Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

Our arrival experience felt very transactional. The check-in process was brief, and we were not provided with a map, an overview of the restaurants, or any explanation of resort policies (such as guest rules or not being allowed to have food on the beach). If we hadn’t been approached by a staff member promoting a timeshare, we likely would not have received any of that helpful information at all. One of our biggest disappointments was the food. Based on prior reviews, we expected a wide range of vegetarian options, but choices were extremely limited. I traveled with two vegetarians and one omnivore, and even the omnivore found the food underwhelming. The issue wasn’t just the lack of vegetarian variety—overall, the food lacked flavor across the board. The drinks were also of noticeably poor quality. We did enjoy the beach cabanas, which were a highlight of the trip. They are well-maintained and comfortable, and the rental includes a 20-minute foot massage that can be shared or used by one person. However, there is a strictly enforced no-food policy on the beach, which felt limiting. Additionally, if you choose not to rent a cabana (approximately $100 per day), it can be very difficult to find lounge chairs together, so this is something to consider if you’re traveling as a group and don’t want to incur extra costs. Another issue we encountered was with pool towels. Availability was inconsistent, especially later in the day. On our first day, we were told to wait 20 minutes for clean towels, then another 15 minutes, and still none were available. We never got towels. It seemed like towel inventory was not well managed. Communication with the concierge was also lacking. Prior to arrival, I reached out with a simple question about purchasing sunscreen at the gift shop and never received a response. During our stay, follow-up emails were also met with little to no reply, which was frustrating. On a more positive note, breakfast was the best meal of the day. The coconut oatmeal was excellent, and Marco at the smoothie bar stood out for his friendliness and service. We also appreciated having a Starbucks on-site, where we could find decent vegetarian options like veggie and Caprese sandwiches. The sushi was acceptable, and room service accommodated us with simple items like veggie and cheese quesadillas and margarita pizza. Azur was okay (we had the veggie fajitas), but we would recommend skipping the seaside restaurant altogether. The rooms themselves were very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, which is worth noting for anyone concerned about security. Overall, if your priority for an all-inclusive vacation is high-quality food and drinks, this resort will likely fall short. However, if food is not a major focus and you’re simply looking for a clean, safe place to relax, it may still be a suitable option.

My wife and I just returned from an amazing vacation at Live Aqua Cancun. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation with beautiful Caribbean views, outstanding food, and first class customer service…don’t hesitate to book your getaway here ! Here’s a few comments from our personal experience. Aqua Club My opinion is that the extra cost of this perk is well worth it. The rooms have some of the best ocean views at the resort. Check in and check out is expedited. Also the fifth floor lounge offers morning coffee, evening cocktails, as well as food, all with beautiful views, and the staff at the aqua club is outstanding. I personally like to spend some time in the afternoon reading here. During one of our evenings, there was live music. This also comes with two personal butlers who job is to make your vacation as good as possible. One of my favorite services is getting restaurant reservations set up for you. Dining All of the restaurants here offer first class food, and service. Our personal favorites are MB, Siete, Hidden Garden, and Azur. MB is an evening restaurant and serves a 4 course meal with many delicious choices. Siete is our go-to breakfast choice because they have a large buffet with great options. The outdoor grill near the pools which is not listed as an official restaurant, in my opinion offers some of the best food at the resort. Jose prepares grilled chicken, ribs, sausage, and pork chops at about noon each day with a nice salad bar and several other side dishes. I definitely look forward to lunch here every day ! Pools There are six pools as well as a hot tub, the pools vary in temperature to meet everyone’s needs. The warmest one has a swim up bar. There are numerous lounge chairs as well as cabanas that can be rented by the day. We spent a lot of time sitting by the pool and the servers are extremely friendly and prompt. They will bring you any drink that you would like and there’s also a food menu. Beach The beach is very clean. The seaweed is picked up every morning. There are cabanas here as well along with a beach bar with swings. Bars Egos bar & AKA bar both have friendly bartenders and offer a place to relax or meet other guests. The AKA bar has a sushi station nearby. In the evening there is typically live music or a DJ. Activities The resort offers many activities if you’re interested such as: yoga, dance fit, water aerobics, a salsa class, archery, beach volleyball and others. If you like having things to do in addition to sitting by the pool, you won’t be disappointed. Staff This is an absolutely beautiful resort with amazing restaurants, but in my opinion the staff are what truly make this an extraordinary experience. Multiple times I had a bartender or restaurant worker recognize me and say welcome back or good morning. Also, every staff person I encountered smiled at me. On numerous occasions when guests were checking out , I saw them hugging staff members and saying “goodbye” or “until I see you next time”. When you see this, it’s obvious that this resort is doing an outstanding job. It’s fun to be at a place where all the staff truly seem to be happy and dedicated to giving you a great experience. If you go, look these people up, they are the ones that truly made a difference for us. Maggie & Eladio - Our personal butler’s on this trip. Both of them were extremely helpful and attentive and seemed excited to help make our vacation special ! Guillermo & Daniel - Hosts at the Aqua Club lounge. For morning coffee, a bite to eat, or evening cocktails these two work extra hard to ensure that you’re having a great time. Chef Mario- The chef at hidden Garden. He came to our table and personally spoke to us and helped create the meal that we enjoyed. Jose - he runs the outdoor grill. Make it a point to stop by this place at least once. He cooks some very delicious food. Cesar - he was the host at Azur restaurant. Every time I saw him, even if he was just walking along by himself, he had a smile on his face. We just returned from our fifth stay at Live Aqua Cancun—and this time it was even more special because we got married there! Everything was absolutely perfect. Our wedding coordinator, Christie, was incredibly hands-on and made sure every detail ran smoothly from start to finish. If you’re considering a destination wedding, I highly recommend Live Aqua. The entire staff goes above and beyond—they are all so kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything you need. Also the rooms and hotel is always so clean! Truly an unforgettable experience! ✨

