Nice Property, But Harassed by Sales Staff The resort itself is nice, but the VIP sales staff completely ruined the experience. We were pulled into a “special offer” for a couples spa that was clearly tied to a timeshare presentation disguised as a “lunch.” Once we realized what it actually was, we declined and agreed to just pay the $250 spa price. That should have been the end of it. It wasn’t. We were repeatedly stopped around the hotel—elevators, lobby, walkways—by staff pushing the same pitch. It felt less like hospitality and more like being targeted. One staff member even implied the agreed price could go up because we refused to attend the presentation, which felt manipulative and completely inappropriate. By the end of the stay, simply walking through the property felt stressful because we expected to be approached again. That’s not what a vacation should feel like. Pool seating is also poorly managed—chairs are “reserved” and left empty for hours with no enforcement. Bottom line: Nice resort, but the aggressive, pushy sales culture makes it hard to relax. I would not stay here again.

I went to Secrets the Vine Cancun for a five day trip with my husband to celebrate my 40th Birthday. It was a very nice trip for the price. While I felt the resort fell a little short with their pool vibes and the music catered to an older crowd, this resort really shined with it's staff. I wanted to take a moment to share some of the service highlights I had while on my trip. Rosa was our server every morning at Olio. She was super sweet and attentive. Honestly, our experience at breakfast at Olio was what made booking preferred actually worth it. Thanks Rosa! Ricardo, the property's sommelier, gave really great wine tastings in the lobby. He seems to have a gift for teaching- he delivered a lot of information about wine in a funny, approachable way. Thanks Ricardo! Ixchel at the coffee bar served a great latte and was fun to chat with. If anything makes you feel at home, it's a good cup of coffee. Thanks Ixchel! Alejandro finally booked us a table for the Mexican night. We were having a bit of hard time understanding how to do that and he helped us out. I'm really glad we booked that table- Mexican night will be a really great memory for my 40th birthday and I really appreciate feeling a little special that night. Thanks Alejandro! Also, special shout-out to other servers we had: Gustavo who served me that terrific ribeye at the Bluewater Grill, Pedro who served us a second full round of the delicious sushi at Dragons without judgement, and a gentleman at Sea Salt Grill who made sure I was getting enough strawberry margaritas on my birthday (I'm so sorry to have forgotten your name). I recently had the pleasure of staying at Secrets The Vine Cancun, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with stunning ocean views, modern rooms, and a relaxing, upscale atmosphere that makes it perfect for a getaway. What truly made the stay exceptional, however, was the level of service throughout the property. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A standout experience was dining at the Sea Salt restaurant. The team there—Michelle, Roberto, William, and Chef Gerardo—provided outstanding service from start to finish. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and coordination as a team made the evening feel special and effortless. Chef Gerardo’s dishes were not only beautifully presented but also full of flavor, showcasing real culinary expertise. It’s rare to find a place where both the accommodations and the service align so perfectly. Secrets The Vine Cancun delivers on both, and the Sea Salt team is a true reflection of the hotel’s commitment to excellence. Highly recommended, and I look forward to returning soon

Third visit to this wonderful hotel. Excellent restaurants and staff. Team Olid were superb especially Rosa and William. Bar tender Roberto extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait for our 4th visit to come around.

This is a wonderful, clean resort. In my opnion, the Preferred Club Level was great. A bit pricey, but well worth it. The location of my room on the 21st floor was excellent. From the balcony I could see the lagoon and the beach. The room was spacious and clean. It was a bit noisy due to the loud music playing at the next resort (The Sandos). Usually the music ended by the evening time or early nighttime. The service from the Concierge was excellent. The food at the Market Cafe at lunchtime had vegetarian options but I wished it had more Mexican vegetarian options. Breakfast at the Olio was excellent. The Preferred Club pool was great but it did close early at 6:00pm. I wish this resort offerred non motorized water activities like kayaking. We did take public bus transportation in The Hotel Zone. It was safe and the bus drivers did speak a little English. Overall you will not regret staying at this resort.
