My husband and I had high hopes for this hotel, as we were celebrating our anniversary, Sans kids. This adult only facility is beautiful inside and out, but I would put it as a four-star not a 5. The food was not very good and the service was not as great as we had been told prior. It is all inclusive, however everything else around the hotel is super expensive and you are nickel and dimed to death. It was clean inside and the beds were okay, but there was a musty smell throughout the hotel. The best part of our trip was seeing the sea turtles come in to lay their eggs at night. However, this hotel was the only hotel that would not turn off their front lights. This prevented the turtles from laying their eggs. Hopefully they have changed their tune, as all of the other hotels along the beach were in compliance. Also, if you want a quiet Hotel, this is not the hotel for you. People are up late and the music is loud. There are much cheaper hotels along the beach that would probably have been a better fit for us. Make sure you research all of the hotels along the strip before you decide.

Secrets the Vine is a stunning hotel - it is very very quiet and quiet a trip away from the strip. Good for a honeymoon or an older couple - it was a bit too quiet for us. We upgraded to preferred club for one week of our stay which meant we had an amazing room with stunning views however we didn't even use any of the other privileges. The rooftop pool was too quiet for us especially. The food at the hotel was average, we were pretty disappointed. We were there for 2 weeks all inclusive and only really liked the Italian restaurant so we ate out a lot. The cocktails at each bar were lovely. The Thai restaurant was nice, the steak restaurant was very poor (awful quality of steak) and the mexican was terrible. It would have been nice to have a buffet restaurant at dinner and not just at breakfast. Also because of the a la cart dining my boyfriend had to wear long trousers every night which he wasn't too happy about in the heat! The staff were all lovely and very helpful. There was a slight mishap however in that we weren't moved rooms when we were supposed to (2nd week) therefore at check out we were asked to pay for 2 weeks preferred rather than 1 week which we had booked. Once i explained that noone had moved us the charge was wiped which we were thankful for. The night time entertainment was a bit old fashioned for us, but was busy with a lot of older guests. The hotel is stunning and really luxurious however if you are a very young couple then i'd book somewhere else as it might be a bit boring!

Wow what an experience. My husband and I spent 6 days at the beautiful Secrets the Vine to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. This is probably one of the best vacations that we have had. We did the preferred guest option and it is worth every penny. The hotel and rooms are modern and absolutely beautiful. We stayed on the 27th floor and the views are amazing. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy at the resort and then of course there are tons of things to do outside the resort. The staff is awesome. They are friendly, helpful and most of all they make sure that the guests are happy. I would like to personally give a special thank you to our Butler Miriam, such a lovely person. She helped make the experience even better then we expected. I highly recommend that if traveling to Cancun to stay at Secrets the Vine. We will definitely be back.

Last year I celebrated my 30th birthday at the Vine and it was so amazing that I will be back to celebrate turning 31st in September from 9/16-9/22!! We upgraded to privileged and it was absolutely worth it! The view from the room was breathtaking, the food was delicious, the staff were so kind and attentive and the drinks were flowing. The servers around the pool work so hard, be sure to thank them and tip them (its not required but they are so deserving). Exceptional service and a beautiful clean resort, I have no complaints!

My wife had booked a trip to secrets the vine. So far it's our fourth night here, we have enjoyed the pools, the restaurants, the bars, and most importantly the people that work here. Always there to greet us with a smile. We are happy about some things and not so happy about others. We really enjoyed the attentiveness of the people, super nice , even tho it's an all inclusive make sure to tip them, take plenty of cash. Our first night we ate at the grill restaurant on the 12th floor. The wait was long and the steak was very hard to eat, so bad first experience, the people next to us said the same thing. Second night: best dinner ever, during the day we were greeted by a charismatic waiter that told us about a paid dinner for two at the seaside grill restaurant. My wife said yes and we had the most enjoyable night beach front to the sound of the ocean hosted by a man who loves his job and is magnificent at it, his name is Marcos. Ask for Marcos down near the seaside grill. We had amazing lobster and enjoyed a chilled bottle of wine as seaturtles came to shore to lay their eggs below where we were eating. His professionalism and his willingness to work so hard to make our stay worth while was amazing. A++++ , the hotel should recognize him as an excellent employee. Second best hot spot, the Italian restaurant on the 12th floor, order the pizza it's amazing. Waiter also very nice, Sylvester. Very nice person and so are the girls at the front. Most amazing spot we tried recently was the Mediterranean grill called Oilo. We were waiting for a table and was greeted by the most charming waiter called Boris. He heard we wanted a special table and since it's our anniversary, he ran around setting it up so that we are happy. Boris told us this was going to be a memorable night and he was right. We asked for recommendations and Boris had mentioned a few of his personal favorites. As he paired it with the wine of our choice, we started to enjoy the view and asked for photos. As the food came out, the falafel was amazing , the shawarma was the most delectable meal and every bite was an experience. My wife and I loved the meal so much we were surprised and asked who the chef was. She was a very nice and excellent at her job, hands down one of the best restaurants in secrets the vine because of the chef her name was Mary. She came out and we took photos with her because Boris surprised us with an anniversary dessert. It was amazing as the chef explained what they were. We thanked them and especially the most charming waiter secrets the vine has to offer is BORIS. I recommend starting your trip with Boris because he loves his job and the hotel he represents and we appreciate excellent service and food. We will come back next year and send our friends to Boris, so that they start their trip right along with the chef. Things to work on: Room service: Needs Lot of work Entertainment: we wish there was more areas not just one place , so it's limited Breakfast buffet: bring eggs Benedict to the menu please
