I'm a bit behind since I stayed in April of 2016 but I really want people from the US to know what I had no idea of... 85 percent of the guests are from the UK. The is a large group of 20-30 guests that are "members" and stay for 3-4 months during the spring/summer. I only met one other person from the US the entire 7 days. The UK members would get to the yoga tree house studio and put all the mats out at least 45 minutes before class so the hotels guests would not have any room to take the yoga class. This happened to me 4 times during the visit. Only if I went to the studio almost an hour ahead of time and stayed with my mat was my place available. These UK members control the a/c, the set up of room, etc.... One member would stay and all the mats and room was taken for the whole class. Restaurants - food was below average. If you wanted a decent type of fish, like snapper or grouper, it was an additional $35 per person. The included fish was kingfish & wahoo (cheap fish). TAO had the worst salmon I've ever had - it was completely raw. Pretty steep nickel and dimes that seem to be all over the restaurants. Breakfast buffet was nice but lots of unhealthy items. The omelet station was nice. I was mostly disappointed that the fruit again was all cheap fruit (out of 7 mornings - no blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, etc...) Lunch - had chicken at the pavilion and it was so overcooked, I could not eat it. I'm not very picky about food so for me to complain is very unusual. Pool - staff was very nice and did an outstanding job keeping anything you wanted coming. THE BIGGEST COMPLAINT FOR ME was getting bottled water. OK - this is suppose to be a HEALTH resort. This is what really made me the most angry. You get one large bottle of water a day in your room. Upon arrival, I ask for 2 bottles a day (I'm paying $9k for 7 days for 2pp there) and I was told NO. I called the concierge & they said that you can have all the alcohol you want but we don't supply the bottled water. It's $2 a bottle and you can go to the boutique to buy it. They will delivery one empty filter for you to fill up out of the sink which takes forever. I don't drink alcohol so it was a pain in the butt to go to the boutique and pay $2 for water and tote it back and forth each day to the room. This is just plain WRONG. I rarely write reviews and I'm generally always satisfied with my resort stays while I travel. This was such a terrible experience with the level of management. It appears this lovely resort is highly maintained but poorly managed. The room, view, activities, spa were really nice. I am giving it 2 stars due to the quality of food and the issues with all the UK members, and the bottled water issue. I hope this at least helps someone with their decision and at least you won't be surprised with these issues.

From the genuinely friendly and helpful staff who made you feel like a guest in their home; to the excellent food; the included daily massages; the boutique feel of the place (never felt crowded on the beach or the restaurants); and the impressive staff/customer ratio, my wife and I cannot say enough about Bodyholiday. We have been to many Caribbean resorts over the years between us, there is little doubt that this property is the gem! If anyone came to this place and had a bad time, it's on them. You would have to try very hard to find something to complain about.

This is our 3rd visit and the only place we have every returned to. Oasis - amazing as always, would have like more information about extra treatments. Food - spot on. Classes great especially body stretch with Sean and Clavy. My husband could not take his eyes of Marlene boy is she gorgeous inside and out what a lovely lady. I personally would like to see more beginners classes on Fridays for ease into beach fit, more pilates yoga, body spin for beginners. Did feel however that since our very first visit some 8 years ago standards of dress in the restaurants' and piano bar have slipped. Used to be long trousers for guys, now shorts and ripped jeans are acceptable - Big shame.

