I debated giving 4/5 for this review, because there are good things about the hotel, however I just couldn't justify it given the cost of the resort, as my experience wasn't "very good". I will start with the good things: -Great beach, though small, with lots of watersports activities. Daily tubing was great! -The daily inclusive spa treatments were something to look forward to; I had some of the best massages of my life at this resort. However, I don't really feel like you can call it a spa, as you really just go to a cloister area surrounded by the therapy rooms and wait outside the door until the treatment. The actual place isn't particularly relaxing, and definitely not what comes to mind when you think of a spa. -Many activities to do, though some days they didn't happen without explanation. -The staff, as a whole, are very polite and friendly, and up for a chat. I think they are the main reason why a lot of people choose to come back. The bad -Breakfast: Sometimes I had to queue for 15-20 minutes for eggs, and often received poached eggs that were overcooked/ inedible. The yoghurt was awful. The general offering was good, but I feel queuing for so long, by which time my family had finished their breakfasts, became quite annoying. -Lunch: As a vegetarian, after 10 days it became tiring effectively only being able to eat salad and potatoes, or pizza. This place is definitely a meat-eater's paradise, and not the most catering to vegetarians. I also felt the deli had limited options for vegetarians, and what I tried was tasteless( the veggie wrap and roasted vegetable panini). The hummus wasn't nice and the smoothies were really not great. This place advertises itself as having food for everyone, and of good quality but I really didn't feel this way. None of the cocktails had fresh fruit and tasted very artificial. -Dinner: the vegetarian options were really very poor. My mum and I often had to go to the buffet and bring a plate of salad over whilst my brother and dad had their meat options in the formal restaurant. Dishes like pasta and tomato sauce is not fine dining, and really not fair to vegetarians when the meat eaters seemed to have a lot of very nice options. One of our meals was effectively a huge bowl of cauliflower and cheese...not great! However, the worst thing was that one night we asked for something off the menu to give the restaurant a chance to make something nice for us, as I'd heard they are very happy to cater for people. We received a plate of unseasoned boiled vegetables and wild rice. Not fine dining. Once again, I was forced to go to the buffet and bring over a plate of salad, long after my family had received their meal. It is a very bizarre thing in a supposed 5* restaurant to be forced to literally leave and get food from the other restaurant and bring it back . After telling the waiter we weren't happy, he just took it back without so much as an apology which was a shame. -Entertainment: definitely aimed at the older guests, with pretty poor music. Often just went to the library to watch tv because there's no tv in the room, and there are so many mosquitos at night that you really need to be indoors or you'll get attacked. -WIFI: it is so so awful. Patchy at best, and often not working in the room. I had to go to the bar area to use my laptop or to study, as it only works there. -The rooms: we had one of the more expensive rooms and i felt like it was really old fashioned and especially in the bathroom, they could utilise the space better. Also I stayed my mum and the fact the door didn't close properly (its like a swinging door without a lock?) caused some privacy issues. Sometimes there wasn't hot water also, only lukewarm. I know I wrote a lot of negatives, but I feel they are all fixable. If they can be addressed and fixed then I'm sure I could come back to the body hotel and have a wonderful stay as they are very lucky to have some great staff working for them. Sort the food out, update the rooms and train the restaurant staff better to deal with problems.

I had seriously high expectations for the body holiday but the hotel still managed to exceed them. The setting of the hotel is stunning and the staff are great. The food is delicious with a variety of options such a the deli for light snacks and smoothies or Tao for a smarter evening meal choice. The classes and treatments included are fantastic and cater for everyone. I genuinely couldn't recommend this place enough and will be back! The hotel also upgraded us to a fantastic sea view facing room which was amazing as we were celebrating our anniversary.

