We stayed 7 days and loved it. We traveled with our 5 yr old son and 18 month old daughter. Customer service was exceptional and the food & drinks were delicious. Our favorite restaurant was the blue agave. They served street tacos. The location was great just a few minutes from the airport. There was a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel so it was very convenient. We rode it to shops, supermarket and downtown for a few bucks. The beach was a little rough, but people were swimming in it. We did get in a couple of days. Our son loved the kids club and kept asking to go. They also have a baby club, but our daughter did not want to stay. The pools are deep 5.9 ft but they did have a kid's pool. There was plenty of seating on the beach and at the pools. They did approach us to do a timeshare presentation which we did not want to waste time with, but by the end of stay they just gave us the info in 20 minutes versus the 90 minute one. We did not purchase it. The rooms were nice. We stayed in pyramid 3 floor 6 and it was quite noisy. Everything is in the middle of pyramid 3. The music and people's conversations traveled up. Once the AC kicked on we could not hear it anymore. We also weren't able to hear neighbors. Next time we will ask for another area. We would definitely recommend it and are planning to go back next June.

There were lots of good things about Paradisus Cancun, but I found two things not so great. The grounds were lovely and well-kept. The pools were huge and well-kept. The service staff was excellent. The room was comfortable and quiet. So sleep was no problem. What I didn't like was the food. This is an all-inclusive with 9 restaurants, and they had real chefs who tried. But the food was just odd. I believe they have a lot of European and Asian clientele, and they seem to cater to those people. While the food was nicely prepared with attention to detail, it is for the adventuresome person. I thought I was adventuresome, but guess I'm not. What you see on the menu and what actually appears on your plate is about 180 degrees different. Example: my hubby ordered a Steak salad, and out came a bowl with black slimy stuff (I think it was seaweed), which my husband couldn't eat. They had two or three Asian-type restaurants, Mediterranean, but there was no restaurant that we ate at that had anything remotely American-like. There were two restaurants which required extra charges, so maybe they had America food, but I don't think so. Even the Mexican-style restaurants were not what we are used to in America, but they were at least more tasty. Their buffet restaurant came closer to serving some American-style food, but even it seem to cater more to other countries. I think a child would likely starve trying to find something he/she would like. I've never been so glad to get American food when we got home. Also, this trip cost a pretty penny, but they have set aside one gigantic pool and pool area for their "Royal Service" guests. I felt like a second class citizen with all the areas we couldn't go to. So you had way too many people trying to enjoy one pool and hardly anyone enjoying the other pool. And the only place you could get a sit-down breakfast was in this same area and off limits. I felt a little cheated with the way they remind you that you didn't pay top dollar. But all in all, the place is nice and has a beautiful atrium. I wouldn't go there again simply because of the food though. Also, regarding children, the kids pool was a very small section of the big pool. For the most part the big pool was nearly 6' deep and not suitable for children. The room had the most private balconies I've ever seen because of how they designed them.

We stayed here after the Mei wasn't complete. What a treat! The rooms and bathrooms were very nice in the royal service area. The staff was wonderful, very nice and accommodating. We typically stay at Sandals properties so I do have to say I prefer not having to tote around money for tips. That being said my recommendation to anyone staying at this property is to make sure you take plenty of small bills with you. It is very difficult to get change for tips. Overall the resort and beach were wonderful!! The street tacos at the Blue Agave for lunch are a MUST have so don't miss them! We will definitely come back here at some point.

Decided on a quick 3 night adults only get away with only a month and half to plan it. Started research and was worried we were going to have to switch to playa or not adults only...fortunately I ran across this place and they were having a sale. We did Royal service with a group of 8. If you read my reviews you will see most of our travels are in Jamaica so my only complaint is that Cancun water is just too rough to enjoy and relax in. But I knew that going in so can't really complain. The hotel was fantastic. Incredible service, food, drinks, butlers (Daniel was awesome), Bali bed service (Moses was great as were the others). Really can't think of anything to complain about. Even with a group of 8 we were able to get weekend reservations. First Thai/Asian place, then market grill, then tapas. Every place served us family style so we could all share and not choose one entree. Loved that!! I will say they definitely want you to drink tequila/shots lol. We walked by the entertainment one night and weren't impressed but the red lounge was jamming and we entertained ourselves. Our room faced the lagoon because ocean side was sold out. Still an excellent room. Our friends ocean front suite was incredible with 2 different verandahs and a sitting room and 2 bathrooms! No regrets about choosing this hotel at all. I never had a chance to ask about purchasing the oils they diffuse throughout the resort, but this place smells INCREDIBLE!
