This was so far the best vacation we have been on. The Secrets The Vine is the best resort I have ever seen. The hospitality was wonderful. Our butler name was Esparza. He made us feel at home. Esparza greeded us with grace and kindness. He always greeded us with a smile asking how we were doing if we needed anything. If so let him know and he would get it for us. My wife and I are coming back next year. We are hoping that Esparza is still working here. He is the only butler that we want. The other 5 couples that came on the retreat. We all went on an outing to the Judge Tour. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We all rent cave diving, sink whole diving and road ATVS I would recommend The jungle tour to anyone who stays at the The Secrets The Vine. The food was great. Never had any complaints about none of the food. Most of the time we all ate Sea Salt Bar and grill. Anything that you wanted the waiter made sure that they got for you. The Market Cafe was wonderful as well. Great Breafast and Lunch Menu. All in we didn't want to leave. The Sercrets The Vine is a wonderful resort. I would recommend this resort to anyone who would ask me about a resort, Playa Del Carmen Mexico. Thank You.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful seven day vacation. The initial greeting here was wonderful. We got there just the two of us, and they initially greeted us by name and with champagne. We had a private check in with our butler and he showed us our room. It was a wonderful experience. The views from the room are beautiful.....In the preferred club you can look everything up for the resort on your iPad (an iPad is provided for you in your room on ur nightstand). You can also order room service on the IPad (we did and they wheeled it out onto our balcony). The resort itself was absolutely stunning. Very modern which was what we were going for! The elevators were air conditioned and had televisions in them, I've never experienced this from my many other vacations down south..... The resort was also extremely clean. Empty glasses/plates are not laying around the resort.... Although there were lots of people, it didn't ever seem crowded. Lots of times we were the only people at the sports bar or in the buffet for breakfast (dragon restaurant- go here for breakfast it's like dead but has the same food as the market cafe).....We had no problem getting beach chairs either. Always somewhere to sit whether you were inside or out.... The staff honestly make the vacation. Everything is replied with "my pleasure". All the staff in the sports bar treated us very well, we spent a lot of time there at the bar with Juan and Jamie! Very nice and on the ball with refills.....Esprasa & Vladmir were our butlers in the preferred club. They were both so polite and friendly- always asking if we needed anything or if they could do anything for us. You could always find them easily on our floor. As with every other all inclusive I've ever been to, men need to wear long pants at many of the a la cartes. I do believe you can look up the dress code online! I love that, it keeps the restaurants more formal. I also loved the food. We went to the blue water steakhouse a la carte twice, Boris and Felipe were our waiters there. The tenderloin was cooked just the way I like it. I am very picky and I had a couple special requests at the restaurant (that sometimes are forgotten about when I am home- my order is wrong often) but these guys got my order right I was SO happy!.... We also went to the Dragons a la carte for supper. My husband loves Asian food, me not so much but I ordered the chicken teppanyaki and it was delicious. My husband said the sushi was really good too. We also shared some peanut chicken skewers and oh my they were great!!!....... At the breakfast and lunch buffets, Jessica and Fatima are the sweetest hostesses!! At the lunch buffet in the market grill there was always forms of seafood, they even had sushi several days. I often ate fish and chicken that were under the heat lamps for lunch, both were great..... For lunch you can eat at the buffet in the main area of the hotel, you can go to (I think it's called) the Olio restaurant (which has a sit down menu) at the the preferred club pool area, OR there is also a sit down menu by the regular pool inside the sea salt grill if you go inside.. and you can eat burgers outside of the sea salt grill (they will make them in front of you). The burgers are really good too..... One day our pool waiter, Oliver, brought us burgers while we were in the preferred club pool area. He was a great waiter! Our drinks also never went empty there either! Janvier was also a super cool guy up at the preferred club pool area- honest and funny (If you want a romantic dinner go see him up there)....We also did go to the regular pool A couple times and Alejandro was our waiter down there- he was so on the ball too and so sweet!!!! I honestly can't say how much I loved the staff there- there are no words good enough to describe them! Bring money for tips, they all deserve it! Overall, the drinks at the resort were delicious. The frozen drinks were really good and you could get cocktails and martinis, or whatever you liked -they would make it for you. I really enjoyed the frozen "cabana" drink- tasted like strawberry yogurt. I also drank tons of champagne. There was also wine sampling everyday (usually after lunch and before dinner) which I really enjoyed. You got to sample wines from different countries without having to buy the bottle. (All the a la carte restaurants there have wine you can buy, we didn't buy any but the option is there if you'd like). At night we would go to the Piano Bar. The bar tenders there were also amazing, never had an empty glass! It was a beautiful spot as well. This is where the live DJ usually runs from about 11/12-2am. The night we went there were people up dancing the entire time, it was fun. My friend went up and requested songs and they actually played them! The only con I would mention is people ask you about attending the time share presentations a lot and it gets old. When we walked by The VIP service people in the lobby they would start talking to us asking how we were doing and then when we started talking back they would ask do u want a discount at the spa and bla bla so we just said no thanks and walked away... we later began to walk past and avoid eye contact or smiling.... but in all honesty, every other popular chain all inclusive I've been to has had people ask about time shares too so I guess I should get used to it.... They do offer you a massage or something free if you go to their one and a half hour long (I think that's how long we were told it was) time share presentation breakfast but we are so not into time shares so we never went (I suggest you educate yourself a bit on them before you say yes to going IF you are unfamiliar with them). My husband works so much that it was not at all worth our time either... that being said the spa there looks beautiful, but I think it was the most expensive out of all the places I have been for all inclusives in Mexico, Dominican, Cuba, and Jamaica so I decided it personally was not worth it to go to the spa anyways. Overall this is the best all inclusive I have ever been to. I have visited their sister chain, Dreams, but I honestly think we will stick with Secrets from now on. Highly recommend.

Our vacation at the vine was absolutely marvelous there are special staff there that make that possible. My husband and I Must give special recognition to Luigi to Mario Diaz, toLudwig Montana and at the Market Cafe to Caesar y Lino and to Hostess Jessica. The hotel is a modern Miami type high risr with a more Spanish influence.

Everything was perfect when went there. Staff is friendly and happy to help. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and I still dream about that room and the views. They pull out all the stops for you without hesitation. On our last night they surprised us with the rose and bucket of champagne. However, my wife does not like dry champagne. They switched out for us free of charge. That is the level of care they give there guest. We will definitely go back.

Service and staff were terrific at pools, bars and restaurants. Room was spotless with a view of the Gulf and pools and was maintained daily by cleaning staff. Pools were warm and chairs provided great views of the beach if you could get them close to the beach. Pool staff ensured drinks were a plenty and very pleasant, especially Eduardo. Blue Water Grille was our favorite restaurant, and our server Arturo who we had for two nights there was the best!!! Fatima the hostess at the Market Cafe greeted us with a smile every morning for breakfast. The fresh OJ, omelettes, and french toast were great. Red vine bar in the evening had a good mix old old and new that kept people moving. Lobby cafe had great cappuccino. Read reviews about the timeshare and up-selling push on check-in so we avoided this and focused our time on relaxation, which STV definitely provides.
