The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and so is the water beach. A good class of guests ranging from what looked like early thirties and older, mostly couples. At times it felt too crowded by the pool so we hung out at the beach most of the time. The room was clean, modern chic and I loved how the restroom and shower were separate with stained glass doors. The balcony was extremely spacious, however there is this weird loud sound always coming through from the bay side. You learn to ignore it, but it's always there. The overall service was off and on at the hotel. At times it was great and other times it felt like you couldn't get help anywhere. The employees were all extremely friendly. The service at the beach absolutely sucked. You can be there for over 5 hours without anyone approaching you. The beach lounge chairs are just regular old nothing special. Fair warning, I am super picky about food. It doesn't matter what it is, it just has to be super delicious. For the first 3 days had lunch at the Sea Salt which has an amazing array of seafood and the like. I couldn't get enough of the ceviches and the spinach salad. One of the days went up to Market Cafe for lunch and found it not so pleasing, literally left the food there and went down to Sea Salt back to my ceviches. I didn't care for Sea Salt for dinner, but the Italian was my absolute favorite! Everything from their bread, caprese salad, the shrimp entree, pasta, and to die for hazelnut chocolate dessert. A must have. Other hotels guests raved about the steak place so went to try and found it horrible - at least for what I ordered. The bread felt like it was heated up in a microwave and got hard 2 minutes after hitting the table, I ordered a medium rare steak and got an almost well done so took a bite and left it, mashed potatoes were good, the cheesecake - not so much. Market Cafe for breakfast is also a must! Great variety. A couple of things to note The Expedia credits don't actually mean you can use all of it. It's a way for you to either get a discount or end up paying for more- for example we had $400 in resort credit and wanted to go to the spa - well we can only use $40 of the credit towards the treatment and the cheapest you can get starts at 189. There is not a single thing you can get entirely for the credit. Ocean view room doesn't mean ocean front! You may end up one where you see a sliver of the ocean. Easy 15/20 minute walk to shopping if you're into that. A 15 minute car ride to the party zone. Was the company and place great? Yes! Will I stay here again? Maybe...but probably not - will need some convincing. :)

I have mixed feelings about this property, the rooms are great went for the club floor junior suite. Nice rooms and spotlessly clean. Never once saw my butler. Club floor pool very nice and solid service. My biggest issues are the inconsistencies in the staff some great others less than useless. Was approached by the crimeshare mob explained had zero interest, this is a huge earner for the hotel and how they can do this to people or why they are daft enough to fall for it is beyond me, is suppose it proves there's one born every minute. The food could and should be better, waiting times are obscene but having complained seemingly got me a table. Italian and Asian good ok as and when it arrives. The steak restaurant is sub par. Got round all of them in the 10 days. Breakfast is a joke they have zero capacity to communicate and long waiting a times when you have empty tables seem pointless. Beach was nice grounds all tidy and the Internet is ok. There are far better properties around where they don't seem to want to sell you into a lifetime of mediocre holidays

I stayed at Secrets The Vine Cancun during my birthday week with a friend based on a recommendation I received and it was amazing! The entertainment staff was awesome; Water Aerobics, Tequila Tasting, and poolside games being my favorite. They even remembered my birthday and brought out shots and desserts throughout the day ;) The food choices are also plentiful. Having had a bad experience at the last all inclusive resort I stayed at, having good food choices was a must. This property surpassed expectations; there is tons of different food options - Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, American, - and the poolside snacks were great; especially the Nachos! I have recommended Secrets The Vine to all my friends and hope to go back there some day.

I would say overall it's a nice adult get away. Just not a fantastic get away. In our opinion no one can stack up to service and experience at Live Aqua Cancun. Pros and Cons. Secrets does not have a swim up bar although the waiters and bar staff are great. Restaurants there were 5 choices. We ate the same one 3 nights. The Nebbeolio Ristorante Samuel was fantastic server always found us a seat. Blue water grill was always 45 minutes to a hour wait. I heard the steaks were good never got opportunity. The hotel credits seem to be a big joke compared to other resorts. No one like being told how to spend your resort credits. That's a big down side. On vacation all want to be pampered at the spa. Most of our credits were tossed in trash. Did get a massage it was nice. They kinda give you freedom the hour before massage. Live Aqua we would have been welcomed with cold towels and cold drinks. Secrets did have a unpleasant smell when you first entered the resort. I was not that impressed with 90 minute presentation for the premium club. The rooms were not much nicer that our current room. The special swim area looked sad. I would prefer to down stairs with others having fun instead of being in isolation. I found it humorous that we could not have grey goose it was considered for premium members. The breakfast was good. Entertainment was not that good one light show. We did explore next door and toured Sandos that was much worse. Very dated and no activity. For my future trips I will look to go back to live Aqua. Secrets was a close 3rd. I would image le Blanc would be 2nd to live Aqua for adult all inclusive spots. But we do still love Cancun

This being our 1st trip to an all inclusive resort we were thoroughly impressed. Everyone treats you extremely pleasant. I have never been anywhere where people will go out of their way to make you happy. Our Butler on our floor Esparza was great. he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend!!!!!
