I just got back from six days at Paradisus Cancun with my best friend and had the BEST time. We stayed in an ocean-view family concierge suite that included Royal Service. This resort is top-notch, the food was so gourmet and delicious and everywhere you went there was a full-service bar. Our favorite restaurant was Fuego and the Market Grill. The staff was so friendly and super accommodating, they also kept they resort clean at all times. Our favorite part was the adults-only pool at Royal Service and (of course) the private beach for Royal Service members. We also enjoyed the lux activities of sushi making and mixology. The hotel also has a pretty cool nightlife with the club in the red lounge and the avenue bar. I highly recommend staying here. Not only is there a lot to do, but the staff is friendly and the resort is top-notch.

This was my first family vacation with my husband, my 2 boys (4.5 and 1.5 yr old), my mom and my sister also came along. We booked 2 rooms and they were able to put us on the same floor very close to each other. I am writing a detailed review since it might be helpful for those considering this hotel for travel with small kids. There were so many positives about the hotel: 1) Family concierge - this was an extra charge, but so useful as we had someone help us make all the reservations for the restaurants, and to text if we needed anything. the fridge in the room was well stocked with snacks and drinks for the kids, the kids got bookbags with beach toys, robes, tshirts, and slippers, baby shampoo and soap, children toothbrush and toothpaste were all provided. The family concierge checkin area had a wonderful nespresso machine, and fully loaded goody bar with wonderful snacks for parents and kids. off to the side was a small playroom and another room with pool table. 2) Kidzone and babyzone - such a great space for the kids to run around and play. there were lists of activities for each day and both my boys just loved it. 3) Beach and Pool - the beach was absolutely beautiful and there were ample umbrellas and chairs for everyone without feeling crowded. Same with the Pool - where were 2 deeper pools that everyone can use, and 1 children pool. there is also another section for adults only. Service at the pool and beach were wonderful and all the staff there were so friendly, helpful and provided wonderful service. Music and entertainment during day were also great. 4) Hotel - big hotel with nice options for drinks and food. the buffet and taco restaurant were always good. Vento (tappas style restaruant) was our favorite reservation dinner. A nespresso bar and gelato and crepe station were really an extra treat. For night entertainment, there is always a fun show. Avenue bar and the red lounge for drinks and dancing (we had the best service from Francisco and Victor - literally they never let our glasses go empty and knew exactly what each of us drank for the night) So with all these great things, i would have given a 5 star if not for these negatives: 1) The smell in the room. we were in room 3201 and it was as bad as it sounds. We thought it was my sons soiled diaper on the first day, but the smell was dominate for the days we were there at specific times it was an unpleasant sewage smell. We had to call for them to come spray the bathroom multiple times and complained about the smell. i would have asked for another room had i not had 2 kids and already unpacked everything - i really did not want to waste a few hours to move and also my mom and sister were across the hall and i needed them close by because we need to use their bathtub... which leads me to second negative 2) with 2 young children and room that offered family concierge - it was really really inconvenient that we were given a room with no bathtub. any room that takes family concierge with young children, the hotel should take in mind that they will want a bathtub and also double beds since were were for some crazy reason also given one king bed . they did provide us with an smaller bed and a crib but the room was very cramped at that point. Overall i would have given this hotel 5 stars if it were not for the horrible smell in the room. I would definitely return to cancun with the children and exact words from my husband "I would go back to paradisus cancun if they can guarantee that our room would not smell like sewage" I have also recommended to all my friends with small children that if they go to Paradisus Cancun (i assume that the smell was just related to the room we stayed in)

Great location, about 20 minutes from the airport. The pool and beach are terrific. Staff were friendly and professional - Vasti Lopez with the entertainment crew and Flor serving cocktails around the pool were first rate. The a la carte restaurants (we tried 6) were terrific - great food, great service. We will be going back to this hotel.

We stayed 8 days in Royal Service, Jr Suite-Lagoon view and it was amazing! Our Butler, SAKNY took care of everything for us including dinner and Bali Bed reservations, and helped with our 2-day unexpected extended stay due to our flight being cancelled. SAKNY had special gifts sent to our room and checked with us every day to see if there was anything we needed. Thank you SAKNY for making our stay so enjoyable and so memorable. The Royal Service pool is heated, and the average depth is about 51/2 ft deep. CARLOS at pool side took care of our Bali Bed each day and made sure we had the same location if possible. He even made sure we had a Bali Bed on our 1st day there! Thank you CARLOS! RICARDO and EDDIE were our pool-side waiters and also took care of us when we visited La Palapa restaurant (Royal Service guests only). They made sure we were taken care of whether we were in the pool, in the Bali Bed, or eating lunch at La Palapa restaurant (amazing food). One of favorite dinner restaurants is Bana which is a contemporary Pan-Asian restaurant. The food and the service are both top notch. A big thank you to our waiter JOSE who took such good care of us. After eating here the 1st night we decided to go again during our stay and asked for JOSE as our waiter again. Although there weren't many gluten free options on the menu he took care of everything and had special dishes created for me and even made sure they were different each night. Thank you JOSE! This is our 4th visit to Paradisus Cancun and we're already planning our next trip!