Have just returned from trip #12 in 8 years and TBH continues to remain incredible in many ways and even better in others. As always, facilities, food, activities and treatments were top-notch. On this trip, I stayed in one of the renovated Grand Luxury Ocean Front suites (476) and it was very impressive. Nicely furnished, with strong WiFi, powerful/consistent air conditioning, and of course a spectacular view. Cariblue and the deli remain fantastic, and had a beautiful dinner at TAO, where they appear to have updated/tweaked the menu. Did not dine at Windows this time, but it still looked great. Afternoon tea at the clubhouse was excellent. For what it’s worth, the "elegantly casual" dress code for the piano bar and dinner at Cariblue seems to no longer be in effect – several gents in shorts/t-shirts/flip flops. Some may care about this change, some may not. Weather was perfect for the Friday evening sunset cruise – not to be missed. The communal table continues to be an excellent way to meet people. If you’re travelling solo (or even if you’re not), go to the piano bar at around 715 PM and inform the Bodyguard that you would like to join the communal table. The rest will all fall into place from there. If you’re an early riser, the 700 AM walk is also a great way to meet people and a wonderful way to start another day in paradise. Will conclude with a special note on the staff. Many reviewers have mentioned it, but these people are truly over-the-top incredible. From the bellmen who greet you when you arrive, to all the servers/bartenders, activities staff, spa staff, housekeeping, maintenance, front desk etc., they simply can’t do enough for you and will bend over backwards to take care of you. A very special culture has been created at TBH. I noticed that i) the staff live for customer service whether or not their manager or senior mgmt./ownership is around and watching. ii) staff jump in without hesitation to help colleagues, whether or not the issue is in their department or job description. Congratulations and kudos to everyone at TBH for cracking the code on building a winning, team-based culture. This is incredibly difficult to accomplish, so very well done, to all of you. See you in September :)

Sitting on the tarmac on my way home, I was already researching flight options to return, so clearly this is a five star review! I loved my experience and completely understand why so many of the guests were repeat customers. You can read all about the exceptional service, activities etc in the other reviews (I could also gush all day long) but here are some tips that I wish I had known from the beginning of my stay: 1. Mosquito repellent. It's a MUST at dusk and dawn and literally my only complaint (and also outside of the resorts control). You won't see them coming but the next morning your legs with be covered in spots (if you do forgot your repellent, no worries, it's available on tables throughout the resort, I just could have used something stronger!) 2. Pre-book Windows restaurant before you arrive. The menu changes every night so figure out which evening excites you the most and book (e.g., Sunday was Caribbean, Tuesday was French). 3 On the iPad in the room you can schedule your housekeeping times so you never have to worry about returning to an unmade room. 4. Tao restaurant has rules! You may order 3 appetizers OR an appetizer and a main. Just thought you should know, it prevents disappointment later when you plan to basically sample the entire menu and are told "no." But go, it's lovely and staff were very high-touch. 5. Do not skip the Royal St Lucian Police Band. They were brilliant! And I'm not going to tell you more, you need to see it for yourself. 6. Gros Piton: sure Oprah loved it, but she never climbed it! Personally I though it was a great, not that hard of a workout; my husband vehemently disagrees (2 miles, 2600 feet straight up). Regardless, we climbed for the view which was honestly, "meh". Just thought you should be informed. 7. We used the hotel car service upon arrival. It was perfectly fine but on the way home we used Andy Alexander [email protected] Friendly, timely, cheaper AND with no extra stops at other hotels And finally, if you are completely exhausted from working out (or sunbathing) and are lying in the yellow inflatable donuts in the ocean, don't worry - cocktails are delivered EVERYWHERE!

My friend and I arrived at the resort anticipating a luxury reprieve from a stressful stretch at work. Unfortunately, nothing could have been further from the case - although advertised as a luxury resort, from the almost inedible warmed over buffet (all inclusive only matters if you care to include the food offerings in your stomach), to the walk to the room (reminiscent of a high rise condo development and not a tranquil beach oasis), to the rooms themselves - everything about this placed screamed subpar. The rooms were stuffy, dank, and felt more like motel 6 level than 5 star anything. Although the beachfront view and location we'd booked were as advertised everything else was very disappointing. There was mildew in the bathrooms, and in one of our rooms no air conditioning so a large free standing AC unit was situated in the unit - the size of an industrial vacuum cleaner - no doubt with the same sound effects. No screens in the windows so enjoying fresh sea air was not an option given the bug population. The bottom line is that the place was so bad and not as advertised if one is expecting an actual 5 star experience that we left before staying even one night, One might criticize that we didn't give the resort a chance - here's the thing, my vacation isn't for a resort to prove it can make up for its deficiencies with solicitious staff or free drinks. We went willing to pay for a 5 star luxury experience and relaxing vacation. We got that - but not at bodyholiday - we hightailed it to a true luxury resort at the other end of the island....run don't walk away from the bodyholiday....
