Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

This was our sixth time staying at Live Aqua Cancun, and there is a reason we continue coming back. The resort is beautiful, the food is great, and the atmosphere is incredible, but what truly makes Live Aqua special are the people who work there. Over the years, many of them have gone from being employees we recognize to people we genuinely look forward to seeing every time we return. First, a huge thank you to Abi and Carlos at Concierge. They are absolutely amazing and always go above and beyond to make sure our stay is unforgettable. They pay attention to the little details, remember what we enjoy, and somehow always make us feel like our trip matters personally to them. Our butlers, Isaias and Alex, were incredible as always. And I especially want to recognize Alejandro, who is still in training. You would never know it by the way he treats people. He is attentive, warm, professional, and has such a natural way with guests. He has a very bright future at Live Aqua. Then there is Ricky Ricardo. We have known Ricky throughout our visits, and he has helped make every single trip memorable. His personality is one of a kind. He brings energy, laughter, and genuine warmth wherever he goes. Seeing Ricky again feels like seeing an old friend. And I have to mention Porfi. Yes, he makes some of the best burgers in Cancun 😂, but honestly, it is not even about the burger. It is about him. The pride, personality, humor, and love he puts into what he does turns something as simple as grabbing a burger into an experience. He is an amazing person. But one person who deserves a very special recognition is Ludin “Lulu,” our waiter at Azur. Lulu deserves his flowers. What an incredible human being. His service, attention, personality, kindness, and the way he makes people feel welcomed are on another level. He doesn’t just serve a table — he creates an experience. People like Lulu are the reason guests remember a vacation long after they get home. Live Aqua is very lucky to have him. From the moment we arrive, Diego is usually one of the first people we see when stepping out of the car. He always welcomes us with that huge smile and immediately makes you feel like you are back home. At the pool, Amibael always takes great care of us, and we absolutely cannot forget Rodrigo and Lalo at the cabanas. These guys work incredibly hard and still manage to make you feel like nothing is ever too much trouble. They are attentive, friendly, and consistently make our pool days special. And finally, Daniel and his wife deserve recognition as well. From seeing Daniel around Aqua Club to watching the beautiful folkloric performance with his wife during the Mexican Fiesta, it was incredible. Those are the kinds of moments that give Live Aqua its personality and make the experience feel authentically special. After six visits, we can honestly say we do not keep returning simply because of the building, the beach, the pool, or the restaurants. We return because of the people. To Abi, Carlos, Isaias, Alex, Alejandro, Ricky Ricardo, Porfi, Lulu, Diego, Amibael, Rodrigo, Lalo, Daniel and his wife — thank you for working so hard, for taking such amazing care of us, and for making every visit feel better than the last. Live Aqua has something very special in this team. Please recognize these people, because they are the heart of this resort. We’ll be back. ❤️🌴

Pool has a great view of the beach and ocean and is perfectly warm, staff is friendly, and food is good! I went to the Azur restaurant everyday for lunch and Mauricio was the best server I’ve ever had. Absolutely incredible. Hope to be back.

Beautiful resort. Everyone was so generous and treated us like royalty. They remembered our names and paid attention to the small details, like what I like in my coffee. Marco was amazing with the smoothies. Armando in the breakfast buffet. Ceazer at the circle pool swim up bar. I appreciated everyone. We will definitely be back to this resort.

Very hospitable service. Abel welcomed us with fast service, cold towels and a massage, before we made it to our room. We loved the food at every restaurant and each had a unique experience. Caesar and Ernesto with their team of chefs asked for feedback on the quality of the food and service. This was awesome because they went to visit at each cabana to get your opinion and take pictures. I do wish the pools would stay open longer I think six is a little early and if you want to get some pool time without the sun beating on you it would be nice for them to be open later, even if it’s only one of the pools.

