Superb first time visit

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 hours ago

We had a great first holiday in the Caribbean and StolenTime set a very high bar. We both believe we’re highly likely to be back. It’s interesting that the BA flight crews stay here as they always vet their hotels. We had a standard garden room near the entrance which was comfortable and didn’t suffer from any of the noise issues that others have mentioned. Caroline from the housekeeping team kept it very clean and well presented. There’s also a turn down service at night which is increasingly rare these days. Like others, we found the drive from the airport, which is 75 minutes, a little too exciting, a product of twisty, climbing roads, and the St Lucian habit of hanging on to the rear of car in front. The canny avoid this by flying in/out of Barbados, which is served by the next door airfield a few mins away and takes around 45 minutes. This also enables Virgin flights from Manchester. The service is consistently very good, wherever you are and all the more impressive since there were clearly some recent starters. The food is excellent regardless of the restaurant and extends to beach barbecues and afternoon teas. The hotel has a 2025 Decanter award for their wine list. House wines include Malbec, Cab Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin, rosé. Paid for wines range from $30 to $200. The sommelier in Malabar came up with a good sub for the Norton Malbec we’d chosen which was out of stock. My secret tip if you’re a malt whisky drinker is that the Glenfiddich is kept in the Champagne bar and the measures are generous. The Sports team were great. Edwin, an independent rather than team member, leads a great Tai Chi session, breaking it down so that novices and intermediates can enjoy it. Aqua fit was energetic and good natured with the opportunity to top up at the nearby swim-up bar afterwards. We enjoyed the group of regulars who all gave their names as ‘Alan’…. The gardens are very well maintained, with staff always working on them. The beach was clean and with a good Yellow/Red flag system. It’s the first place I’ve been where the sea is warmer than the pool. However, there are strong waves between the breakwater and whilst I was swimming a lady was knocked off her feet and lost her Raybans, for which we conduced a fruitless search. We ate once in Thyme which felt like a slight time warp, but again the food and service was excellent. We ate three times in the evening in Malabar right on the beach and enjoyed every time. We also enjoyed our meals in the Terrace, particularly the buffet ones; à la carte meals can feel quite brisk. There’s a wide range of entertainment in the evening. We were surprised by, but enjoyed, the Michael Jackson tribute act. We benefitted from the friendly and efficient poolside bar service every 15 minutes or so. Tarinitia was a very chatty and efficient ambassador for the second pool near the spa. The cocktails were addictive, with the double proof rum particularly ‘effective’; at 80 proof you can’t take it on a plane. We joined the Saturday morning walk to Castries and the market. We were pleased we did it, but it’s a busy main road alongside the local airport. We asked for late checkout (normal is 12) as it’s a 6pm departure for the 10pm BA flight. Would have been $105 but they were full. However, they have a departure lounge above the gym near the TV room with lockers, a couple of decent showers and a spindryer for swimming costumes. My wife had two massages, both were excellent and she would recommend. By resort standards they are reasonably priced. Only slight blip, contacted them several weeks before our arrival on a Friday as Sunday was our anniversary and wanted a nice meal and knew Thyme was closed. They promptly replied with the celebratory options (meal on the beach etc), which we decided we didn’t want to progress but forgot our reservation requests for our first two nights. However, the unreservable Terrace was fine for our first two nights.

FANTASTIC week at Stolen Time - a must for couples that just want to relax & be pampered or who prefer varied activities

Our first time to St. Lucia and to Stolen Time. Words cannot describe the experience. Right on a fantastic and safe beach, wonderful atmosphere throughout the resort, beautiful room with daily service right on the beach, very good value, clean, quiet and about everything one could want in amenities and activities or just the space to lounge around. What really stood out - the entire staff worked as a friendly, helpful and smiling team that makes this resort stand out from the many others we have visited.

Found this gem by accident!

We went to Stolen time as a last minute choice because our holiday to Jamaica was cancelled due to the hurricane. We could not be more pleased that we ended up at Stolen time. The hotel is fabulous, set right on the beach. There was never a struggle to get a sun bed and the staff were so attentive, bringing iced water, fresh coconuts and homemade ice lollies to us. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. We had a garden view room which was excellent and the highlight of my day was to feed the birds on the balcony. They are so tame. The afternoon tea served each afternoon would do justice to the Ritz. We took a trip with the scuba team to do some snorkelling and Danny really looked after us, making sure we saw everything that was on offer. Our evening highlight was the Champagne bar at 7pm, where we sampled a different champagne each night. The food is excellent and Al a carte in the evening. We used both the speciality restaurants and were not disappointed. We do not normally return to places but we are booked to return in 2026 in October. Cannot wait.

Couples getaway for new years

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Booked thru Costco so we had airport transfer through Solar included. Both ways we were in a newer 9 passenger van- they provided water and drive was better than expected (65 minutes) not as bad as Montego Bay to Negril in Jamaica, where we usually go.no lobby/front desk at this resort- concierge folks come up and meet you- very personalized. The staff at This place is beyond great from start to finish. Activities team, water sports team, concierge, housekeeping, security, food and beverage, bartenders, and groundskeeping- I literally can not say enough about how excellent each person is at their job. Pristinely kept grounds, rooms, and common areas. Beach, chairs, umbrellas and gazebos are all cared for multiple times a day. Towel service and chair availability are perfect. The security staff gets to know “their guests” and keeps an eye out for everyone while still being kind and helpful and amazing to all visitors on this public beach where there were many visitors during the holiday season- which was fine and lovely. Horses from stable a few feet outside the gates go by often ($ to ride) are beautiful and well loved/ cared for. The yoga, tai chi, exercise classes were so good and plentiful- instructors were very attentive and hands on with permission to correct which I appreciate. Scuba instructor was a patient saint, staff was top notch, and water sports staff and equipment in general were better than anywhere else I have been.Walk to lighthouse(5k round trip) was great and offered nice view and good workout. Beverages were so good, including non alcoholic mixed drinks and we noticed many people enjoying them and Heineken zero-Healthy options, local juices, etc were great. I loved going to champagne hour every night and sitting on the swing under the big tree enjoying a glass- the piano player is also great if you stay in the gorgeous champagne bar but I don’t like air conditioning so we did not stay in too long. Food at each of 3 restaurants was quite good and varied over our 8 night stay. I had the daily catch most days and one day it was good, every other day it was exceptional. The resort is small with 100 rooms but so charming- our beachfront veranda room was perfect- we hung out on the veranda in the double chair and large hammock a lot-literally steps from the beach and room key card worked on the veranda door and the front” door- convenient.. Amazing sunset views from veranda. During the day there is beach beverage service on this beach where we received water, juice, fruit skewers, popsicles, and drink service from the top notch staff(Shanaya and Anna) quiet/spa poolside later in the day and near lazy river also had attentive beverage service(Tandisha)Percy with security literally knew everything that was going on on the beach- amazing sweet security staff all around. We mostly worked with Denzil, Miquel, Karen (amazing activities folks!) and Lincoln and Romerus and everyone on the scuba boat and water sports- just so great careful and patient. The concierge had to handle a lot while we were there due to some air traffic shutdowns but they were unbelievable and calm and so professional and kind to everyone. Vanessa and Joelle took care of us so well. Oh and when it comes to massage- wow. Next level- I was blown away by the deep tissue therapy I received from Leona. We will 100% return to this resort. Because of the staff and the gorgeous pristine place. Love everything about it, and can’t wait to return to experience even more!( apologies for any staff names mis-spelled)
