After a long ride from the airport we arrived at the Windjammer resort, initial impressions were very nice! The reception & surrounding buildings looked very well maintained and gave of a Greek village vibe. Unfortunately it did not continue. We were staying in a one bedroom villa and again 1st impressions good, very clean, spacious & comfortable bed but there was no mini bar, just a fridge, no UK sockets which we researched was the plug type in St Lucia's, trying to get a plug adapter proved to be a mission, reception did lend us one (with a 25$ deposit!). No turn down service, just a knock on the door at 5pm with 2 cartons of water. Certainly not 5* The restaurants were generally very good, we were glad to be all inclusive as they did appear to be very expensive. Staff were very hit and miss, and the tipping of meals was expected although a service charge was included in the bill, in the UK if a service charge is included that is generally the tip? Breakfast was OK, could have done with a bit more choice & maybe a little warmer. Pool beds were mostly all reserved by 8am, there was plenty of room on the beach as an alternative, but if you prefer the pool as we do you had to be early. Our main gripe with the hotel was the expectation of tips from the staff for anything, even for ice-cream when the server didn't even move from their seat. It costs a lot of money to holiday at this hotel & when you are all inclusive you are judged that you are not tipping enough constantly. Staff have to deserve a tip for service in our eyes, manners, politeness & a smile is not to much to ask

Our second time here and it is so relaxing and such a beautiful location. Thanks to Lindon for our amazing villa, and the super activities at the water sports hut - Mario and the boat guys where brilliant and loved the sofa boat rides.

Absolutely beautiful resort! From start to finish, every detail was taken care of. All staff working at this resort were friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. We had the all inclusive package which, in my opinion, is definitely the way to go. Views were stunning, beach was well cared for, food was fantastic, and lots of included amenities. We even spoke to people from other resorts when on an excursion and our group felt like we definitely were staying at one of the best resorts on the island. It was truly and outstanding trip. Manager of this resort should be proud of the staff working here!

Visited Windjammer for our honeymoon and we would recommend Windjammer landing to friends. However, it’s important we note a few cons. We were blessed with an incredible upgrade (which did push up in rating quite a bit) Pros: - Our villa - no complaints, absolutely beautiful views, pool and general room. We loved it. - Beautiful tropical beach - Most of the staff were so friendly and welcoming - Food was generally great (however, there is a con) - Sun loungers were always plentiful and the beach kept clean - Good activities Cons: - Some staff were quite short and snappy (mostly those driving the shuttles. Some staff were quite rude if you didn’t wait for them to open the door for you). - We got woken up a few times by staff offering turndown service or on one occasion room service we didn’t order - There’s no way you could walk back to higher villas, but to be honest the shuttle service never left us waiting more than 5 minutes. - VERY expensive on site mini market - No, it’s not 5 stars. Some tables, towels etc were dirty. - People constantly disturbing you on the beach from the spa and excursions. - Sea looks clear but it’s quite murky The three cons that probably that let our honeymoon down most: We asked before arriving if we could have a late check out and were told it would be noted on the file but we’d need to ask on arrival, which we did. We were then told when we arrived we’d have to ask on the morning of the day we were due to check out but that even if the room we were in was needed, they would put us somewhere else. This wasn’t the case, on check out, there was nowhere for us to go, which they said was because they were booked up but they had rooms available (the cheapest ones) for that night, so there was space. We had an excursion cancelled at 5.30pm the day before 8.50 booking due to lack of numbers. Which we were disappointed in. We were offered an alternative but it was further away and a longer day which we didn’t want. The final and biggest issue was the horrendous food poisoning I got on the day we left. For the most part my husband and I ate similar food but on the day before, I ate something he didn’t and I was so incredibly unwell. I haven’t had a sick bug in 8 years and then suddenly I was so sick. This was made worse by the fact I was then left to find somewhere to try and relax whilst I waited 5 hours for pick up. It really tainted the end of the trip. Although I can’t guarantee where it came from, we never ate away from the hotel and we weren’t really round a lot of people during our stay. I’m also very on it with washing my hands. Overall our stay was good, however, I think if we hadn’t had a room upgrade (which we were grateful for as it was really kind of them), there’s a good chance the stars would be 1 or 2 lower.

We just got back from a six-night stay at Windjammer and ended up extending an extra day because we loved it so much. The beach is beautiful, the food was great, and the on-site water activities were a highlight. The staff truly made the trip everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially Tamisha and Nylvia. We stayed in a villa at the top of the resort with amazing views. It’s a bit farther from the beach, but the shuttle service made it easy to get around. Location was also very convenient. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to come back!