Trip number 14. What a fabulous week stay. We stayed on the 9th floor which has the most beautiful view. We arrived early morning and was taken to the 5th floor where we checked in. It was an easy process. Since we have already been there numerous times the process was easy. We were greeted by Montserrat our Butler Romero, and the infamous Daniel. It always feels so welcoming to see their beautiful smiles. After check in we went to our room and was stunned by the birthday decorations. We quickly got into our bathing suits and off to the pool we went. We had dinner at MB 3 out of our 7 night stays. This is our favorite restaurant. We had breakfast at Siette & Azur. My husband loves the French toast and the pastries. Lunch we had Jose's famous chicken ribs and pork chops. Porfis hamburgers and hot dogs. Some late nights we would get cookies from Starbucks. Side note the ice cream is sooooooo good! We would like to give Thanks to: Daniel & Guillermo (Aqua Club) Manuel, Crisensio, Romero, Heiner, Tino, Erika, Hector, Omar, Rodrigo, Rodolfo, Eli, Tony, Damien (Bartenders) Monica, Ale, Marisol, John, Andres, Ami, Usiel, Miguel, David, Frank, Marco, Ceasar (Pool Servers) Graciel, Aldo, Moreilia. (Aqua Lovers staff) Ruddy & Romero (Our Butlers) Even though we did not have Maggie, Carlos, Eladio, Sakny, Alan they still managed to give us hugs and let us know that if there was anything we needed they would help. Adriana! She is always smiling and very sweet!  (AKA Bar & Starbucks) All the Pool hut Staff were helpful and made sure we had our favorite bed everyday during our stay! Flavio, Eduardo, Damien, Maria & Fransico  The most wonderful Chef "Willan" MB Manager Rudolpho, Hosts Frida! Jose, & Porfi! (Outside grills)David (Verenna server) The entertainment team. Ricky Ricardo! One special person who we adore is Montserrat (Management). She always greets us and welcomes us with a big hug and smile. She is a very special lady. The main reason we keep coming back is to see all these special people who not only treat us well but we call them our family now. Each staff member at Live Aqua works very hard. Live Aqua exceeded all of my expectations! We booked an Aqua Club oceanfront room and we were thankful we did so. Not only did we have an amazing view but we had the best butlers. Both Eladio and Maggie took care of us and the rest of our group. They booked our reservations for dinner every night and then greeted us each night at the restaurant. They would reach out each morning via text and then would track us down during the day to check in and make sure we had everything we needed for the day. Finally, they would text before they left for the night just to make sure we didn’t need something. When I return to LA, I will definitely request to have Eladio and Maggie as my butlers. The food was delicious! I don’t think we had a bad meal the entire stay and we tried it all. The wait staff at the restaurants and by the pool were very attentive and made us feel welcome. Our accommodations were perfect. The housekeeping staff went above and beyond keeping our room clean and comfortable. Kudos to the staff cleaning the pool bathrooms by Azur. They were very clean and well maintained throughout the day. The towel guys were super friendly and helpful when securing our spot for the day. Thanks to Francisco for always taking care of us. I watched the whole pool staff throughout the day making sure everyone had a place to sit. The Live Aqua club bartenders were so accommodating and made the best pre-dinner drinks! Overall this has been one of my favorite all inclusives in Mexico and the first one I would actually make a repeat visit to.
