Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

We have just returned from our 22nd stay at Live Aqua. This place clearly is very special to us, and there are many reasons we return again and again. The first and primary reason is the staff. We are always made to feel very welcome. Everyone works hard to ensure a pleasant experience for all, whether you are a first-time visitor or a returning friend. Once again, we upgraded to the Aqua Club level. The view from the lounge is one of the best in Cancun. The overall vibe of the resort varies depending on time of day and whether or not the resort is hosting big groups or conventions. I generally find it to be relaxing and on the quiet side. We prefer zen over party. I love the aromatherapy throughout. There are several nice pools. We are beach people, however, and spend as much time as possible next to the ocean. The view never, ever gets old. The weather on this trip was particularly very hot, but warm temperatures and high humidity are expected at this time of year. The restaurant and food options are fantastic. The restaurant staff – from the front of the house to the back – are attentive and accommodating. Those with butler service will receive assistance with dining reservations. That being said, reservations are not required, and wait times are generally never too long. But who’s in a hurry? It’s vacation! 😊 We were disappointed that Azur was closed for breakfast. We hope that is not a permanent thing. At the top, I mentioned the number of times we have been to Live Aqua. This resort has a surprising number of folks who return again and again. This fact in and of itself says a lot about the experience you will find here. There are many nice resort options in Cancun. For us, Live Aqua has everything we want for rest and renewal. We know what to expect, we get what we expect (and sometimes more), and we have never been disappointed. I say again that it is the staff at Live Aqua who make this place unique. We appreciate each and every person and are grateful for how they always make us feel welcome and special. I would like to give extra shoutouts to Isaias and Alex, Daniel in the Club, Chef Ernesto, Chef Raul, Luis, Mauricio at Azur, Chef Wilian, Rohibi, Frida, Chef Mario, Eduardo, Belen, Angelica, Edouard for the cabana setup, Morelia and Jonathan for always going the extra mile. The entire staff is amazing! Our butlers Isias and Alex were always there to answer any questions we had. They were able to make reservations at the restaurants for us as well. Guirellmo at the Aqua Club is friendly and always filled my empty shot glass. Miguel at the bar pay the pool was also amazing. Ariel at the restaurant next to the pool was also attentive and friendly.

Live Aqua continues to redefine luxury, first class service and world class cuisine. My wife and I brought our friends for their first ever visit to Live Aqua Cancun and they both said it has ruined adults only resorts for them! (Meaning now they can't go anywhere else as nothing will ever compare to Live Aqua Cancun) Your experience begins when you arrive and see your perfectly designed suite, as every room is Ocean view or Ocean Front. After that its all about the atmosphere, food and service! Here's a list of some of the beautiful individuals who made our experience one of a kind! Marco - Smoothie Bar Maestro (Inside the breakfast buffett restaurant) Marco is one of the most genuinely amazing human beings you'll ever meet. He takes the time to not only ask you what you want in your drink, he spends time with each and every single person to ask them about themselves and truly get to know them so he can suggest something for hydration, bloating, digestive issues, energy, or if you simply just want a healthy smoothie. Please ensure you visit Marco and meet him for yourself. Jose & Porfi - Poolside BBQ Masters Once you're at the pool and it's lunch time, you don't have to leave, all you need to do is choose do I want gourmet asado grilled meats and veggies or a smash burger with all the toppings imaginable! Jose & Porfi are so hard working and all they care about is making sure each and every guest gets a gourmet plate of food made just the way you like it and it's perfect. Flavio and his Team at the Pool Side Cabana Station - Flavio and his team continue this theme of world class service. Every attenion to detail is there ultimate priority. We had a special request to surprise our friends with a birthday wish and Flavio and his team did not disappoint! We always appreciate their professionalism and positive personalities. Arabi - Concierge Arabi went above and beyond to meet our every request from rooms near each other to making sure our guests were treated like family every on their very first visit to Live Aqua. Special Shouts Out to Sakny our butler who made sure all our requests were met and even added additional touches she thought would enhance our stay and make it even more memorable and she did. Andres, our poolside server, came in to work everyday with an warm smile and a positive attitude and looked after us like we were at his own home. I hope you give Live Aqua and try as I'm sure you and your family and friends will have only positive things to say and come back year after year like my wife and I do.

We just returned home from another fabulous stay at Live Aqua. We don’t ever want to stay anywhere else because of the staff! We get a room type that includes a cabana but you can also rent them by the day. Flavio at the towel hut is so kind and generous with all guests. He is quick with a smile and a laugh. He leads his team well and they make sure each day is spent with guests feeling relaxed and pampered. Our pool server, Andres has recently returned to Live Aqua & was a welcome sight and he took care of us with such good care! The drinks were always good and we never went without! From our delicious morning coffee with Daniel, who also dances at Mexican night -don’t miss it- to our evening aqua club cocktails and sunsets with Guirellmo we are treated with such care and respect. We enjoy the aqua club perks which are so much more than private check in and out. Our butler team was wonderful with Stephany and Viri. Stephany is someone we always request to have as a butler for us. Sheis quick to make sure we have all our wants & needs taken care of. The level of pampering is great after a day of being spoiled at the pool! The sargassum wasn’t bad this time though we expected it to be. The resort does a great job of keeping it raked up. We appreciate that the hotel is conscious of the environment and has added water machines in the rooms to cut down on plastic bottle use. Great addition! Another great addition is the cabana on the Aqua suite terrace! We loved it! It was such a great relaxing place to hang out before dinner or in the morning. Food was delicious and our dinners at mb had great service and the menu prepared by a great staff is led by Chef Wilian Canul. We have eaten our way through the entire menu without any misses. Do not miss this restaurant! Hidden Garden is another fav and the Thao, Mango fish, Matcha cake, and Lychee martinis are the star dishes. We enjoyed the sea bass at Siente in the evening too! There is just so much delicious food! We can’t wait to return and will be counting the days. We have no complaints and always know each vacation will be better than the last!

EVERYONE Do NOT Sign up for their so-called: "presentation" during your stay. They have a scam going around under the name [Group Posadas] - Quick Search upon this name or "Fiesta Americana Vacation Club] will pull up multiple negative reviews of their scamming tactics. More details below.) Our stay at Live Aqua was overshadowed by what was supposed to be a "90-minute vacation club presentation" for FAVC (Fiesta Americana Vacation Club). It turned into a high-pressure sales experience that lasted several hours. We were promised gifts and discounts for attending, but once we arrived, the atmosphere completely changed. The sales representatives repeatedly pressured us to make a decision on the spot, discouraged us from taking time to think about it, and kept bringing in additional managers after we declined. Every time we said "no," another person came over with a new offer or lower price. Many of the claims about savings, availability, and investment value sounded very appealing during the presentation, but after doing independent research afterward, we found numerous reviews from other travelers describing experiences that were very similar to ours. We were glad we took the time to verify the information before making a long-term financial commitment. If you're invited to an FAVC presentation in exchange for resort credits, excursions, or other perks, be prepared for a much longer and more aggressive sales pitch than advertised. Read the contract carefully, research the program independently, and never feel pressured to sign anything the same day. The resort itself is beautiful, and the staff outside of the vacation club were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the FAVC presentation left us with a very negative impression and significantly impacted what otherwise could have been a relaxing vacation.
