejandra, Lalo, Mauricio, David and many more that go above and beyond expectations. From arrival to departure, our stay was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks for making our 8th visit even more memorable than the 7 previous. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
