ROOMS: Not good! We are RCI members and expected a nice room. We were told all the rooms are on the small size. We got a parking lot view in a very small room. It was kept clean except the floor.. they must mop with dirty water. CLUB MELIA: Terrible. Terrible check in and service. They do not care much. They do NOT return any calls either. Took us almost 2 hours to get checked in and to our room. would NOT go back. They offered no assistance in relocating us to a better room.. the actually don;' care at all. They push you to go to a presentation. FOOD. Tempo restaurant is GREAT!!!! The buffet restaurant is good BUT go to Blue Agave right across from it. Better omelets and not crowded. POOL AREA. Pool area is good. Good service etc. I wish people would keep their KIDS away from the Pool Bar! DUH. They sit their with their 3-6 kids circling them in the water and taking up a lot of space. NO TOWELS the first day by 4 p.m. and the men's room there was a disaster and they had to shut it down. The rest of the week seemed better. POOL: about 70% of the pool is deep. I am 5'8 and had to stand on my toes with the water at my chin. BEACH is clean and great. HOTEL: Very dark hallways. Very clean hotel . Friendly staff. RETURN? It is an okay resort but we wouldn't go back because the rooms are to small and the pool is too deep and the chairs etc around the pool are can get congested to walk through. TIP: BEACH CABANAS Don't waste money renting one! There are many and they never once had more than 2 used for 1/2 a day. By 10-11 a.m. you can just go use one.

This is the most amazing resort! Having been to several over the years this is the only one we have left saying we will be back! For starters the hospitality upon arrival was beyond any expectations. Check in was easy and the wrist bands are not the normal plastic but very unique as is the resort. Rooms very comfortable and ocean view was breathtaking. The food was by far the best food I have ever had at an all inclusive. Many options and all delicious. My family had a small obsession with the gelato place! The beach was beautiful even thought the waters were a little rough. The pool was where we spent most of our time as we had an 11 year old with us. One thing to note about the pool is it is deeper. (5 to 6 feet) They do have pool floats at the gift shop if you forget one and have someone to blow them up for you!! Also they will not let you reserve a chair at the pool for hours without showing up. Drinks and food at pool were great as were the staff working. There is a show at night but pretty quiet after that. If you are trying to decide on a resort and want a low key high quality resort this is your place!!

This has been one of my best vacations considering the service and hotel itself. The staff does everything possible to meet expectations; they do have insufficient umbrellas at the pool and beach, and having 2 young kids the staff got one for us, this is really caring for customers in order to make our stay enjoyable. Great food, great variety although you do have to make dinner reservations very early in the morning to dine the following day. Even thought they have 4 or 5 restaurants they get full pretty quick. We went to a couple without reservation and could not get a table even when they had lots empty, I did not understand the logic they follow, but there is always 2 great restaurants you don't need reservations. I definitely recommend this place regardless if traveling as a couple or with kids.

We visited Paradisus Cancun over the fourth of July weekend. When we arrived at the resort, we were welcomed by MR LAZARO, the Royal Service manager. He gave us an orientation of the resort, dining choices, and other amenities. He ensured we received the Paradisus Cancun Royal Service experience. He assigned two exceptional butlers to assist us. SERGIO assisted us during the day and EDUARDO at night. CARLOS coordinated the Bali beds for us. La Palapa was a great choice for lunch when we were on the beach or pool side. Our drinks were never dry thanks to MOISES. If you like Brazilian Steak houses, visiting the Market Place Grill is a must. Bana is also a great choice if you enjoy sushi. We got an added bonus watching the huge sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs on the beach at night.

We have vacationed at this same hotel for over a decade, and it never disappoints! Some staff members remember us from year to year, ask about our family and remember good times we have shared in the past. I look for particular people I really enjoy who have been so helpful to us on the beach--especially Laura, Asuncion, and Leticia!! Thank you, Carlos, for remembering us and our family over the years! Hope to see you again soon, Luis Enrique!!!
