We stayed for 3 days and it was more than enough. The only good point of this trip was the room. The checking in process was only ok and we were told our rooms will be ready in 2 hours. I had to ask several times after my room got ready to get access to it. Finally after 1 hour and a lot less patience, I got into my room. The beach is really poor and the pool is not heated and too cold to enjoy. Get up early if you want more than 1 chair. Service was the worse I seen for a really long time. They don't listen to you and there is no smile for most of the staff. The food was not good for most of the dish and served sometimes after 1 hour wait. there is no communication between the staff and they can make you feel guilty for there mistakes. I would never go back to this place and it was way too expensive for wath they offered. Think twice before you choose this hotel.

This was our second visit to Zoetry and it was just as lovely as we remembered. If you are looking for peace and quiet, privacy, great food, and great service, this is a great choice for you. Eduardo at the Hippo Bar by the pool is the best! The ONLY thing we could complain about (and a minor complaint) is that the water in the plunge pool on our patio was too cold for us to use it.

We have stayed at the Isla Mujeres Zoetry and thought we would try this one! We found the greeting & checkin process to be cold & unfriendly. At the time of checking in, we told them that we needed to check out one day early, due to a very close friend’s funeral. At that time, we were told that “management” would work on trying to get a little of the one night fee returned to us. We were very understanding and told them we would appreciate whatever they could do. In the meantime, our travel agent contacted them as well. The entire stay was so different from our other Zoetry experiences. We found the restaurants and bars unfriendly & cold, the food mediocre compared to Isla Mujeres especially. Just such a let down from our other experiences. On the morning of our departure, we were treated curtly to say the least and were told they had “no idea” that we were checking out early! Since our return home we have tried to contact management, as has our travel agent. No one has returned a comment on our 4 emails. This just confirms that no one cares and we will not be back. We had stayed at this property before it was a Zoetry. They have definitely not bought into the Zoetry caring way & customer service! Skip this one and ride the boat over to Isla Mujeres!

Currently at the hotel, day 4 out of 7 and everything has been perfect. Everything on the menu is fresh and healthy. The staff all are so happy and everyone greets you with a smile. The booze is all top notch and unlike other all inclusive hotels we have stayed, you feel like it's a hassle to ask for something a little extra or unusual... The pros: Secluded, beautiful and amazing wildlife everywhere. Private pool on your porch and stunning spacious and clean rooms. Very few mosquitos. Top notch service and very relaxing. Free water taxi to nearby Isla Muerjes and Puerto Morales. Free laundry service 24hrs!!! Cons: travel to nearby nightlife like playa del carmen and cancun is $100 round trip. Tips: Use the front desk to get and exchange money. The rate is better than in town. If you need mosquito spray (which you will at night), just ask the front desk, it's free!! The fine dining has a dress code so bring at least a pair of slacks and some nice shoes. The whole hotel shuts down at 11 so if your a night owl, plan on going to town for fun. Bring a deck of cards to play with your loved one. You'll thank me.

I was looking forward to our trip to Zoetry since we have been to Secrets and Dreams resorts and knew and loved the brand...And Zoetry was billed as their top product...let’s start with the good news....the food...all their 3 restaurants are good but chef Rafael Borbolla at the Canoa is AMAZING...and I am a spoiled New Yorker...the service almost matches the good food and William our waiter tonight was very serious guy, but he provided very professional service....the rooms are large but dated and the high bed on a cement platform is unsafe in my opinion... The bad news is their operational problems . The first time we tried to eat at the Canoa we were asked to wait 30min...we waited patiently, and we returned we were asked to wait another 20 min...when I looked inside there were plenty of empty tables, but I was told the waiters are overworked and unable to accommodate more diners...when I resisted further wait, a table and a pleasant waiter materialized...the same happened tonight again...first we were told we are getting a table, and then we were asked to wait 20 min...when we resisted again, a nice table , with great service is there a pattern to push people away from their premier restaurant, or is it just poor operational management?? Maybe the restaurant should start taking reservations to better control their flow of customers... By the way the same wait issue happens at Kaax restaurant for breakfast and that is the only restaurant at the resort that provides breakfast... In summary if you like waiting ...go to Zoetry...if you don’t...go elsewhere...