Our third stay at Live Aqua somehow managed to be even better than the first two. At this point, it truly feels like our home away from home, and each visit gives us another reason to return. I think part of what makes each stay better is simply becoming more familiar with everything Live Aqua has to offer. The first time, you’re discovering the resort. With each return, you know your favorite places and familiar faces, but you also become more comfortable asking questions, trying something new, and allowing the staff to make your experience special. And that is really where Live Aqua shines. The resort itself is beautiful, but the people are what keep bringing us back. The warmth and hospitality we’ve experienced have been remarkably consistent from our very first visit. Returning now means being greeted by familiar faces while continuing to meet wonderful new people who somehow become part of the experience just as quickly. The service is attentive without feeling forced or scripted, and so many of the thoughtful things the staff members do feel genuinely personal. We specifically requested Romero as one of our butlers again because of the wonderful experiences we’ve had with him on previous visits. During our October stay, his kindness and thoughtfulness surrounding Día de los Muertos—something that held very personal meaning for both of us for different reasons—left a lasting impression. His care felt genuine and heartfelt, and it was one of those experiences that went far beyond simply providing excellent service. We were very happy to have him taking care of us again in the evenings on this trip. This visit also introduced us to Eladio, our daytime butler, and what a wonderful addition he was to our experience. Since so much of what we needed happened during the day, Eladio handled many of the details throughout our stay and was incredibly attentive, personable, and helpful. Between Eladio during the day and Romero in the evenings, we felt exceptionally well cared for from beginning to end. Their attention to detail is exactly the kind of service that makes Aqua Club so worthwhile for us. We really enjoy the Aqua Club experience overall. Having a comfortable place to stop in for a cocktail or snack is a nice perk, and being able to check in and out there makes both processes easy and relaxed. We were also greeted by champagne and sweet treats waiting in our room when we arrived—a lovely way to start the trip. Our room was extremely comfortable and, as we’ve come to expect at Live Aqua, unbelievably clean and beautifully maintained. And then there’s the pool—where we spend a LOT of our vacation! 😂 The service there is consistently wonderful. Marisol took such great care of us and was always friendly, attentive, and somehow seemed to know when we needed something. At the party pool, Crescensio and Freddy were equally wonderful behind the bar—personable, fun, and always happy to oblige. The entire pool team manages to be attentive without hovering, which makes it very easy to settle in and do absolutely nothing for hours—which is exactly what we came to do! Rodrigo has also become one of those familiar faces we genuinely look forward to seeing when we return. He takes wonderful care of us, but what stands out even more is how personable and genuinely helpful he is. When we ran into an unexpected issue with our airport transportation, Rodrigo helped us get things sorted out. It had nothing to do with pool service, but he saw that we needed help and stepped in. Those are the moments you remember. Rodrigo was also responsible for one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip when he introduced us to his good friend, Chef Wilian at MB. Chef Wilian surprised us one evening with a special off-menu selection, and everything about it—from the presentation to the creativity and quality of the food—was amazing. It was such an unexpected treat and another example of how the personal connections at Live Aqua can turn an already wonderful vacation into something memorable. MB continues to be one of our favorite dinner experiences. The atmosphere, food, and service are consistently wonderful. Honestly, you are definitely not going to starve at Live Aqua! There are enough choices that even picky eaters should be able to find something they enjoy, and we continue to be impressed by the quality throughout the resort. Even our late-night room service arrived piping hot and was surprisingly good. Breakfast at Siete is another favorite daily ritual. On this visit, we finally made a point of stopping to see Marco at the smoothie bar after reading so many wonderful comments about him. Neither of us is even a big smoothie drinker, but now we understand! 😂 Marco has an infectious smile and personality, and his enthusiasm for what he does is impossible not to appreciate. He’s simply one of those people who makes you happy when you see him in the morning. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and the sushi station later in the day was another favorite—fresh and delicious. After three visits, we’ve realized that what makes Live Aqua special isn’t any one thing. Yes, the resort is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate. The food is excellent. The beach and pools are gorgeous, and Aqua Club adds another level of comfort and service. But it’s the people. Every visit has given us another example of genuine hospitality, whether it’s reconnecting with someone like Romero or Rodrigo, meeting someone new like Eladio, discovering Marco at the smoothie bar, or having Chef Wilian create something special for us at MB. Those experiences are what turn a beautiful luxury resort into somewhere that truly feels like coming home. We officially Aqua Lovers for Life! And yes—we’re already planning our return.🌴🌊🩵
