Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

Because of all of the reviews and ravings I wanted to love it but it was just okay. It feels like those that are obsessed with it utilize the butlers, and we just weren't interested in that type of experience. The location is excellent, the beach is gorgeous, and the pools were nice. It was difficult to find a spot by the pool as the seating is limited and people reserve chairs early in the morning. It's obvious they want you to rent a cabana, which we were also not interested in. The room was nice with a very comfy bed. Food was okay but cannot make reservations without a butler and had to wait an hour and half for MB, which was good but not worth the hype. My husband became ill with the traveler's stomach bug a few days in and ended up spending lots of time in the room, and I found that I had excellent service when he was with me but was virtually ignored when he was not. The smoothie is just a smoothie and the guy making it, who everyone says is so amazing, was pretty rude to me. The tequila tasting was great and the Christmas parade was lots of fun. I've seen people complain about it being too dull but I thought it was nice and relaxing. All in all it was enjoyable but will probably stay elsewhere next time.

This was our fifth trip to LA, and we had an awesome Christmas there! Everything — the food, hotel, staff — was amazing, just like always. Huge shoutout to the awesome staff who made our stay extra special: Jhonathan and Miguel by the pool, Monica at the beach, Marcos at Siete, and the entertainment crew Ricky Ricardo, Pablo, and Lulu. There’s one more I can't remember his name — he works at the Aqua Club lounge, short bald guy. Sorry I don’t remember his name, but he was a real gentleman. Their top-notch service definitely made our trip unforgettable!

It was an extremely pleasant 2 days stay with Live Aqua. I would really recommend anyone who is looking for an all inclusive vacation with the best value that you could get at Cancun hotel zone. Especially thanks to Carols and Maggie for the club level care. Their personal touch make this trip even more pleasant and memorable with all the bookings, dinner reservations, even helped us to find the long pants for the formal dinner room. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for the next level trip!

Live Aqua is good, but not great, and that was disappointing. Among the strengths are a gorgeous facility, great beach location, nice pools and friendly and attentive staff. What we loved less was the merry go around to be able to secure a dinner spot, given only "club" members can make a reservation and the restaurants are generally small. We spoke to other guests who found this as annoying as we did. I also found the room AC to be extremely loud. Finally, when we arrived we were we were immediately being sold (under the guise of resort information) on their club, timeshare style (2 feee massages and 2 free cabana days) which we found extremely distasteful.

We had an excellent stay! The property is beautiful and the beach is truly stunning. The food at MB was incredible. You have to try the habanero soup and filet. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Abel welcomed us and informative. Ariel at lunch provided excellent service. We will definitely return.
