Secrets The Vine Cancun

We had booked the new Secrets resort, Mirabel, however it did not open in October as expected so we were relocated to Secrets the Vine. We visited the Vine in 2015 so it was nice to return and see the changes. As usual, we use AmStar for our transfers to/from the airport which is always pleasant and comfortable. Once we were dropped off at resort, Carlos (Charlie), UVC member services met us at the Preferred Club (PC) lounge. We booked at PC oceanfront Governor Suite w/plunge pool at Mirabel, however the Vine does not offer the same accommodations. The spacious governor suite at the Vine offers ocean/lagoon views which are very nice. We did request an upgrade to one of the four presidential suites but there were not available. Previously, we stayed in a PC oceanfront master suite, unfortunately those rooms were not available either. Our PC 28th floor concierge team, Aldo and Rosanna were OUTSTANDING!! They even surprised us one afternoon with the special ceremonial champagne sabrage ritual and presented us with gifts as well. The PC lounge team, bartender Adonay and Jessy were extremely attentive and treated us like family too. Our food experiences were nothing short of superb! Sea Salt Grill server Alejandro, Olio breakfast server Rosa, Nebbillo Javier were all great. We book a Chef’s table with Chef Daniel and waiter Alejandro – most excellent experience! For our last night we did a personal wine tasting with Sommelier Luis and assistant Eduardo followed by a private cabana dinner at sunset on the 12th floor. Chef Jaime, manager Luis and server Marcil gave personal attention while respecting our privacy and made our evening extraordinarily memorable! During our 5-day visit we booked a cabana with the pool concierge Angel and our server Juan they took amazing care of us – we wanted for nothing!! Fernando was our server on Juan’s day off and provided great service also. The entertainment each evening was impressive. Don’t miss out on the Mexican Fiesta and book your table!! The singers, dancers, mariachi band – all were impressive!! We enjoyed our return visit and look forward to returning in the future as we understand there are many new things to come to Secrets the Vine.

Absolutely the best resort in Cancun Hotel Zone. Don’t listen to the bad reviews, book your trip! My wife and I have been to Mexico a dozen times and by far this hotel exceeded my expectations. The Vine feels more like a hotel than a resort which I think is great. Everything so close and not far to walk to. Most restaurants are inside which is nice after spending the day in the sun. The complaints you see about food honestly I don’t understand them. They go out of their way to fix items on every restaurant menu to your liking. Many restaurants to choose from but our favorite was Dragons. The food is outstanding. Honestly all the restaurants we really enjoyed. Yes, if you don’t go to eat at 6pm every night you will wait. There is no reservations except for those that are sold to you with other deals throughout your stay. I think they cook the best steaks in all of Mexico. Try Blue Water grille. Awesome food. Mexican night on Wednesday is also fantastic. Finally some Mexican food! Rooms: We stayed in preferred club on 23 and Martin our butler was fantastic. Made sure everyday our room and day was always top notch. The room was huge with fantastic views of ocean and bayside. Hot water and great water pressure and huge shower for two. :) Pools: Awesome with plenty of space and chairs available. Big plus for me is no towel policy. Can get as many clean towels as you wanted. Bar service every 10 minutes someone comes by if you don’t feel like visiting the 3 that are so close to you. One item I would say is a little lacking Is lunch options. Burgers and Hotdogs everyday and seafood for those who like. Some days we just wanted good old tacos with chicken or beef. We did get the made If you ask but I felt weird doing so. Overall the pools are awesome. There is no bars inside the pool however for those looking for this. Beach: best in Mexico in my mind. Clean, soft white sand. Waves are awesome and you can just sit out in the water all day if you wanted to. One item I would say is lacking is the chairs on the beach. Not as many as expected and not very comfortable like the pool chairs. Yes, there is constant people selling items on the beach but this happens everywhere. Just say no and they move on. Service: I give them a top notch 5 out of 5. Fantastic, smiling faces and they never say no. To anything need it’s always a yes. They make the trip so special. Will miss all these great workers who work there tails Off to make your stay so special. Again, don’t wait and book a trip to the Vine. You will love it. We will for sure be back.

Best waiter I’ve ever had on my honeymoon he did everything possible to make it special. 10/10. Great resort and couldn’t speak highly enough of the amenities provided!

We had an amazing experience at the steakhouse restaurant at Secrets The Vine! A huge thank you to Chef Norbelin, José, and Uriel for their outstanding and attentive service. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, even offering special options like kosher meat — which was incredible! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the staff made us feel truly cared for. Highly recommended!
