Reviews for Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort

Laid back paradise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Windjammer landing is a very special place. We have just come back from a week here and whilst it is a little rough around the edges in places, overall it is a truly amazing place to stay. We stayed as a family of 4 in a Manor Collection 3 bed villa with a private pool up on the top of the hill. Overall the vibe is chilled and laid back. We never felt like the place was crowded. What we loved - Without exception the staff are simply incredible. Every single person, in every bar restaurant or simply on the beach was welcoming, friendly, and so good with the kids. Upon leaving they gifted our kids with a small teddy bear each - a lovely touch. - Our villa was big. 3 huge bedrooms each with en-suite and huge living room and separate kitchen and dining. NB the kitchen and dining room was in a separate adjacent building. This was villa 407. Others are not designed this way. We had a small pool at the back of the villa. Villa had huge 65 inch tv and comfortable beds. Kitchen was fully equipped including with nespresso. - The food in many of the restaurants is of top international quality. Specifically Upper Deck is a genuinely good steak restaurant, Dragonfly had great seafood (and breakfasts) and Embers was good for a chilled beach lunch. - The beach although small is perfect. Plenty of seating and a shallow enclosed bay for swimming. - Good system for loungers - they are reserved for the duration of your stay at the beach - Low key activities through the day. We enjoyed the beach games. - Friendly and organised kids club - plenty of fun activities for the kids including spa visits and horseback riding! - Great spa at reasonable prices for a resort. Kids spa options. - The all inclusive is very good value. Do not book without it as the a la carte prices are eye watering. - The cocktails are really spectacular, not watered down and with great variety and flavours. What needs improving - the resort has had a lot of refurbishment but there are still spots where more is needed. Fortunately maintenance are quick to fix minor issues. We reported 2 and both were fixed in the hour. - Jammers restaurant service is slow and the food so-so. - Masala Indian restaurant is a miss if you have had Indian food elsewhere. Not spicy and generally low quality. Good to know - try and get a villa where the pool looks out to the ocean. - The resort is hilly! Take the shuttle everywhere. They come very regularly. If you have mobility issues this is NOT the place for you. - There are bugs. Bring bug spray and DEET. We saw some folks with a lot of bites. - The transfer from the airport is long - 90 minutes - with some hairy roads. - You have to sign for everything. - The beach is public and there are non affiliated hawkers that do proposition you. This is the case in all beaches in St Lucia. - Put a shot of Rum in the Don Mango mocktail. Thank me later. - Bring reef shoes. 100% we will be returning again, this time for longer.

One of the best resorts so far. My only disappointment, my server was great ,so I left them a tip with the manager Shanella and it was a good tip 200USD to be exact and they never received it. Will be visiting again next year.Thank you windjammer!

Sparkle was my esthetician and she was absolutely wonderful! She explained everything she was going to do during my signature facial and body scrub. She also asked for my preferences and problem areas. She addressed every need and I came away looking and feeling relaxed and beautiful from head to toe. I so enjoyed Sparkle, that I recommend her to all of my family, who was also visiting with me. My husband and three of my cousins also ended up making spa appointments and each one returned singing Sparkle’s praises.
