This was my first experience staying at a secrets resort. The resort was nice with friendly staff and beautiful ocean views. My husband loved the snorkeling and the sunsets were unbelievable. We booked a snorkel sunset cruise through Fury, and they picked us up at the pier at the resort, which was really handy. I highly recommend Fury; awesome, fun staff and such a fun experience. The snorkeling was great and entertainment kept us laughing and enjoying ourselves. We booked our trip online before arriving in Cozumel and saved about $20 (instead of booking on site). We stayed in the 500 building, in a preferred ocean view room. We were on the top floor so we had a great view of the ocean. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The drawer space was limited, but plenty of closet space and cabinets to place items. The only downfall to the room was the lighting in the bathroom, but this was just a minor issue. There's a makeup mirror with lights, so that helped a lot. There was a sulfur/sewer smell outside building 500 (by the tennis courts), but this smell did not impact the room or balcony. The food was typical for an all inclusive. Some things were really good and others just ok. The room service was the best that I have experience so far at an all inclusive. Overall, great stay, but just one warning for travelers renting vehicles. We rented a jeep for a day to drive around the island. When we went to the gas station (the island only has a few), we were scammed. A worker tried to run our credit card, then said his machine wasn't working. We didnt have enough cash, so they insisted we follow a worker to an atm to get cash to pay. When we got home, our credit card was charged for the gas and so the worker got paid twice (an extra $60). If you experience something similar, call your credit card company to see if the charge went through before paying in cash.

\My husband and I have been members of RCI for many years... traveled the entire Caribbean, Europe and Mexico. This is the first time that we were extremely disappointed. Secrets Cabo San \Lucas set the bar really high for a Secrets resort. Aura Cozumel did not have the service we expected. Food was fair ..Windows restaurant had horrible food to the point that we walked out without finishing our meal. The drinks tasted horrible too...they all had a metal taste. must have been the mixers they used. Even a Pina Colda tasted bad...I drank beer most of the time and Im not a beer drinker. Room service was slow and never came with silverware. Definitely had a sewer problem (outside building 500 - preferred) the full 7 days we were there. room service dishes sat outside the room next to us for 3 days. Turn down service didn't show 2 nights, therefore we didn't have the next days itinerary. Front desk never brought it when we requested either. Needless to say, we will never return to this Secrets resort...

Spent the last 6 days with spouse and friends. Relaxing and service was nice. It’s always fun to try new foods and drinks. We did have rain And wind but made the best of it and staff helped make the best of the weather . Thanks for exceeding our expectations with rose pedals, candles and turn down service. Always makes me feel special. The sky bar is absolutely amazing for sunsets-drinks are great there too!

We traveled Feb. 10 - 17, 2018. We really enjoyed our stay here. The food was really good. Breakfast as usual was terrific. Lunch was really good at the buffet. So much fresh fruit! Loved it. The 3 restaurants were really good. We had very enjoyable evenings. They served us drinks on the beach and even brought us French fries in the afternoon for a snack when asked. The Beach is rocky but you could find your way out to smoother sand. The Snorkeling right along the beach was Fantastic! We did do a snorkel excursion which was really nice. Our room was very spacious and clean. We had the bottom floor and walked right out to the pool. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

sitting in Atlanta airport waiting for my connecting flight home to Philadelphia. Thought I would write down my thoughts while still fresh. First let me say don't take too much stock in the bad reviews. This resort is beautiful! If you like to scuba or snorkel even better yet. All the bartenders, maids, wait staff and even grounds people couldn't be friendlier. Shout out to Jose trimming the bushes around the preffered pool. Also Issac in the Preffered guest area. He couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks for a wonderful time. If you don't mind paying a little extra definitely get a preferred club room. we had a second floor overlooking the preffered pool and had a beautiful view of the beach as well. Room 525. Yes there are some minor flaws but none that are even mentionable. Every resort has them no matter how much you pay! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they could do a little better with the food at the buffet! But the individual restaurants have some really good food! Views of the sunset spectacular! Swim up bars amazingly fun to meet new people! Go have fun and relax! God knows we did! Thank you Secrets!
