This was our first trip to this resort. It will definitely not be our last. From the airport pick up until the time we left was the best vacation\ birthday trip ever. The food here was so very fresh and tastes extraordinary. We sampled different things from the menus and everything was incredible. The room was by far superior to any we have ever stayed in. We travel all through the Caribbean and this is now our favorite place. The whole resort is first class. The very best thing about this place is the staff. Everyone was so friendly and truly helpful but our two favorite staffers were Leticia ( Kaax) and Victor( at the pool). These two always went far and above. This staff was truly such a great asset to this resort that you won't find any better. These people should be very proud of their facility because it is truly paradise that we found here. We would like to thank everyone there for the best vacation\ birthday trip ever. We can't wait to visit again very soon.

We stayed here in the beginning of October for my birthday and it was simply the best. The staff are beyond amazing and always remember your name. We were greeted at the airport with cold towels and sparkling wine, them greeted with drinks again once we got to the hotel. Our room was the romance ocean view suite with the plunge pool and I could not get enough of the sunset and sunrise everyday. The one thing I would say is to not rely on the ‘no check in no check out time’ because that’s completely wrong, but they allow you to still stay, eat and drink on the resort after check out so not a problem. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

As we enjoy small, limited activity & quiet hotels, this was our 2nd time (2011) at Zoetry and we really enjoyed our stay this time as well. Hiccups so minor but any resort will have a couple! Would we return for a 3rd visit, counting down and saving the funds! Initial notes: Bring a pen on the plane to fill out the Mexican custom forms, remember to fill out the top and bottom of the customs forms. Most important DO NOT stop (they will ask you to see your voucher and try to sell you a timeshare etc) after leaving customs until you get outside to be greeted by the Zoetry team. Had to wait about 15 min for the Zoetry team members to be located – be patient – and just watch for them, luggage was whisked away and we were brought to the Zoetry car. Sorry don’t remember names but cool cloth, water and more important WI-FI was offered to us in the car. Drive time to hotel wasn’t too bad – room wasn’t ready upon arrival so Driver kinda stalled – didn’t know why at the time until we arrived. Relaxed and waited for room, offered lunch but not hungry, maybe 30 minutes and was carted to our Romance Ocean Front Suite – San Juan – 3rd floor requested and provided. Room was very large – nice patio to relax. Great shower. No turn down the first night – mentioned to the front desk the next day and every evening turndown service going forward. Room was always cleaned and tidied up during the day. In room mini fridge service by David was so, so. Breakfast through-out our stay was fantastic –various versions of Fresh Bread were served each morning. Service was great Caesar(SP) and his team were great for both breakfast and lunch. Baldemar, Antonio & Aaron to name a few providing extra great service. We ate lunch at Kaax or the EL CHIRINGUITO beachside grill, all were excellent – Seafood mix – wanted to use a pound of bread to soak up the juice, staff at the beachside grill – didn’t catch names but also worth noting. Had dinner even their one evening. Pool service by Victor Andrade could have not been better, very friendly – great service, made our stay extra special. Drinks were brought promptly - Mango Tangos yummy – cold water in an ice bucket waiting for us, chairs all set. After their shift change Manny at the Pool bar and others also took great care of us. Dinners at Kaax we felt were MUCH Better than their 4 star and dress up - La Canoa. Pork Shank – “Boss Style at Kaax a meal in itself. Erinque at Kaax the few times we enjoyed dinner was extra friendly and provided fantastic service. He made great suggestions and took me right out of my normal comfort zone of food. Oaxaca cheese and tequila cream soup, normally NOT a cream and cheese person was so good, we shared a bowl on our next dinner visit. I would have eaten there dinner time every day! After dinner each evening, we retreated to “the Library” bar where we met Jesus who turned me on to their “Paloma” drink. He was the only bar tender to make it extra special and enjoyable. Gotta have a “BULL” as well! Very friendly and a great place to chat with people you meet at the hotel. Day trip to the Isla Mujeres on the Wahoo Express & evening day sail both highly recommended. Separate review on TripAdvisor. Spa – Spouse is not a massage type of person, so she had facials and a pedicure. Jesus did her facial and she really enjoyed it, not sure who provided the pedicure but it was just as relaxing and good. I am NOT a hotel spa person, so I went off property twice to the Los Colibries Mayan Jungle Spa. Short taxi ride, felt safe and had a wonderful 2.5 hours of bliss. Separate review posted to TripAdvisor. Had room service the last morning and food was brought promptly on time and was hot. Check out was easy and the ride to the airport was excellent. Notes: Yes, the peacocks did hang around our suite and yes there were bird droppings, did it hinder our vacation or the great time, no. It is part of the Zoetry experience. The Lizards and birds can be a PIA but remember you are in their territory. Kids – there was a family group with kids of all ages. There are other AMR properties that CATER (more suitable) to kids and this is NOT one of them. I understand that you pay the same for kids here and there are NO special camps or activities for them. I would NOT recommend you bring your kids here. Age group otherwise was very mixed. There were honeymooners that wanted a quiet place to enjoy each other. When you check into a restaurant they ask if you are celebrating a special occasion – on my birthday – I said yes, only thing they did was bring us the “WINE MENU” to purchase a bottle! Nothing special in room except a design on the bed. Overall the staff here doesn’t know the meaning of NO everything is a yes, have a request or need something the front desk team is there to assist. You are greeted by any staff member with a good morning, afternoon or evening. Want to relax and have a “NO WORRIES” experience stay at Zoetry. WiFi worked throughout the property. Special shout-outs to our “Zoetry” friends – Mark, Stephanie & their friends from Las Vegas – brother a great time in the pool. Eddie & Donna – Minnesota – we so enjoyed spending time with the both of you and hope our paths cross again. Eric & Wendy of Chicago near Madison, WI. We read the reviews and they were all correct, this is an amazing place. Quite difficult to find especially in the dark (take the road signposted Silversands) off the main road and it’s about another 2 miles further on). Everything is included in the all inclusive rate, booze food (in 3 evening restaurants), mini bar, laundry. The pool waiters were great, encouraging you to have some more drinks, bringing nibbles etc Our only downside was the snorkelling, it was $50 each and it was ok. They talk about it being the 2nd largest reef in the world but you certainly don’t see much of it and the fish variety wasn’t great however the water was crystal clear. The whole trip was about 2 hours long

