We have just returned from a lengthy stay here, Many lovely features, which include the friendly staff, pristine grounds with iguanas and peacocks, very nice suite with huge balcony overlooking palm trees and the sea, Good pool area with comfy beds and umbrellas(wind permitting).The star of the place was the fitness instructor Abigail, who gave daily pilates/yoga and dancing lessons,also spanish classes and translating in cookery classes, very charming and professional. The downsides include the unuseable beach, not the fault of the hotel, lovely white sand covered in thick seaweed. The tractors attempting ALL day without success to clear it. We did not go in the sea once. The worse thing for me was that the sheets and bedding were AWFUL, rough, embossed with a pattern which was very uncomfortable. The duvet was way too heavy and hot, the beds were extremely high off the ground and as we are in our middle seventies, we had fun getting on the beds at all. Our suite was on the third floor, no lift, this was fine for us as we are very fit but not everyone. The food was ok. not wonderful, but repetitive over a period and inconsistant, rare one day would be well done another. Breakfast staff, very nice and willing but sadly lacking in understanding of English so what was ordered was not always what appeared.. The reception staff were not very helpful at all, unlike the rest of the staff. We asked 5 times for room cleaning to be done before 4 pm (the norm) to no avail, the last 3 days it happened after we asked to speak to the manager, who never returned our call. Would we stay again? No, mainly because we would never fly into Cancun airport again. Along with many other guests we spoke to, we all had a terrible experience of immigration and customs, such a relief to see the hotel driver in his yellow trousers and bottle of fizzy awaiting us with a smile. We will never return to this areas of mexico due to airport and weed, but have stayed in other zoetry hotels and will do so again..

Quick three night four day trip first week of March. Nice shuttle pick up and trip to hotel. Very warm greeting and low key check in. Quick tour of property by staff member who led us to our room with room overview. Resturant were easy to get seating with no need for reservations. Service was spotty. Generally waiting for servers who were friendly but not very knowledgeable in many cases. Food was decent, really not great. For AI it was good but limited menu. Food was Definitely not five star, not even close. Pool servers were the best. Both friendly, efficient and helpful. Beach was not usable due to massive seaweed build up. Nothing could be done as the tides during this time of year simply inundated this part of Cancun. Overall, a nice place to chill with my wife for a few days. We could not have spent a week as the choices of food and limited activities would have left us bored stiff. If you simply want to hang by the pool, get massages, and eat decent but not great food, this is the place. Rooms were very nice, large, clean, and well kept.

My husband and I just stayed at the Zoetry Paraiso de La Bonita last week. We arrived on the 2nd of March and flew out on the 6th 2018. We immediately liked the size of the resort. The grounds are well kept. Our room was beautiful inside and out. The birds on property are amazing and they are well taken care of. We met so many amazing people at the resort. Everyone was very nice and the staff was accommodating. I will definately stay at Zoetry's properties. I'm researching into them now.

We spent a 12 day holiday at this hotel & overall were happy with our experience. On the positive side we were happy with the friendliness of staff, the overall food quality, the rooms are rustic but spacious, the gardens are beautiful & well kept , the high speed internet works very well. On the down side the staff at reception are in real need of hospitality training. When we arrived with had to wait over half an hour to be booked in, nobody welcomed us, no drink was offered. On several occasions we visited reception (to book rented car, golf etc), after waiting a long time we were greeting with indifference, the reception staff are a long way from the friendliness & greetings we received from all the other staff at the resort. Restaurant & bar service can be approximate at the best of times but we didn't mind this so much, sometimes it's not a bad thing to relax & wait. However, the biggest issue with this hotel is the beach which was covered in seaweed during all our stay. Now seaweed is a natural occurrence & we won't hold that against the management. However, the utterly pathetic attempt to clear the seaweed off the beach was a spectacle to behold. Every odd day a couple of poor workers would clear a few kilos of seaweed off the beach using forks & a wheel barrow, other times a tractor with some sort of contraption would drive up & down the beach trying to clear the seaweed with absolutely no effect bar being very annoying for the holiday makers. Overall I would recommend this hotel, but management really need to find a means of cleaning the beach on a daily basis.

We've stayed at several properties in the Cancun and Riviera Maya area, and Zoetry Paraiso de La Bonita is by far the best. The service is wonderful, the resort is pristine, and the food is incredible. It's pricey, but we've been back three times now and I can't recommend it enough! A special thanks to Damien and Louis, the waiter and chef at la Canoa--they made our stay!
