Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort

One of the best stays our family have ever experienced. We went to St Lucia after visiting Antigua and Barbados as part of a 2 week exploration of the Caribbean and we reached peak holiday here. Nothing is over looked, everything is clean, service is top notch and friendly. My only grumble is walking up the hills when its warm and my husband making me feel bad when he sets off on the walk and I want to get a ride back to our room (with a plunge pool!)

Great staff, rooms, and facility. Great views and beach. Highly recommend.

Windjammer Landing Has Been Amazing So Far! 🇱🇨🌴 We’re only a couple of days into our family vacation at Windjammer Landing in beautiful St. Lucia, and I can already say this place has been absolutely amazing! From the time we arrived, the service has been impeccable. What has really stood out to us is the staff. Everyone we have encountered has been extremely friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. Not the forced "I work at a resort so I have to smile at you" friendly either. 😂 You really get the feeling that they want you to enjoy your time here. The resort itself is beautiful, the views are incredible, and we have been enjoying every minute of just relaxing, spending time together as a family and taking in everything St. Lucia has to offer. We also made a point of getting outside of the resort and spending some time in the local community. We picked up some souvenirs, talked with some of the local people and, of course, had to get some authentic St. Lucian cuisine. For me, that's part of traveling. I love a beautiful resort as much as anybody, but you have to get outside the gates and experience the people, food and culture of the island too. And here's the crazy part... We haven't even gotten to some of the biggest adventures yet! We still have our catamaran trip and zip lining coming up, so apparently St. Lucia isn't finished with us yet. 😂 If the first couple of days are any indication, this is going to be one of those family vacations that we'll be talking about for a long time. Beautiful island. Beautiful resort. Great food. Outstanding service. Friendly people. Most importantly, quality time with my family. Windjammer Landing, so far you are definitely living up to the hype. Five stars from the Montoute family! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ And we're not even done yet! 🇱🇨🌴❤️

We stayed at Windjammer Landings as a family on our summer vacation. We booked a 2 bedroom pool villa for a two week stay. The villa was very spacious with excellent views over the sea. The facilities were very good in that the villa provided a kitchen area, separate dining area and lounge from the spacious bedrooms. However, despite the space we very disappointed with the villa. It felt generally scruffy. The standard was well below any other 5 star resort villas we have stayed in. Other reviews mention poor maintenance and I would agree. We had door handles that would fall off in your hand, windows that couldn't close properly and doors that were too small from the frame leaving large gaps underneath or around as an example. The bathroom for our main bedroom was quite depressing. It felt like a prison cell with a small unattractive window high up in the ceiling. The tiles and grouting appeared grubby just from being to tired. Generally I felt everything was painted white within in an inch of it's life to make it look bright and as fresh as possible. If you book a pool villa it seems the quality of the pool is a bit hit and miss. Ours was in a dark corner and the tiles looked old and grubby. it was private but not at all welcoming. We saw much nicer pools in other villas but on the downside they were not very private from other passing guests. On arrival, we also found that having booked a 2 bed villa we had been put in 3 bed villa but after we had arrived they blocked off one of the bedroom doorways, from within out villa, and put other guests in the third bedroom!!! in our mind this was a total no no. The hotel were very good about it when we complained and later, after someone had left, they opened it up again and didn't place anyone else in there - but really and truly it should never have happened in the first place. Food in the restaurants was pretty good particularly the Italian and the grill but breakfast was awful - one of the worst we've experienced. The buffet was located in a back room that looked like an ex service kitchen and it was dark, had no windows or natural light. The selection was great if you wanted fried food but otherwise poor. Despite being told on our arrival about the huge amount of wonderful fruit in season on the island at the time, there was very little at breakfast. A little melon, sometimes pineapple and bananas. There wasn't any good fresh bread and the pastries were inedible. We also found the grounds to be tatty. Around the housekeeping bin areas where they seemed to keep store items / linen etc, there was always rubbish about. in the 2 weeks we stayed there, we saw the same litter just left lying about for the whole stay. In the most part, service at the hotel was very good. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Jean Pierre for his help and attentiveness, Matthew and Joshua in the upper deck and the wonderful front of house lady in the Italian. However, when the service did fall below expectations it did so quite dramatically. There were a few encounters with staff that were actually quite shocking and very rude - leaving us feeling very unwelcome. I won't mention any names. We booked the hotel on the basis that on the website they advertise as well as a kids club, teens activities which we thought would be great to keep out son occupied. However, this simply doesn't exist. When we referenced this onsite no one seemed to know what we were talking about. There was a team who were about on the beach doing some activities but these were a bit hit and miss and not as advertised. A real disappointment. We have been to other hotels who promote this and do an excellent job. The best feature of the hotel is the beach which is excellent with plenty of space and ample loungers for everyone. The beach attendants are very friendly and helpful but we got really fed up with staff from the spa constantly trying to drum up trade and sell treatments. The boat trip sellers were friendly but that got a bit tiresome too - especially considering the beach was private. My husband and son regularly used the tennis courts and said they were excellent. One final note - Do not consider staying without an all inclusive package. The all inclusive package is very good. Otherwise, costs at the resort are extortionate! It's more expensive than the Maldives and really not worth the prices charged. Food, drink, excursions everything is excessive compared to anywhere I have previously travelled. In summary, you can have a good family holiday here on an all inclusive package - but is it worth the money and is it good value? - The answer has to be no! It is really not a 5 star resort. Maybe it's 5 star for St Lucia but definitely not for the rest of the world. We have paid the same price for other resorts in similarly sized villas, with all inclusive packages and the difference in the quality of the accommodation and the resort is not comparable at all. We wouldn't return. St Lucia on the other hand is a very stunning island and well worth visiting

Our stay at Windjammer was great and relaxing. The staff were very friendly for the most part and very attentive. The service in the food and beverage outlets was very good. The room was amazing especially with our upgrade. The view from our room was breathtaking. We are looking forward to our next stay.
