Just returned from VDP Cancún. We had a two bedroom and three bathroom facility with full kitchen and laundry services. There is no oven. They failed to pick us up at the airport and there was no communication about this lack of services from the VDP group. A little disappointing and left us scrambling to get to the resort. The room and view and service were amazing. The dinner reservation service is incredibly disappointing and the system isn't accommodating for a family of four unless you prebook weeks or months on advance. Booking three weeks ahead isn't sufficient. Ruben at the pool was amazing, very kind and went above and beyond. This was our third time at the resort but first time as a family of 4. We will be back but they need to do a bit better.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an excellent experience working with Carlos Vasquez. He was incredibly helpful in arranging our transportation and went above and beyond to resolve an issue we encountered quickly and professionally. His communication was clear, efficient, and reassuring throughout the entire process. What truly stood out was his positive attitude—he not only solved our problem but also made us smile at the end. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and personable. Highly recommend Carlos for his outstanding service!

We had a great three night stay at the Villa Del Palmar Cancun. We felt welcomed throughout. The staff are friendly and helpful. The property is very verdant. Almost all of the rooms (those above the third floor, or so, and many below) have great ocean views; many include a view of Isla Mujeres. All have pool views. Most of the property is occupied by the pools and pool-side seating. People do occupy seats early in the day, a mild annoyance, but this behavior emphasizes the point that when the hotel is full, there isn't quite enough chairs. The beach also offers seating and, in our experience at least, was a bit more available. The ocean water is largely calm and a bit warmer than the pools (both are very comfortable). Service is available throughout the day and the pool/beach food menu is pretty extensive. We were on a relatively short trip, so we had the all inclusive throughout our stay. It was certainly convenient (and offered dining options at several of the restaurants at the neighboring Garza Blanca resort); in the end, I suspect that the cost would have been similar if we had just paid out of pocket for our food and drinks. We did take advantage of room service for a couple of our meals which was a real treat considering the view from our balcony. The hotel makes the point that you need to make dinner reservations. We weren't sure that this was really necessary, but it was. The restaurants tended to be full when we would eat at 7:30 or 8 in the evening. Our room was very modern and offered all the conveniences that we were looking for. One of the appliances didn't work. We reported this and someone was there to make the repair within 10 minutes. It ended up taking a couple of visits, but the repair person was persistent and ultimately solved the problem. We were very pleased with our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

We had Chef Carlos (charlie) come to our room with staff Maria Zamudio and Victor Loria. What an amazing experience. They were all so wonderful.

The property was beautiful and the staff - incredible! Unfortunately, it seems as if management is so concerned with their profit margins that they have ignored the quality of their food and alcohol. Breakfast is mediocre, if you enjoy eating in a busy school cafeteria. I tried room service a few mornings and that seems to be the best alternative. The lunches are fine and easy to get something at the beach or around the pools. Dinner is flat out pathetic. The restaurants lack ambience, are challenging to get a reservation at and the food quality is, at best, mediocre. If you like beer - no problem. If you like mixed drinks - the drinks are either so weak that you can’t taste the alcohol or the alcohol is so bad you don’t want to taste the alcohol. Finally, I signed up for our room as part of a Black Friday deal. What attracted me to the deal was the offer of $150.00 a day in credits and other various incentives/coupons. Talk about a bait and switch. I’ve attached the document I received at checkin. Their offer was useless. I went to the front desk 3 times to try to work with them to create some sort of value for my purchase and they refused to work with me. Overall, don’t waste your time and money on this place as management will figure out a way to take advantage of you.
