Travelled there last week. Checked into a room with NO Balcony. Bell hop told me to call front desk for a room change. Of course they had no balcony rooms. The guy that took me to my room assured me that I would be changed the next day. So I didn't unpack. Same conversation went on day after day. First morning make coffee in room. A joke,,,,poured out about 1/8th of an inch of coffee in the cup. They had 3 elevators and only 2 worked the first 5 days. The last 2 days, only 1 worked. The only good thing I can say is the staff was excellent. Except the concierge, who are only there to sell you their Elite program. Talked to a few that had bought. 20 weeks over 10 years and you pay the all inclusive rate per day of 60-100 depending on season. When they tried with me,,,told them I would never come back to this resort.Talked to 1 guy who bought,,,they started at 65K and he paid 6K. I will just close in saying, there are a lot of 5 Star resorts in Mexico, and I could name a lot of them,,,Iberostar Grand would be a 10 Star compared to this property, and they are both rated the same. What a joke

Our stay was fantastic at the Sandos Lifestyle Resort. We had great service at the pool, with our towels and seats reserved every morning from Alex Dioz. Our cocktails were always quick and delicious from Cassanova and Luis. We will be back for another relaxing vacation.

Just came back from another 10 days at the Sandos. It was our 4th stay at this hotel in the last four years. I can definitely say that the staff at this hotel makes this hotel a great place to spend your holiday. We have in the last four years only met employees that make your stay enjoyable. Starting with Diana the hostess at Zango and our two waiters Jesus and Joel that went out of their way to meet our needs. A special thank you to Wendy at Bar One who also with a great smile greets you every night. A special mention goes out to Dulce for making sure everything was to our satisfaction. The only issue I had this time is that all restaurants did not have the wine selection that I prefer and is offered at the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the quality of the food is very good. Thank your Adam, Ernesto and Roxy for good humour everyday. It is surely not easy to please everybody day in and day out. Hope to see you all soon.

This hotel is older but clean. Room was average; no balcony, but cleaned well daily and turn down service too. All employees we encountered were friendly, and service was good. The food and alcohol were another story entirely. The bar at beach, near the pools ran out of gin, vodka and crown royal everyday. They would then substitute with something else, and not even tell you. Only when you tried to consume the drink, then you would find out it was not what you ordered. That can be dangerous for some people, due to allergies. The buffet for breakfast was very small, and limited. No bacon or sausage? The steak house has descriptions that do not match the food delivered after your order. Short ribs were a cheap cut of beef, no ribs involved? Meat was always under cooked (blue, not even rare). Best meal was at Gaijin, and that was very average. The cooking classes had the best food at lunch. Entertainment team were very engaging, but sometimes too loud. Lots of activities, if that's what you are looking for. The furniture, both inside and out, is old and needs replacement. Overall, we will not return, as the product does not match the price, or description of resort. Would not recommend to family or friends.

Don’t go to Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort, entertainment has taken over the hotel and management has totally lost control and the feeling for customer satisfaction. My wife and I check ind November 4 and was there until November 16, but already after two days I tried calling Expedia in that hope that we could change hotel. The issue with Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort is several thinks, but most important is that entertainment totally has taken over the hotel playing really loud music over the pool array the whole day trough. We knew from booking the hotel that they advertised playing all kind of music with something they call “Rhythm experience” and we like different kinds of music. But what we experience was music played over 100dB measured on my iPhone, and most of the tie disco remixed music with a strong bass rhythms, most suitable to a discotheque. We tried a couple of times to to explain the hotel management that we was not satisfied and we could hear that people around us was complaining also. There was many older citizens and people with book readers and I think it is a disrespectful behavior from the hotel management, to allow this to happened. Even when they daily was “forcing” us listing to bingo or cooking lessons it was done with a self-absorbed person from entertainment and still with volume level between 90-100dB. Some days even the different entertainment activities was competing with music in the bar/restaurants. We have been all over the world normally booked on 4-5 star hotels. Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort suppose to be a 4 dot something star hotel, but we would rate this hotel with much much less stars. The food selection and quality is maybe on a good day, on the level of maybe 2-3 star. We experience on one of the restaurant where booking was mandatory and meeting time stated important, that the servant keep us waiting for 20 minutes before he closed the doors and started and by that time the first guests has left. Because the servant was continuous making jokes with guests in a way that we all felt unpleasant and he was even making jokes that now we was going to eat mouse, dog and cat, not something you would expect on a high star hotel where people dress up and look forward to a nice dinner. During our stay some restaurant was closed like one bar, and we experience only to be able to eat at one restaurant 1 out of 5 attempts to enter, giving us the feeling that if the food is bad enough and the possibilities of getting a table is difficult enough, people seek outside of the hotel for diner, but on the other hand that is cheaper for Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort I must also state that this is the first time in my maybe more that 100 different hotel stays, that the only reel option for dinner was pizza in what is only a cafeteria. We been in Caribbean many times and been in Mexico twice. We where in Cancun tree yes ago in Hotel Live Aqua a really 5 star hotel. So we could know the standard to expect also from a Mexico hotel and our recommendations is: don’t spend your money on Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort we would recommend; go for another Hotel, even throws it will cost you free dollars more, because it is a waste of good vacation otherwise.
