My wife and I just returned from a week at Live Aqua, and all I can say is… wow! We arrived with high expectations based on the glowing reviews, but the reality managed to blow us away. There is so much to unpack about this resort, but it truly is a 5-star experience from start to finish. The Aqua Club Difference The check-in process was incredibly smooth. We upgraded to the Aqua Club, which I cannot recommend highly enough. It allowed us to bypass the main lobby and head straight to the 5th-floor Aqua Lounge to enjoy food and drinks while our paperwork was handled. Additionally, while official check-in is 3:00 PM, the staff worked hard to get us into our room early—a refreshing change from other resorts that make you wait in the lobby for hours. World-Class Service: Arturo & Viri Many reviews say the staff makes the experience, and that was certainly true for us. Our two butlers, Arturo and Viri, were two of the most helpful people we’ve ever encountered. At many resorts, butlers disappear after day one, but Arturo and Viri were present every single day. They handled our dinner and cabana reservations, offered excursion tips, and were incredibly supportive when I unfortunately came down with a cold. They didn’t just use WhatsApp; they frequently checked on us at our cabana and even met us at our dinner reservations to ensure everything was perfect. They truly made our stay memorable. Genuine Care The hospitality extended to every corner of the resort. From the Aqua Lounge team to the servers at the pool and beach, everyone was intent on making us happy. A special shout-out to our beach cabana server: when I was feeling my worst, he brought me hot tea and honey. The next day, he went above and beyond by personally purchasing throat lozenges for me. That level of care is rare. The Grounds & Accommodations The resort is exquisitely maintained. Despite having a relatively compact footprint, it never felt crowded. We never struggled to find a chair at the pool or a spot on the beach. Our room was fantastic, featuring a unique two-way mirror in the shower that allows you to enjoy ocean views while you wash up. Five-Star Dining (Without the Bloat) The food is the "crown jewel" of Live Aqua. With five restaurants and several outdoor stands, the variety is unmatched for a resort of this size. Most meals felt like 5-star quality. Unlike many all-inclusives that rely on heavy, carb-laden "comfort food," the options here were fresh and high-quality. I never felt bloated; in fact, I actually lost 4 pounds while spending most of my time relaxing! Must-try spots: MB, Varenna, and Hidden Garden. A Note on Drinks If there was one minor "mixed bag," it was the drinks. I appreciated that they weren’t loaded with sugar (a common all-inclusive pitfall), but outside of the Aqua Lounge, the cocktails felt a bit light on the alcohol. Even when asking for an extra shot, it was hard to tell the difference. Final Verdict From the smooth check-in to the stellar service and incredible food, Live Aqua absolutely lives up to the hype. It is a true 5-star experience that we would repeat in a heartbeat.

Live Aqua is a beautiful resort. We had a large group (5 rooms)- a family gathering for my mother's 80th birthday. The best part of our stay - was having the concierge service with our room. We stayed at other resorts in Cancun and had other Butler's- but Maggie & Carlos as our Butler's - honestly made our trip. They were absolutely amazing, the best we've ever had . Communicating to them through the WhatsApp made it super easy. If we weren't paying attention to the app, they would come find us usually around the pool. They helped us get or find anything we needed...they helped ALL our family members. They would helped us organize dinner reservations, get in contact with the best people for excursions, and find needed ADA supplies for my parents room. EXCELLENT SERVICE by Maggie and Carlos! Overall the food was good. MB's had the best food. The morning personized smoothies - by the smoothie guy was the best part of breakfast and tasted absolutely AMAZING!! The Smoothie guy was/is one of our favorite people (super friendly & kind) along side Maggie and Carlos. The fire-grilled chicken & ribs out by the the pool were absolutely delicious. The guy cooking the chicken was awesome too. They do have dinner & shows out at the pool every Saturday night- that was fun for the group. I also want give a shout-out to the cleaning staff. My husband accidentally left our safe unlocked and there was $200 cash in there. When we returned to our room and realized our mistake - we checked, and not a dollar was taken. Thank you to the cleaning staff - thank you! Overall, everything was really nice. Except, one really bad experience with a restaurant and staff/mgr. When we first arrived at the resort (Dec 23rd- and had not even gone up to our rooms yet nor met maggie/carlos yet), we asked the front desk where we should go for dinner w/ our large group (we knew nothing about the hotel yet). She sent us to their "Mexican" restaurant LA TAQUERIA. Keep in mind we all came from different states and hadn't seen each other for over a year. We had planned on meeting at the Mexican restaurant before even going to our rooms because we were all starving. As soon as we got to this restaurant I told the lady at the hostess stand (who told me later that she was the manager) that we had 11 of us. She told us only 4 to a table. She told us we could not sit together, she wouldn't even allow us to pull up extra chair so we could all sit together. She wanted to put us at 3 different tables. She was beyond rude and extremely unfriendly. I asked to speak to a manager, and that is when she told me she was the manager. I asked if there was another restaurant we could go to in the resort where we all could sit together, she said "NO." We felt like we had no choice. I think it took us 15 maybe 20 minutes to even get drinks, our service was absolutely horrible. The food was also horrible at this restaurant. This experience was a terrible way to begin our vacation - at that moment I was worried if we had made the biggest mistake going to this Resort. I did report this to the front concierge desk - again before we even met Maggie or Carlos. We did not go back to eat at this restaurant for the rest of our stay. Thank goodness Maggie and Carlos and the the rest of the hotel staff made up for our first night and restaurant experience. The rest of our trip & stay was amazing. Overall, I would recommend staying at Live Aqua for your next vacation, even with our one bad experience!

We get the suite so that includes private transportation to and from airport, a private cabana every day with a 20 minute daily foot massage and butler service to reserve all your dinners. The resort is just the right size. Big enough for lots to do and dining options but small enough that the staff know you and treat you like family!! We especially loved our servers and pool staff: Alejandro, Monica, Fidel, Jonathan, Andres, Miguel!! We can’t wait to return next year!

This is our 10th time at Live Aqua Cancun! There are no words to express the epic time we are experiencing everytime we stayed at the Resort. All away up from Mr. Alfredo Santamarina and his staff, Mrs. Morelia Vazquez, always giving us the best service as #AquaLovers, Daniel and Guillermo at the Aqua Club, always giving us the best service, the Food stations and all the Restaurants staff, the Butlers Maggie and Carlos were far beyond expected, excellent job! , the housekeeping staff, and of course the waiters at the pool Alejandra, Daniel and in the beach Roosevelt, great job as always and not to mention Cristobal, he is the best of the best! Excellent job! always taking care of our needs. Great service from Cristobal! No complaints at all. Thank you Live Aqua Cancun! See you soon again!

John at the pool is absolutely amazing. He always makes sure our stay is top notch. A huge thanks to Damien, Edouard, Miguel, Maria, Francisco who also made our stay incredible. Chef Wili also made our stay once again unforgettable. Emiliano has always been present for us as well and also Jose at the breakfast buffet. We hope to return soon.
