Beautiful property, friendly and hospitable staff. Though asked repeatedly about food allergies, I was still fed peanuts at one point. Caused throat swelling, and I nearly had to be hospitalized. I lost a full day of vacation in the Benadryl coma. Management was unable or unwilling to try to reimburse or work with me at all. Disappointing to see the lack of attention to a serious issue at a resort that claims this level of privilege.

This is my third trip to zoetry, my second this year. I came in may with my husband and returned this week with my mother for some rest before Christmas. Obviously I have a love for this resort as I keep returning, but I am a little disappointed this trip. Again these are first world problems but I feel like for the money that we spend they shouldn't occur. Check in was a nightmare. The first room they gave us smelled like a sewer. The second room had a broken air conditioner. The third room was fine, but we did not actually get into the room until 7 pm. We arrived at the resort at 1230. I didn't really have an issue with the musical rooms, but the fact that the front desk staff did not care. Not even a little bit, they treated the whole issue as an annoyance. I asked for the email for the manager and they refused to give it to me. 🙁 A few things about our room: our phone did not work on two separate occasions. Not a big deal, but when you are advertising free international calls.... see what I mean? Our safe was also broken. We had to use our own cell phones to order room service and they got the orders wrong. I called to make an appointment at the spa and they hung up on me three times. These are not huge issues but again, when you are paying this amount of money they start to add up. We never got an apology or a follow up regarding any of these issues. The beach and restaurant service is where this place continues to shine. Cesar in Kaax and Frederico on the beach made our visit. Overall, we love zoetry but the quality of service of the front desk staff needs to be addressed, as they are lacking in professionalism. We are leaving Saturday, but I think next time we will try a different zoetry.

Stayed at the Zoetry on the tail end on our Cancun trip. Great place for rest and relaxation. I forget the guys name who helped us on the beach (possibly Eduardo), but he was utterly amazing, softly spoken and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Arranging our beds, or taking a photo for us and advising us the best angles! The rooms were stunning here, and the best thing of all, the food at this place was sensational. Some of the best food I have ever had. Seriously top marks there!

I can’t say enough about this place. The staff is amazing! Property, beautiful. Peaceful. Great pool and beach. 3 menus for lunch!! The grill restaurant is very good, as was breakfast every am. Loved the parrots, coatis and peacocks everywhere. Great ocean view and sound of waves from our bed!!! Nice large bathroom and living room. Everyone went above and beyond. Will return!!!!

Even though I have been in the travel industry for many years and enjoy the amenities that a luxury resort can offer, the Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita far exceeded my expectations. The exceptional service starts from the moment we were met at the airport with a private transfer. Each suite is ocean view, unique, extremely spacious and beautiful. The terrace off each room is like an outdoor room with a comfortable double lounge and patio table. A great place to enjoy the outstanding room service. The staff was outstanding, from the beach service, to the bartenders, the restaurant staff. The restaurants each offered a great menu, the food was delicious and every special request was met with a smile. No reservations, no buffet lines - ahhh wonderful. Special recognition goes to the amazing concierge Monica - always a smile and a warm welcome whenever our paths crossed. Fabi provided the most "zen" experiences from yoga, aquafit, meditation and the sound ceremony. The Temazcal ceremony, included in your stay, was transformative, helping me to release tension from a hectic year. Sitting at Hippo's Pool Bar was a great spot to relax and make new friends. Everyone I spoke to is planning their next holiday at Paraiso de la Bonita - including me! I cannot wait to go back to my favourite retreat!
