Secrets The Vine Cancun

I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone looking for good food or service. This is my second time visiting, and my fourth time at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, but this place's food and services have degraded significantly compared to my first visit. You can expect most of the food to be equivalent to $10 bar food, with just a few exceptions. The hotel has good facilities, good services and, in general, the front-line staff showed a good attitude. However, our experience as a group of 12 people was far below what we expected from a Hyatt hotel and from a stay that is presented as a premium experience. The main issue was the restaurant operation and the hotel’s inability to properly handle a group. Throughout almost the entire stay, we had difficulties being seated together. This happened in different restaurants, so it was not an isolated situation. In general, there was available capacity or reasonable alternatives, such as joining nearby tables or opening available areas, but the initial response was almost always negative or not solution-oriented. Only after complaining or escalating the situation would a solution appear. The most incomprehensible case was Market Café, where there was a large table that could accommodate our group. Even so, we were repeatedly given problems when trying to use it or have it properly set up. On one occasion, 10 of us were seated and we asked to add 2 more seats; we were told the table was for 10 and no one helped us add the extra seats, so we had to do it ourselves. Another day, we were told that the area was closed, even though the table was right next to the buffet, which was open. Only after asking to speak with the hotel manager was the table made available. At another restaurant, we waited more than 45 minutes for a table for 6 people, even though there were several 2- and 4-person tables available and close to each other that could have been joined. The issue was not an absolute lack of space, but a lack of judgment, coordination and flexibility. We were also disappointed by the quality of the included wines. The hotel offers recognized spirits such as Absolut, Stolichnaya, Ketel One and Jack Daniel’s, but the wines were clearly below that standard. One of the bottles offered can be found in Chile for around US$2, which does not seem consistent with a premium experience or with the price level of the hotel. My conclusion is that Secrets The Vine Cancun may work well for couples or small groups. But I would not recommend it for groups of more than 4 people. When paying for a Hyatt experience, one expects not only good facilities, but also a coordinated, flexible operation that lives up to a premium standard. In our case, that did not happen.

This is my first time in Cancun as well as my first trip outside the USA in 22 years. First of all I stayed in the Honeymoon Suite (preferred members) and I must say that the sunset view alone was worth the trip! Every view here is just breathtaking and amazing! The staff goes above and beyond to meet or exceed your every expectation and they come through with flying colors! I honestly don’t have a negative thing to say about this property and I looked and looked. Trust me when I say book here, you’ll be glad you did. If you go preferred level check out Benjamin at the 12 floor pool, great guy! And really the whole staff at the pool on the 12th floor were amazing!

Beautiful resort! Right on the beach! Our shower water did not get hot - maybe only Luke warm so prepare for that! 🤣 BRING SMALL BILLS FOR TIPPING. It can be difficult to get small change, we had to ask the wait staff - which if they have it they do not mind at all!

We love everything about this resort! The location, atmosphere, food and service. The view is absolutely amazing - the colors of the ocean look like a filter and our room had a fantastic view. The service is always top notch, the wait staff go above and beyond. And, the food is amazing - especially all of the fresh fruit options and the seafood. The breakfast buffet options are great too. I also love being able to get a snack, sandwich or coffee anytime at the Vine Cafe. The hotel and the room are also. very clean. We recommend the resort to everyone who asks.
