Secrets The Vine Cancun

We travel the world - monthly, from simple Airbnbs to 5 star luxury resorts. We’ve stayed at several resorts in this Cancun area. Secrets was NOT what we expected for the cost. DO NOT GET preferred club! Your special “Check in area” is aesthetically underwhelming, spoiled cheese, crowded & long wait to check in + the entire time is about them trying to sell you upgrades. Very annoying. ROOM & view 5/5 - stunning, best part of stay. Pool loungers are ALL claimed by 8:30am although no one’s sitting in them. Could never find a spot at the preferred pool. Waste of money. Entertainment was 2/5 stars. Very underwhelming & the main Friday night show you can only see if you buy a $100 bottle of wine. Otherwise, you have to watch their backs. Really not fair to all the other guests.

Very nice place, especially if you get a high floor room. Butler, concierge, and some staff were great. I found that bartenders and hostess were rude. And the need to try and “force” you to buy bottles, and or food was sometimes very pushy and intimidating. One person in particular, his name was Luis.

Nice hotel, but definitely not a wine destination. The restaurants have a Wine List, which states 'Discover pleasure in every sip...". You can have a nicer wine with your meal, only if you're willing to pay a thousand percent markup on a bottle of wine. If I can purchase a bottle from a winery for $40, I am definitely not going to pay $380 for the same bottle. The best part of this resort is the staff; everyone is very friendly. The Bluewater Grill, Dragons, and Sea Salt Grill are the restaurants to go to. The hotel offers coupons and vouchers; these provide no value. Avoid the sales pitch!

We just returned from an absolutely incredible trip to Secrets The Vine in Cancún — celebrating my birthday AND our wedding anniversary in the most magical way possible! Saying we had a "great time" doesn't even begin to cover it! The property is stunning: sleek, modern luxury with breathtaking ocean and lagoon views from every angle. Our room felt like pure heaven — spacious, elegant, and impossibly relaxing. We indulged in an amazing bubbles tasting (the wine focus here is next-level!), savored some of the most delicious food we've ever had at an all-inclusive, and danced the night away every single evening. The entertainment staff was top-tier — Jose perfected our salsa moves, Aisha was super sweet and even gave us presents, and Diego kept the energy high. The evening shows were all 1st class and all the bands were amazing: Tropical Night was a blast, Rock and Glam was epic, plus Cherry Love, Icons, 90’s Summer, Beats of Queen, and the incredible Celine Dion Track Two in the lobby bar — pure fun from start to finish! As a total foodie who lives for dancing, this place was tailor-made for us. We would've taken way more pics, but honestly, we were having too much fun just living in the moment — soaking it all up without the phone getting in the way! We're back home safely now, glowing with a perfect sunkissed tan and a heart full of new, unforgettable memories to cherish for years to come. Hideaway Coffee Bar team — always a bright start to the day Everyone treated us like family and went above and beyond every single day. Secrets The Vine delivered pure magic from start to finish. If you're planning a milestone trip — birthday, anniversary, or just romance — this is the place!

Secrets The Vine had outstanding service. There was always someone to assist you and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food however, was subpar. After dinner and drinks the first night at the steakhouse it was clear service is where they spend their money. Room Service was prompt and friendly, but again the food was not very good at all. The drinks were not good. I settled on just vodka and cranberry juice. My travel mates expressed the same thoughts. Two of my travel mates didn't have hot water for two of the days. Considering the very high rate we paid, I would not recommend this resort due to the awful food and drinks. And of course knowing my friends didn't have hot water for two days.
