Reviews for Live Aqua Cancun All Inclusive Adults Only
Had an incredible time here, place is so nice, the staff is amazing as well. Montse is an employee there and she's great, gave a warm friendly welcome and was extremely helpful. I recommend this place to any and every one!
This place is absolutely beautiful! The staff is beyond amazing... from Ashley, Jonathan, Marianna, Paola, Jorge and so many more that work here; they're all great people and make it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this resort if you're looking for an adult only place to stay.
Best things I liked about this resort is their staff and restaurants! Great for a family vacation. Hote room was great and room service was on point. Also loved music lessons and other activities that were offered. Would go there again!
This adult only all inclusive promotes itself as a relaxing setting (it truly is) enhanced with aromatherapy throughout the hotel and each guest room. You can select the scent(s) that appeal to you if you don’t like the daily offering. Incense and meditation chime is set up in the evenings with the turn down service. There are several restaurants and bars on the property with buffet, fusion, Thai, Italian, Latin, sushi, etc. if you want something not on the menu, they do their best to accommodate. No reservations needed except for the one upcharge restaurant serving steak and lobster. Cabana rental was part of a package for each room suites (we had two suites). The rooms are stocked with bottled water, soda, beer & snacks. Toiletries were assorted Molton Brown. There is a weight scale in the bathroom if you really want to check your progress/regress, I could do without it though! The place is beautiful with marble floors and mid century modern furnishings. But, I believe this resort is a bit run down: once you look around you begin to notice small areas that need repair; the shoddy paint work (photo) the missing grout in the pools and restrooms; some heavily used public areas did not have sufficient lighting (elevator waiting area on spa level) and then the round replacement lights put in square openings and left with raw openings (see photo of my bathroom light). The other inconsistency was food and beverages: One example: I ordered fish tacos three days in row and they presented differently each day: first day rolled tight like cigars and no side sauce, second day only two tacos cut in half (?!) with expected sauce, the third day there were three tacos but they were cut into pie shape wedges (wtf?!) and needed to use fork as no way to fold and hold..... We noticed the same inconsistency with mixed drinks and wondered if alcohol was even in them as we could drink all day in the sun and not feel any buzz, but if we had beer or wine we felt it as expected. Overall this was a pleasant experience with friendly staff - everyone would greet us, we enjoyed the setting, the service, food variety and we will likely return. Live music was fantastic- I especially liked the 90s cover band (I believe they called themselves Supremes) and the cover band that played a range from 80s-90s rock, pop, and punk. My review is not intended to dissuade anyone, only inform my experience.
First of all we have stayed in Cancun 12 times, all in different locations. The top five expense wise would be Moon Palace, Sun Palace, the Royal Playa Del Carmen, Secrets Capri and Excellence Riviera MAya, we received excellent service at all Including the less expensive places, Live Aqua has too many surcharges to be “all inclusive”. $150:00 a couple for an exclusive restaurant, $50.00 PP upcharge on MB menu to get a decent cut of meat or lobster. $35.00 surcharge for Super Bowl party. We were At Excellence last year, fantastic super bowl party, no extra charge, all inclusive !! Live Aqua has only one kind of wine, one red and one white, not drinkable. All other all inclusive have at least three whites and three reds. Your big fans are mostly BEER drinkers, so they don’t care. Breakfast and lunch awesome!! Dinners at Azur and Hidden Garden awesome. Other restaurants suck, including MB except for habanero soup. They do play the towel game. The chair guy will boot them if you ask him to. All bars seat less rhan 25 and are crowded and noisy.. If you really need a soaking tub that shows on line with ocean front make Sure they really exist!! My favorite place I would go back for a second time would be Hyatt Ziva, it certainly would not be Live Aqua!!!
