I'm sharing my experience at Sandos so that others will feel confident in picking this beautiful resort. All the staff were amazing, the food was great and we were blessed with excellent weather. My boyfriend and i went there from October 7th till October 12th. My only complaint was that i was the only one who didn't receive a rose at check in like everyone else, which isn't much to complain about! Every restaurant was great and had it's own charm. The thing i enjoyed the most was that they ask you before you are seated if you have any food allergies, which i do, I'm lactose intolerant. This saved me a lot from ordering things i counldn't have, Edgar the waiter from the Italian restaurant stopped me from consuming chicken that had dairy. The chef, Arturo even came out to greet us, which was extra nice. Our favorite restaurant was seasons, we went twice. Ask for the chocolate volcano..........with fire. Breakfast was at Zango, best waiter was Mario, he really got to know us and he was so great. The greeters at Zango, Diana & Melissa knew us by Nunes and knew my lactose allergy, it made us feel like they really knew us. Everyone there was just so nice and went out of their way for us, like Antonio who served us drinks at the pool. Yes, they serve you drinks and food by the pool and beach! There is also an amazing Hibachi restaurant where Daniel put an excellent show for us. Besides the amazing food and atmosphere there was great entertainment by Edwardo, Ernesto and Adam. They were funny and got you involved. There was plenty to do from beach volleyball, pool volleyball, pool side bingo, and cooking lessons by the pool. If you are hesitant to book this resort, don't be. I would love to go back. Defiantly a perfect getaway for relaxation and good times.

I would like to give a big compliment to my hostess Melissa and server Jesus from Zango restaurant. They are nice and friendly. It was our pleasure to meet them. They make me feel I'm at home. I would love to stay longer if I could.

My wife and I had booked 9 days at this resort purposely to enjoy the ocean, beach and generally relax. As we arrived before our room was ready our luggage was stowed and we were invited to change and enjoy the restaurants, bars, etc. (all inclusive). During check-in we asked to change our room to one with a balcony (I believed I had requested that option on-line when I booked the trip) however we were informed it was a $250 upgrade! Well, we chalked this up to lesson's learned and booked the option. We did not regret this choice as we had a partial view of the ocean and beach and it gave us nice sunset views all week! Lunch at Zango was a la carte and we didn't think anything of this at the time however we came to find out later that only breakfast was buffet there, every other meal is served a la carte at all restaurants. Melissa was an awesome hostess all week! We had lunch at San Tropez which has any airy view of the beach and pool area. The food was Ok but not spectacular, which is generally our experience with these restaurants. The highlight at San Tropez is definitely the views and the pizza and panzerotti from the outdoor oven! Our room was clean, towels and other supplies were plentiful and this quality was consistently maintained all week. The mini-bar was stocked with water, pop, snacks and a few beers. These also were replenished daily. The beach is well maintained and we experienced no shortage of beds or loungers all week. Staff could provide covers for the beds and pillows however this service was inconsistent, on the other hand drink orders were often taken for those not wishing to take a short walk to either of the 2 bars close by. We never had any trouble getting towels replenished or being served drinks and water by the beach/ pool staff. The restaurants are a mixed lot for sure! The steak & Chinese restaurants were a big disappointment so after our first visit we did not return. The steak at the 'French' restaurant arrived appearing having been broiled and was only about 1/4" thick! The best reastaurant by far is Fratinis where Isidro, Vobani, Dany and Narikel looked after us very well! The gym was by far the best I have experienced at a resort; lots of different machines, plenty of towels and water. The only drawback was that it was far too hot so every workout was extra challenging! Overall we had a great experience however we cannot give Sandos a 5 due to the inconsistent food quality/ options and not keeping the vendors away from the guests on the beach. I understand this is likely public property but a lifeguard literally stood there while vendors constantly trawled among the sunbeds selling everything from sunglasses to cocaine.

Great resort with very friendly staff. Although the weather wasn't great (it rained most days) we still had a great time. The staff made sure we still enjoyed our stay by hosting various activities. The hotel was right on the beach which was very clean.
