Sandos Cancun Luxury Resort

I am currently atbthe resort september of 2026. I will start off with the good just to be fair. Food is excellent. Service is what is expected at an all inclusive. Now the parts where I have problems. The rooms themselves are good but if you have to choose between the cheaper Laguna suite or the more expensive Sandos suite take the Laguna. The Sandos is not a panoramic view as described it is a side view of either a decrepit hotel or of the secrets next door. It says ocean and Laguna but all rooms that have a balcony have that here because you have to go out to the balcony and look left and right. The Sandos suite is on the 8th floor that is the big selling feature but our friends are on the 2nd floor Laguna suite and have a better view. Problem 2 they ran out of 2 or 3 different types of liquor while I am here. In my opinion absolutely unacceptable for an all inclusive 4 to 5 star in Mexico this is expected in Cuba but not Mexico. Getting a reservation for the teppanyaki restaurant is near impossible it is closed at least 2 days a week so book as soon as you get here if you are coming. When we checked in they had me and my wife in 2 double beds when we specifically stated 1 king. They did fix this but it was a day later. I will update this if or when they either fix things or other things go wrong which I was optimistic that nothing else could but now I am not so sure. *** Quick update 1. The situation with the alcohol was remedied after some time but honestly could have been quicker. ***Major Update now that I am at home. After finishing my trip it was way better then I thought it would end up being while we did have problems with check in that took some time to remedy they did get remedied, I would also like to say there were some specific staff members that made our days very enjoyable: Our pool wait staff "G" Guarneros was always quick with the drinks and just generally fun to have around and Fernando was also very quick with the drinks and made sure no one ever went "thirsty". Our wait staff inside was also very good. We had Alan in Fratinnis he did a coffee fire show next to the table. We had Lizbeth multiple times in multiple different restaurants. The entire crew in the breakfast buffet were great unfortunately there was so many of them I am unsure of their names. The entertainment staff never seemed to stop or even take much for breaks! Geremy and Karla always made sure you were smiling and if you weren't they made sure to come over. I want to be clear I was approached by Jissette and Gabrielle about my review they were very pleasant and not once did they ask me to change my review they simply asked 1 question how can we make your stay better!. This to me is customer service at its finest they genuinely wanted to make my stay better. My review changed for 2 reasons 1. what I witnessed it was not just myself they were impressing it was other people I saw from across the pool other people I chatted with about the staff so it was not because I left a poor review and got special treatment it was because they seemed to fix the things that needed fixing! and 2. They followed up while I was waiting for my transfer to the airport just to make sure we had a good time, All in all it was a fantastic vacation with a few rough patches but the good in the end out weighed the bad. In case anyone is wondering I would ultimately come again.

Fatima was great! She made me a bracelet for my granddaughter and we had a lot of fun playing bingo with her.

The entertainment staff was above par for this resort. Geremy ensured we were entertained, even the days that it rained. We were well accommodated and entertained throughout our stay.

First time at an adults only and it was very nice. They place excellent live entertainment by the pool every day. The food was good. The buffet is different than we've seen but there is always a good variety, you'll never go hungry. They are happy to help in whatever your needs are. We aren't high maintenance at all but it was a pleasant surprise to receive champagne and wine in our room for our anniversary and birthday. We had a pleasant time
