Secrets The Vine Cancun

This is the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. I love Mexico and have stayed at many resorts which have all been wonderful. My husband’s company booked out rooms here for roughly 100+ employees for their award trip. After the award ceremony 8 of us came to mine and my husband’s room to hang out. We had no music playing, we were not loud and had no noise complaints, but after 15 minutes of arriving to our room the night manager, “Ramirez” called our room and said it was against Secret’s policy to have more than two people in a room. We looked up the policies and that is not true. My husband went down to the lobby to inquire about what the issue was and Ramirez told him he was watching us on cameras in our room and we were violating their policy by having more than two guests in the room. My husband asked him to confirm that he had cameras in our room and he confirmed it again a second time. I went down afterward to ask him about it because I’m extremely uncomfortable at the thought of a man watching me on hidden cameras in my hotel and he denied everything and then threatened to call security on me. I was polite and soft spoken and just genuinely concerned that I was being watched on camera while in the privacy of my room and instead of assurance or an apology I was met with aggressive threats. I became very uncomfortable and went back to my room to avoid confrontation because this man was scary, rude, and made me feel very uncomfortable. Worst experience ever. I’m literally the nicest person and love traveling and never have bad experiences, but do NOT stay at this resort.

Secrets The Vine is excellent. Do NOT go the "90 minute" presentation that you could earn a "free" 3 night stay in the future. It's for UVC . Just look at all their horrible reviews. Hyatt should be ashamed of their affiliation

We ve been to secrets the vine several times. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. One of our very awesome bartenders Carols always took care of us.

The staff and the accommodations were impeccable. My only complaint would be that most the food was like warm, that includes breakfast buffet, seafood restaurant and room service. One exception was Dragons Restaurant, they were amazing and Chef Yisidro and waiter Rigoberto were the kindest of souls. They treated my friends and I like we were family in their own homes. This Restaurant is a must.

I have been to quite a few all-inclusive resorts around Mexico and so far I feel Secrets The Vine has been the best experience I’ve had. The food options were more interesting, diverse, creative, and tasty than I have enjoyed at similar resorts. All of the personnel and staff were so gracious, kind, and helpful that I wanted to take each one of them home with us to reciprocate their many kindnesses but taking care of them for a week.
