Sandos Cancun Luxury Resort

As soon as we got off the shuttle we were taken care of like family! Eduardo is one of a kind! He hooked us up with everything quickly and went above and beyond best experience I’ve had walking into a resort.

I would not say it is a 5 star. Though the staff make it a 5 star. The beach is soft and the water warm. This is the 5 star part. Rooms: #628 Love the room key on the wrist bands. Only one side table available that was on one side of the bed. We requested king bed and had a super king. Which is two queens pushed together haha. So watch for the crack in between the mattresses you’ll get stuck, I ended up pulling a chair over and and unplugging the lamp to put my phone on charge, have a spot for my water etc. AC unit IS LOUD. It sounds like it’s on its last legs. All sorts of random noises. We could’ve asked for repair. But not sure what could’ve been done besides replacing the entire unit. Rooms are out dated. No decor, not enough drawer space for two adults. Safe available. Wifi available. Beds mostly comfy unless you got stuck in the crack of the two mattresses pushed together. I did have an issue with room staff. They left my door open after filling refreshments. I was terrified as I walked up to my room, door left ajar, thinking someone may be in there. I went to desk to let them know to make sure the door is closed ! They said they’d make a report. Stood there staring at me not once did they ask if I was ok or for the room number. They have no idea how terrifying it is as a women, that is walking up to her room, with the door ajar after i left the refreshment employee filling the fridge at 230 and came back at 420 to grab my book. I finally said hey, do you want the room number so you can at least let the staff know to make sure the door closed or maybe go fix it ? Nothing was said or done about the door. Pool is dirty. I haven’t seen it being cleaned once, where other resorts I’ve witnessed poop chairs, walkways, pool deck being cleaned. I found cups and shoes, napkins and cigarettes butts the next day in the pool in the morning. Citrus pieces left in the shower where you wash your feet off after visiting the beach for four days. I’ve never seen pools so gross in my life. Yikes missing and all. Def need more chairs in the beach and pool decks. I understand this is off season and all. Perhaps not enough staff to maintain through off season. You gotta get up early and down by 7 am to get a spot at either the pool or the beach. Pool bar was great. Pool restaurant was good. Beautiful beach. Kind of clean but have found tampons and condoms, glasses and cups along side and along side the bottoms of the beach beds. Pretty gross. Not all of them have curtains across to adjust for sun exposure, almost all of them need maintenance. No umbrellas or Palapas. I just feel there should be more shade available. Good food. Buffet is kind of repetitive. But it was still good. Not as hot as you’d think though. No one got sick from food. So that’s a plus !! Freddie at the breakfast buffet Freddie at the Italian restaurant. Tony and Paedro at the Mexican themed buffet night. Service other wise from staff is good. Really friendly. The hotel itself is not very cool. Quite humid. Very inconsistent. Pavil the server with the teppanakki was wonderful. Fernando at breakfast buffet. Tony at the dinner buffet. German breakfast buffet. Luenaro waiter for the masquerade entertainment night was really nice. Attentive. The entertainment team and dj’s know how to keep patrons entertained and active. Bathroom was large enough for two adults. Though no fan for steam. Water is smelly like a slight sulphur smell which makes the entire room slightly stinky. Bathtub was pretty grubby looking. The entire bathroom could use a face lift for sure. The sealants around tile and tub are brown and yellowed. Two pairs of slippers available. Though if you have big feet they won’t fit you. Two robes available. Also on the smaller side. Fridge was always full. No hard liquor in the rooms. Just the basic beer, pop, juice and water. Lots of bedding. Make sure you shake your sheets out. Room service does not do. But they do remake the bed. We left cosmetics and fragrances and a couple bucks as a Thankyou. Which was taken every time. I’m assuming it was appreciated? Had a basic pedicure at the spa with Liliana application. The ladies were nice. Was expecting more foot work in regards to removing dead skin. They were lovely though. There was an engagement party going on below one evening. The next morning food and garbage and random stuff left out for two days. When we left it was still there on the third day. Disappointing. This will all blow over into the ocean and community. Sad. We had a window. Be careful as it has no screen and a very tiny slide lock. Too much pressure on the window I’m sure it would pop open. Probably will not stay here again. I would go to cancun again but not this hotel. Maybe on the on season it would be a different experience.

Amazing experience!!!!! The staff are amazing!!! Drinks and food are the best!!!! You will Not be disappointed! Very relaxing vacay! Juan’s energy is unlike my other!!!! Go see Daniel - he will take care of everything for you!

Here at Sandos Cancun. Having a wonderful time. The weather couldn't be better. Met others from Canada, and the staff are beyond friendly and helpful. Thanks Lorenzo for a lovely meal at the Seasons restaurant.

We had an incredible stay at Sandos. The service at the St. Trop Bar was outstanding, and Franklin made our experience even better. His positive attitude, attention to detail and delicious cocktails made every moment at the beach unforgettable. Thanks to him, we truly enjoyed our time here — Sandos exceeded our expectations!
