Then, two days later, we visited a completely different restaurant—and to our surprise, there he was again! It honestly felt like we kept running into an old friend. Jesus is incredibly friendly, cheerful, and genuinely kind. From the moment we met him, he made us feel welcome and took great care of us. His positive energy and warm personality made every dining experience even more enjoyable. When he found out that we were leaving the next day, he went above and beyond by arranging a special cake with a personalized message just for us. It was such a thoughtful surprise, and it made our honeymoon even more memorable. If you’re visiting Secrets The Vine, do yourself a favor and ask for Jesus. He is the kind of person who turns a great vacation into an unforgettable one. I had the best massage ever at the Secrets Tye Vine Spa with Veronica. I get massages everywhere I go. This hands down the best massage experience ever. Know that the spa offers specials and discounts on their services. It was absolutely fabulous!! Highly recommend..

Wonderful long weekend here! Entertainment has been amazing! Food fantastic and overall service very good. A standout server is Jesus! Employed having him serve us for lunch in Sea Salt, then for dinner in Bluewater Grill. Excellent recommendations and a sense of humor. Loved our room, too!

We have stayed at The Vine too many times to count over the past thirteen years. While we have seen the resort age, menus and owners change, what keeps us coming back every year, at least once a year, are the people who take care of us during our stay. These “people” are our friends/family and are the best part of our trip. Abiel (room service) leads the pack and makes sure EVERYTHING is taken care of for us. He goes above and beyond and truly just wants to make sure we have the best experience during our stay (and he does this for every guest, not just us.) Abiel knows our preferences, anticipates our arrival and our needs, and makes sure everything is perfect for our stay. He ensures our coffee and cappuccino start our day off and always surprises us with special treats. Abiel also managed to arrange a special, traditional Mexican meal with the help of Chef Enrique! He is so thoughtful and is one of the hardest working people I know. We love Abiel and are grateful to have him as our dear friend. We dined at Market Cafe for both breakfast and lunch. Yazmin and Patricia (hostesses) greeted us warmly every day. They are both so friendly, personable, and are always wearing a smile. Our longtime friend and server, Ceasar, took exceptionally good care of us. Our preferred drinks were always waiting for us on our table. (He also knew our orders from memory!). He was off a few days during our stay, but Ceasar made sure that we were still taken care of in his absence by Adrian and Manolo. Adrian and Manolo did a wonderful job, as usual. Bernie also was a familiar, friendly face that greeted us on multiple days and went out of his way to welcome us, even though we weren’t sitting in his section. Chef Abraham and Chef Olegario specially prepared amazing fish tacos for lunch every day (we’ve been eating these same tacos for several years now. They are a “staple” in our “diet” at The Vine!) Alejandro (waiter) at Blue Water has become a dear friend of ours. He has such a joyful presence and always takes exceptional care of us. We don’t drink alcohol, so Alejandro makes sure to have a special mocktail on order. (He never disappoints with his selections!). Additionally, no matter what restaurant we dine at with Alejandro, he always knows the menu like the back of his hand and can confidently make recommendations. (I also appreciate Alejandro’s eagerness to help me with my Spanish!) Alejandro is truly an asset and always ensures guests have an amazing dining experience. Angel(guest service manager) and Carlos(beach butler) took exceptionally care of us on the beach. We have known Angel for quite some time now and he is always so welcoming, helpful, and informative and makes sure we had whatever we needed during our stay. Angel also arranged a special dinner at Dragon with Chef Isidro. Isidro took great care of us at dinner and we were so full from our delicious meal. Jerri was our waiter at Dragon and did a wonderful job. Angel also set us up with his friend Cesar at Nebbiolo. Cesar was a fantastic waiter and we enjoyed a lovely dinner with him. Carlos did an amazing job on the beach! He honestly is probably the most hardworking beach butler we’ve had at ANY resort we’ve visited. He was always hustling, setting up chairs, towels, and umbrellas for guests. He walked around during the day adjusting guests’ umbrellas as the sun moved about the sky. He would change out all the wet towels for dry ones after rain showers. He is also incredibly personable and gets to know guests. (Angel knows how to pick and train the right people!) Alberto was our waiter at the beach, and he did a great job. He knew our usual order and was very attentive (for example, he would always have cold water bottles waiting for us at our chairs when we returned from our walks on the beach.) We appreciate when staff members pay such close attention to our habits. Ixchel at the coffee bar has been a familiar face for over a decade. She knows my husbands order and preferences and a serves every guests’ order with a beautiful smile. She is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and hardworking, which makes her perfect for the coffee bar. We’ve enjoyed seeing Ixchel over the many years we’ve been coming to The Vine. Mauricio was our butler on the 24th floor. This was the second time we have been privileged to have Mauricio’s service. He did an excellent job of making sure any and all preferences were taken care of during our stay. His communication with us during our stay was exceptional. He addressed any problems in the room promptly and effectively. He was also so thoughtful in sending chocolates to our room one night when we didn’t need turndown service (he knew I loved the chocolates left with turndown service!). Wendy (housekeeping) did an amazing job cleaning our room. Honestly, she was probably the best housekeeper we had at any resort! Our room was SO CLEAN every day (like brand new, check-in style clean!). We appreciate such attention to detail and hard work. A few words regarding the resort itself: the gym is very important to us no matter where we go. We were happy to see that the gym had started upgrading the equipment…high-end equipment, at that. Some of the older machines still need some maintenance, but overall, The Vine still boasts one of the best gyms (that view cannot be beat!). Our ocean-front master suite had new curtains, but the upholstered furniture still could use a deep clean (we noticed this on our last trip.). Additionally, the lamps on the nightstand have been removed. Normally, we wouldn’t even notice such a thing, but the lamps had an electrical outlet on their base. This outlet was rather handy for plugging in chargers. The only available outlet nearby was behind the nightstand and buried in other chords. The room service menu is still rather disappointing. There is a ton of American food and no real Mexican food! We miss the old menu options! As always, we had an amazing time at The Vine and anxiously await our next trip. The staff members mentioned above deserve much recognition and praise. The beaches in Cancun are beautiful, but our special people at The Vine are what make Cancun amazing to us. We thank our friends/family for everything!🤍
