Strong smell of varnish on our floor, room got hot at night, some of the restaurants had long waits or service, not much to do. But the spa was amazing.

We recently returned from a stay where the physical resort truly shined. Our room was stunning—modern, spacious, and kept spotless by a hardworking housekeeping team. We opted for an ocean view and highly recommend it (Pro tip: Odd-numbered rooms get the most sun, while even numbers stay shaded). The grounds are impeccably maintained, and the Life Fitness equipment in the gym is top-tier. The dining was generally impressive. We loved the green curry salmon at Dragons and our server Carlis was a gem! The casual bites at Half Time were also good. However, Bluewater Grill didn’t live up to the hype; the NY Strip was surprisingly tough. The biggest drawback was the constant "sales" atmosphere. Being pressured to buy $100+ bottles of wine via iPads at dinner felt "cheap," and the pool staff offering priority seating in exchange for expensive wine purchases felt beneath the Secrets brand. Furthermore, the aggressive "vacation club" pitches are a waste of our precious vacation time. While the service and entertainment were great, the high-pressure environment makes us hesitant to return.

I couldn't find where you could ask questions, so here goes : Have read the hotel is non smoking throughout - is this true ? I only ask as I myself are a smoker and just wondered if there were any specified areas that you could ?
