We have been a loyal Ritz Carlton family for over a decade, visiting their resorts for at least one vacation a year, and I must say absolutely everything at Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita was excellent. - The food: Incredible, all a la carte, Chef Rafael is a gem and his food world class, every meal we had was impecable. In room dining is amazing as well. - The service: Everyone is happy to be there and proud of their jobs, they truly want to serve you and it shows. Really everyone we interacted with added positively to the experience. - The location/beach/rooms: a short 15-20min from the airport, every room is an ocean front suite uniquely furnished, the beach is private and well maintained (although there was more algae than we expected, they cleaned it consistently). They place was also secure and secluded so we always felt safe and protected. - The unexpected delights: your stay includes among other things an amazing experience on their catamaran with buttlers, champagne and the best sunset in the Caribbean. - The spa: get a massage, it was unforgettable and enjoy thallaso salt water pool and view from the spa, just get ready to pay as well (its not cheap, but worth every penny). Overall this is our new favorite and we will be going back as much as we can, sorry Ritz, we are now Zoetry people.

Zoetry was one of the best vacations I had in a long time. Beautiful grounds and the staff was warm and very accommodating. I wish the ocean was clear, most times the water was murky, we has two days of crystal clear water. That is the only negative I can think of. the food was very good, the service was top notch. Iam planning next trip at the Zoetry Isla Mujeres. Cant wait

We stayed here for 8 days for my 40th birthday and it was such a wonderful relaxing time. The resort was at approximately 40-50% capacity. We stayed on a ground level 1 bedroom suite with plunge pool. This was quite literally the most relaxing place I have ever been to (which is exactly what was needed). From the moment we were picked up at the airport we were pampered. The spa services we had were wonderful. The spa pool which is a saltwater pool was delightful! The people are what makes this resort so great. Some standouts for us included Jesus in La Canoa, Miguel our pool waiter, and Manny the bartender. They were always so eager to get us whatever we wanted and truly went above and beyond. We would come back if only to see them again. We did not have a bad meal here. Everything was delicious- we did not mind the fact that there are only a couple of restaurants, there are many choices for food. One of our favorites was the watermelon salad. Another not miss activity is the high tea at 5pm. We never had a hard time finding a choice spot by the pool. Not many smokers which was nice and most of them were courteous enough to smoke away from people- realizing this is a resort focusing on wellness and most people would not like to gag on cigarette smoke. I would definitely stay here again, we could not find a downside to this place for a much needed relaxing spa vacation!

We stayed at the Zoetry for 10 days in two rooms with plunge pools, and it really was fantastic. All of the staff were unbelievably friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. I really love how the restaurants all work together, so if you want something that they don't have, they will go to one of the other restaurants and bring ingredients across. On which note, the restaurants here were truly incredible. Other resort hotels we have stayed at in Mauritius and Cuba had a buffet dinner every night, and anything else you had to book in advance. But here, there were no buffets, everything was made fresh to order (even Breakfast!) and the quality was superb. Beautifully presented, well cooked and seasoned, every meal was a treat here. The drinks were also really good, especially the wines where they had three whites available by the glass, and all were of a very high standard. The rooms were beautiful, very well designed, with nice Bulgari amenities, a shower, bath and plunge pool. As other travellers have noted, all the rooms are set up slightly differently, and I would say my bathroom was better designed than my parents' room next door, where the bath was smaller, and the shower in a strange position. The beds were extremely comfortable, although very high which was no problem to us, but if you were of reduced mobility, I think you would really struggle. There was free wifi throughout the hotel. I really loved all the little extras that were included here. When they say 'All Inclusive' they really mean it, with laundry, 24 hour room service, transportation to and from the airport all included within the price. I also really liked the activities they did here. The tequila tasting, the wine tasting and the art tour were all really interesting and enjoyable. The beach, as others have noted, is nice, but not the best. The infamous Cancun seaweed was certainly present, but they did keep on top of it, although some days the smell was quite noxious and made sitting outside difficult. The wildlife was lovely here, with a nice mixture of iguanas, geckos, parrots and crabs, and the location of the hotel next to the swamp, gave it a Jurassic Park feel at times. The Thalasso pool was very nice indeed, and fantastic to swim in or just float. The main swimming pool is a bit strange, cut in half in the middle by a wall to make two smaller pools which seems unnecessarily odd. We had a couple of treatments at the spa, but wow they were expensive, and judging by the fact that they had plenty of availability on all days, seems to suggest that other guests felt the same. It is a shame, because the treatments were very good indeed, some of the best massages we've ever had, it's just such a shame they were so expensive! One thing though I found a tad odd, in the guide in the room, they boast that the hotel doesn't use straws because they are so bad for the environment, but yet in all the cocktails we got straws! It really didn't matter one way or the other, I just found it strange that the hotel would be so proud to announce this, only to then not do it! All in all, this was a fantastic stay. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, fantastic service, delicious food, scrumptious drinks, and wonderful amenities included.

I stayed at La Bonita for 7 nights and I quite enjoyed the experience. The things I liked most about the place were the staff and the food. The staff at this resort really put in an effort to be friendly and to take care of you. I really admire their dedication and hard work. I had no expectations about the food going in so I was really surprised by how good it all was. I happily ate every dish they put in front of me. The suite was luxurious, clean, and had a beautiful ocean side view. The bed was super comfortable. Wish I had the same setup in my apartment. Other things I liked: the main pool, the salt water pool, the wildlife (especially the blackbirds), and the activities. Such a unique and fun experience.
