This resort was clean and lovely. The location is perfect and has a terrific beach area and two outdoor showers to wash the salt water off before you return to your chairs by the ocean or the pools. The food was very good and the entertainment team works hard to put together entertaining shows. When the DJ fires up the system in the middle pool area the acoustics are a bit insane as the base shakes the place to the point of discomfort, however, when they are in the lower pool area it is perfect and fun. Do visit the spa while you are here. It is very relaxing and enjoyable. Mily took great care of my massage and mini facial and she is very skilled. It was the perfect way to end my week at the resort.

The service at Bar Two is excellent and you need to seek out Daniel, Rocio, and Eduardo. They are all great and will take care of you.

I am one day into a seven day trip, and highly regretting my decision to stay here. If I could leave and get a refund, I would. This place is old, out dated, and smells of mold. The absolute worst part is that right outside our balcony room (that we paid extra for), there are multiple massive AC units, that sound like a plane’s engine. Nothing about this is relaxing or peaceful. The food at the St Trop restaurant was disgusting. Nobody at the front desk or room service will answer their phone. Speaking of phone, good luck finding a place to charge yours, we had to move furniture to find plug ins. Don’t waste your money here. 6 months ago I stayed down the road at the Royal Sands, it was comparable in price, and so so much nicer.

Located in Cancun’s famed Hotel Zone, Sandos Resort Cancun is a fun place for a Mexican getaway. It’s located right by the Caribbean Sea, with direct beach access and a good number of amenities to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. My wife and I spent several days at Sandos Resort and we liked what this resort offers. The resort is adults- only, and all- inclusive and it’s the first time either of us had ever stayed in an adult- only resort. Now that we have experienced this, we highly recommend it. The absence of young children means it’s quieter than other resorts, free from the screams, crying, etc of youngsters. With amenities, you get quite a few. There is a large outdoor pool with three levels, a spa, water sports, and multiple restaurants. Some of the restaurants are open and available for immediately a-la-cart service. Others require that you make a reservation first, but don’t worry- there is almost always space available. And since it’s all- inclusive, you don’t need to think about or worry about the price, or tips, or settling your credit card, or anything else. It’s already paid for, so indulge and treat yourself as you like. We spent most of our time utilizing the a-la-cart options, because they were there when we wanted them, no reservation required. But we did visit some of the others, with Frattini’s Italian being our favorite. We had a good experience with the staff at Sandos Cancun, and we found everyone accommodating and helpful. It did get a little annoying having to deal with the areas that are reserved for those with elite status- we don’t have this status, so there were some things we could not partake in. But I get it- they have a special status level for those who want a little more pampering, which makes sense from a marketing perspective. Since part of my trip was to get engaged, Sandos Cancun will always have special meaning for me. I also appreciate that the staff, after telling them I was there to get engaged, surprised us with a special bottle of wine and two glasses. They were sitting on the table in our room, waiting for us when we returned, right after I had popped the question. We won’t forget this kind gesture, and it certainly left a lasting impression. Overall. Sandos Resort Cancun is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy some self- indulgence and relaxation. There is much to see and do in the Yucatan, and most who visit here will venture outside of the Hotel Zone, in search of other attractions. But the fact is, Sandos Resort Cancun has everything you need to spend your entire vacation right here. It’s a great place to stay in this popular seaside resort city.

There are many good things about this hotel but I will start with the faults. The sacrifices my husband & I had to make after spending $3700 to stay here. Room service is not 24/7! They stop picking up the phone after 9:30pm, I thought I would try again at 6:00am the next day @ still the line kept ringing. Make sure they don’t put you in a room on the 6th floor as there is a 6th floor bar & you’ll be hearing drunks, screaming, & door slamming until 3am. Also, I woke up at 5:00am every single day just to put towels on our chairs (NOT OVER EXAGGERATING). Spots are VERY LIMITED & if you don’t do this, you’ll have to lay your towel on the sand. They have barely any cabanas/chairs on the beach. Their reservation “system” is trash & only have TWO restaurants open per day. Their app DOESN’T work either. Mon-fri it’s first come first serve. We went at 6:00pm when they opened & we were told to come back at 9:00pm. Misleading information at reservation desk which made us miss a dinner & the buffet isn’t the greatest so you’ll go to bed hungry as I did. You will also see all the “higher up” staff having meetings at breakfast & dinner enjoying their wine while many changes need to be made here. The mattresses are old & your body will sink in which gave me lower back pain the entire stay. The good things about the hotel is how intimate it felt & the service was amazing (if you did get room service they were always there within 5 mins), the restaurant St.Trop on the beach has the best food & so does the Seasons (international) restaurant. The rooms were cleaned nicely. The staff are all hard workers. FREDY (has glasses) is the best server. He never stops working & literally made the experience much better. He works so hard & fast. I appreciated his service. Also, the showers outside & the space to wash your feet are always clean. Anyways I did enjoy my stay but it is definitely not a 5-star hotel. Next time I will do more research for sure.