This was our first stay at a Zoetry resort and I am certain it will not be our last. Less than 80 rooms and about 60% capacity, so it was a place where "everybody knows your name!" Our room was huge and since we were on the lower level we had a nice plunge pool as well. The outdoor showere (available in only 4 rooms) was amazing! There are 4 beautiful but sometimes annoying peacocks that live there and for some reason would not stay off my patio, but that was not a huge deal. Both of the restaurants served the best food we've had at any AM Resorts. We switched back and forth between them eating twice at each and once we had room service. The room service was prompt and the food was very good. One small problem we had was that we had 8 in our group and while that were able to sit us together at the more casual restaurant, "Kaax," they would not seat all 8 of us together at "La Canoa." This caused some minor controversy one night and it could have easily been avoided as there was more than enough room in the area where the seated 6 of us to just put in two more chairs and place settings. The beach is a narrow rim alone the length of the resort. This time it was not in good shape as the currents/winds were bringing in a lot of seaweed. And since there is no resort of the north side, the seaweed piled up many feet thick along the beach north of us and it was smelly. The water looked brown for 100 feet from the beach, then the beautiful green/blue could be seen. After tropical storm Nate went by, the currents changed and the water was clear. Bernice Q. at the front desk got us checked in very quickly, and she also helped me immensely in fixing a problem that I had with my bill at a different AM resort where we had stayed first before moving to Zoetry. Omar H was at the front gate to greet us and help us to our rooms. Every day we enjoyed his big smile and talking with him. He took good care of us. The pool is amazing and our waiter each day was Victor who was simply the best. He hustled his tail off every shift and took care of our group each day. We didn't even have to order and he would suddenly be there with exactly what we wanted. His "brother" Miguel was also very good. The spa facilties were excellent and our treatments were fantastic. The heated salt water pool was so nice and the hot tub inside was perfect. It is so calm and relaxing (no shows or entertainment crews) at Zoetry. I know we will be back soon!
