Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ My husband and I recently spent a week at Live Aqua Cancun and overall had a very enjoyable vacation. The resort is beautiful, the pools are gorgeous, the ocean views are stunning, and the atmosphere is relaxing and upscale. The true highlight of our stay was the staff. Monica, who provided pool service, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, kind, energetic, and one of the hardest-working employees we encountered. She consistently made sure we had everything we needed and always did so with a smile. Marco at the smoothie bar deserves recognition as well. He makes fantastic fruit smoothies and has one of the best personalities at the resort. Seeing him each morning became part of our daily routine. Our favorite restaurant servers were Armando and Victor. We actually sought out their sections because they consistently provided such excellent service. Armando's kindness and genuine love for his job made every meal more enjoyable. Victor repeatedly went above and beyond to create special moments for my husband and me. It was always a pleasure being seated in his section. Other positives included good towel service, prompt room service, comfortable lounge chairs and beds by the pool, the hotel beds were comfortable as well. We booked a Garden View room and were pleasantly surprised to still have a nice view of the ocean. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained. The only room-related downside was the shower water pressure, which was very weak. Those with thick hair may find it frustrating trying to rinse shampoo and conditioner thoroughly. The resort grounds and service were definitely the strongest parts of our experience. There were a few areas that prevented this from being a five-star stay. The food offered tremendous variety, and there was certainly no shortage of options, but the overall quality and flavor often fell short of our expectations. We found ourselves wishing the food matched the level of the resort itself. The drinks were another disappointment. Most cocktails tasted very sweet, and many were served warmer than expected. Throughout the week, we never really found a favorite drink combination that made us want to order it again. We also experienced some stomach irritation during our stay. Both my husband and I developed gastritis-like symptoms, and because we did not leave the resort or eat elsewhere during our trip, we suspect something we consumed at the resort may have contributed. Fortunately, the symptoms were manageable and did not ruin our vacation. One additional annoyance was the sales presentation pressure. We came to relax and enjoy our vacation, and the persistent attempts to get us to attend presentations took away from the carefree atmosphere we were hoping for. Overall, we had a good trip and made some wonderful memories. The staff truly made this resort special, and several employees went above and beyond to create an exceptional guest experience. While we enjoyed our stay, we probably would not return—not because we had a bad experience, but because seven days felt a little too long in one location for us, and the food and beverage experience was not strong enough to make us choose this resort again. That said, if service, beautiful pools, and ocean views are your priorities, Live Aqua delivers those exceptionally well.

This was our 4th stay at Live Aqua. We have gradually upgraded our room category and views each visit. Each time leaves us wanting more. The food here is better than any I have had at other all inclusive resorts. No visit is complete without the habanero soup from MB or crème brûlée from room service. If you upgrade to Aqua club, espresso martinis made by Guillermo while watching the sunset is a must. Breakfast as Azur while hearing the ocean is the best way to start your day. Outside of the pools, food, the ocean, the daily activities and the tasty cocktails - what draws us back every time is the staff. They truly work so hard to insure your stay is all you hope for it to be. They even have a phone line “your wish is my wish”. On this particular stay, our butlers Maggie and Carlos were amazing. Maggie was so kind and made sure she turned my frown upside down (long story) . She truly cared about my feelings and went above and beyond to make our stay the best yet. From soa appointments to cabana recommendations, everything was handled w a quick request on Whats app. Carlos also made sure he greeted us before dinner each night and was our designated photographer. He also arranged room service to arrive at sunrise on our final day as we had an early flight. If you want to stay somewhere that feels like home, visit Live Aqua, upgrade to the butler service and you will become an Aqua Lover too .

We have been many many times to Live Aqua and have the very best experience every time. The accommodations, food, beach, etc are exquisite. However, the staff and service is truly what makes the Live Aqua exceptional. We are always cared for above and beyond.
