BodyHoliday Saint Lucia

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. Short answer: Go!! You'll love it. Long Answer: If I ever needed a do-over-rated vacation it would be to BodyHoliday! Honestly, it started out rocky- my first night and a half I had some issues with my room, and it kind of threw my trip off from there. But eventually the hotel moved me to a better room with no issues. From then I had an amazing time! Until, I got sick and have to spend the day/night in the hospital. So then I lost two more days of my vacation. The days that I did get to enjoy at BobyHoliday were phenomenal! The food, the services the activities the staff Especially the staff, were all top-notch. Best staff ever experienced! I felt safe. When I got sick everyone took such great care of me. There was one gentleman, in particular who even came to the hospital with me from the staff and he stayed there for hours with me!!! And while I was there the next morning they even brought me breakfast And picked me up from the hospital. And when I got back to my room there was a welcome package with Waters and fruits. I have never experienced such Hospitality in my entire life. My dream is to go back someday and really get to experience BodyHoliday the way I intended to. I would like to send special thank you's to Keivil, Tadius, Tonyann, Yhasmine, Pauline, Kingsley, Steven,David, Torell and Karim. I love you all and I miss you all. Hopefully we will meet again someday. I hope you all are well thank you for everything and to the holistic Indian doctor that was on staff, he was amazing.

Such a unique experience (again). The transfer from the airport is not great but as soon as we arrived we received a wonderful, warm welcome back. The staff are amazing and make you feel so special. There is a very relaxed atmosphere throughout the whole hotel and you can do as much or as little as you want, without being judged. There are so many activities to choose from and to try out new ones. I added tai chi and kayaking to my list this year and loved them both. Activities are very enjoyable thanks to the body guards, who as well as instruct and encourage, make activities great fun. The hotel is exceptionally clean , however the bedrooms could benefit from an update. The restaurants serve high quality food and drinks. The daily treatment is something to look forward to. At first glance it seems quite an expensive holiday but when you experience it and all that is included I think it is good value. We never go to the same place twice but have just been there for our second holiday and plan to return.

This resort is truly different from any resort I have ever been to. Starting with our arrival at 8:00 pm, thé lady at the front desk had us sign some paperwork and told us we could come back and finish the remainder of check in in the morning so we could settle in and go for dinner quickly. We love that there was never any push to sell us anything at anytime which often coincides with the start of most vacations in other resorts. We loved the daily spa services and found them to be blissful. I loved the numerous and higher quality selection of athletic activities where you can pick just the right ones to suit what you like. The beach was lovely and the food selection was good with many dietary options available to suit every taste. Our favorite was the TOA restaurant for dinner. The staff were all so kind and amazing. I, personally, enjoyed everything about the resort. It is a great place to unplug while still being active if you wish.

We returned to The BodyHoliday after a fantastic stay nearly three years ago, and this visit was extremely disappointing. Senior management are letting the resort slide, and it shows everywhere. The Webroom still doesn’t work nearly 3 years later, (see my other review from my last visit!) yet guests are emailed repeatedly to use it and to make reservations. 3 years with the same excuses is unacceptable! Because of this, none of our restaurant reservations existed on arrival. When I suggested turning it off until fixed, reception said they “have to pay for the system” — not exactly guest-focused. Our room was tired, the shower was faulty, and around the resort the sun chair cushions were mouldy and the cocktail menus peeling — hardly 5-star. There aren’t enough Body Guards; they’re constantly rushing around. That being said they are trying their best. Deano was incredible and really cares. The variety of classes and quality is also still very good. But the classes that are charged as extra such as reformer Pilates are extortionate. Sherman at the water sports centre and the female dive instructor with short curly hair at the Dive School were both brilliant. Other service was inconsistent, with some restaurant staff rude or uninterested. The buffet fruit never changed — melon, melon, and more melon. It felt like the challenge was how many different ways they could serve kingfish throughout the week. The spa was good, but when I asked for slightly more pressure during my included massage I was told it would cost extra! Our final impression was just as poor as our first. The departure changing room showers were dirty, cold, and barely trickled water. It felt like ending our week at Faulty Towers. The BodyHoliday should focus on what it’s known for and stop being distracted by their new resort in Portugal. Right now, it is nowhere near 5-star as it’s too inconsistent and leaves guests feeling disappointed. We also spoke to numerous other repeat guests who felt the same — disappointed and frustrated at how the resort has declined. The price of staying at the Body Holiday has shot up but it feels like management are cost cutting everywhere. Major changes are urgently needed and I’m gutted to say I won’t be rushing back.

We have just returned from another incredible stay at the Bodyholiday resort in St Lucia. This was our sixth consecutive holiday to this fabulous resort and wellness retreat that just gets better and better. We both had rooms with an ocean view which I would highly recommend if you wish to experience views of Cariblue bay and across the Caribbean sea from your balcony throughout your stay. The resort has a magnificent spa and wellness centre that is an oasis of calm and relaxation where treatments given by wonderful staff make this place very special. The food choices on offer at the various restaurants at the resort are endless and of a high quality, the afternoon tea and sundowners are hard to resist and a relaxing way to simply chillout and unwind with friends while watching the sun go down. The entertainment in the evening at the resort is ok, the best nights can be had in the piano bar where Steve and Javid will make and serve you your very favourite drinks and cocktails. Planned day trips around the beautiful island of St Lucia are a must if you want to fully appreciate how gorgeous it really is. The Bodyholiday resort is a very special place for the incredible people who work there. A big shout out to Yhasmine the general manager and her magnificent team, who work tirelessly to make sure everyone's stay at the Bodyholiday is extra special. Genella your expert advice and support as always throughout pre-arrival concierge requires an extra thankyou. I also want to a mention Mindy, Pauline and Deano who continue to make the varied keep fit workouts and activities so much fun. Jessica, Keema and Orlando who take care of you on the beach each day with food snacks and endless cold drinks. Darwin who did a wonderful job as acting manager in the signature Tao restaurant working alongside Brent and Simon, who along with expert chefs went above and beyond in making each dining experience amazing. Ainsworth you are a true gentlemen and one of the finest sommeliers I've come across so knowledgeable and passionate about your work. All the massage therapists at the spa and wellness centre, too many to name who continue to set such a high standard everyday, Simone in the Cariblue restaurant and Joseph who told us whilst we were there that he had just celebrated 32 years working at the resort, you are all a credit to your profession. If you are thinking of visiting the Bodyholiday for the very first time as a single traveller, in a couple or with a group of friends you will not be disappointed there is a reason why so many guests come back to this resort year after year. Finally a special thankyou to everyone who works at the Bodyholiday resort both back office and front of house as together you make this a very unique and magical place to stay.