First let me say that we are Americans and we loved BodyHoliday! I was a little concerned after reading the reviews that Americans might have had more negative things to say about the resort, but you will always find some negative comments about any place. We were only able to get away for a 4-day vacation to celebrate our 20th anniversary and we wished we could have stayed longer! We took advantage of some of the activities, but we also spent some quality time on the beach. As others have said, there is a wide range in guests (age, fitness level, etc.), so you can make the vacation exactly what you want without being concerned about what others are doing or not doing. We did some snorkeling, sailing and kayaking, participated in just a couple of fitness classes and took advantage of the included spa treatments every day. I would recommend staying for a full week to be able to fully appreciate all that the resort has to offer. There were many more activities that we would have liked to have tried, including off property excursions. We had been trying to decide between staying at the BodyHoliday or its sister property Rendezvous and there is a shuttle that will take you between the two to enjoy what the other resort has to offer (we just didn’t have the time during our short stay). FOOD We were thrilled with the high quality and freshness of the food and the many options at such a small property. In searching for an all-inclusive resort for our anniversary, the quality of the food was very important to us. We have stayed at other all-inclusives where they focus on quantity over quality. At BodyHoliday you get BOTH quantity and quality. Even the gluten-free peanut butter cookies and homemade granola bars at the Deli were a treat! ROOM We stayed in an oceanfront luxury room and were lucky enough to get a first-floor room just steps from the beach (room #151). Even though it was on the first floor, it was still several feet above ground level so we could enjoy the view from our room and our balcony even when other guests were walking by. The room was a nice size and was always nice and cool and the view from our bed was breathtaking. The bathroom is a little unusual in the layout, with just a partial door to the toilet area (which might be awkward for some), but there was plenty of light and a nice little vanity area for getting ready and the shower was large. Each day we had fresh water delivered to our room refrigerator and each night a pot of tea was waiting for us when we retired for the evening. You can also order some room service items for breakfast, which we did one day, but we found that we were more anxious to get out of the room and try items on the extensive breakfast buffet, which can be enjoyed in the restaurant or at little beachside tables. BEACH The beach is beautiful with plenty of space and chairs for all of the guests. All beaches in St. Lucia are public, but BodyHoliday is tucked away in a private little cove that is difficult for anyone else to get to, making it a very peaceful beach. There are ice buckets near all of the chairs and the staff will set you up with an umbrella, towels, ice water and/or cocktails as soon as you sit down. There are even water waiters who will bring a cocktail out to guests lounging on the anchored rafts, which are a lovely place to relax. SPA The spa is such a wonderful included daily amenity! We both occasionally get massages, but we have never indulged in 4 straight days of spa treatments before. It was helpful to go on-line and book our treatments before we arrived, simply to try to reserve some time slots and plan our day around them. Once you arrive at the resort, it is easy to change what treatments you receive. We chose to schedule our treatments for late morning so we could wake up, eat breakfast, participate in a morning activity and then enjoy a spa treatment at 11am or noon, followed by lunch and afternoon on the beach. We had planned to try different types of treatments, but our massages the first day were so great that we changed our plans and just tried different types of massages each day. The spa and fitness center is an outdoor facility, with treatment and fitness rooms set up all around the perimeter of the square and a quiet pool area and beverage station (with iced tea and water) in the center. With such beautiful surroundings, it makes perfect sense to have everything outdoors. It is quite a hike up to the wellness center, but the view and spa treatments make it all worthwhile! TIPS We were very glad we took the tour of the property on our first morning there, as it helped us learn the easiest way to get around the resort, plan where we would eat dinner and plan our activities and spa treatments. There are SO many activities to choose from and our guide helped us narrow down what we might want to focus on. We booked a private sunset sail to celebrate our anniversary and that was the only big miss in our trip. The captain was very entertaining and we had a lovely butler who brought us an enormous amount of food (including sushi, egg rolls, a cheese and fruit plate, finger sandwiches, etc.), but the boat itself was a small little dinghy that was quite tossed around out on the water. The boat seemed more suitable for a water taxi ride or brief tour of the cove, rather than a “sunset sail.” It was not romantic in the least, but still a fun little adventure that we can laugh and tell stories about for years to come. Don’t miss the “coconut guy” who carves up fresh coconuts and delivers them with a straw most days near the beach. He seemed to be there most days between 11am-2pm or until he ran out of coconuts. The Friday night sunset cruise is open to all guests and was a fun evening! There are several buses that take guests to the marina where the boat is located and the boat will not leave until everyone has arrived, so don’t worry if you don’t get on one of the first buses. The boat is very large and has plenty of seating – and most guests were mingling about throughout the cruise, so finding a seat was not an issue. There were snacks and drinks on-board, followed by a fun Caribbean beach BBQ with a steel drum band for entertainment once we returned to the resort. The snorkeling right off the beach is fantastic! We knew it must be good when we saw several boats from other resorts bring their guests to the area for snorkeling and diving. You can use snorkel equipment from the water sports shack (free of charge, of course) and then just wade into the water from the beach and see many colorful types of fish and coral! There are bugs (which is to be expected), but we simply brought our own bug spray and applied before we left our room for dinner each night. The resort also has bug spray available if you do not bring your own. Don’t miss the wine tasting room! For a nominal charge (I believe it was $11/person), we had a private wine tasting experience with a resort sommelier and were able to try some wonderful wines. We chose 2 different tastings so we could share and try more wines that way. And you then get a discount on a bottle of wine at dinner that night, which was the only time we decided to upgrade our wine. On the other nights, there were enough options among the house wines that were offered that we always found something we enjoyed.

Visited here for a family birthday and reunion. I'd been to Rodney Bay hotels previously and enjoyed. This is way better. The hotel is comfortable and peaceful. It never felt crowded. It always felt safe. Room- very comfortable , beautiful view on 3rd level . The hotel is all inclusive . This includes food, non alcoholic drinks and non motorised water sports as well as massages. I am not a fan but had to have one for shoulder and back pain and it was surprisingly effective. The wellness centre is on a hill- peaceful surroundings. The beach was wonderful -white sand, no currents, and wonderful fish visible on snorkeling. Food - excellent . Several restaurants - couldn't try all. Service - good. The staff will even pick coconuts for coconut water on request. Tours can be arranged on site. My one regret was not staying longer and exploring the full extent of the very many services available. I will definitely recommend and return.
