First room smelled like sewer, we were moved to another room that was booked the next day so we had to move our stuff into our friend's room until the 3rd room was cleaned. We got 1514, the room that's on Youtube, so the room is beat. Furniture has been painted blue, small TV, jacuzzi didn't work and had a divot in the bottom and the faucet was missing. Maid service varied from day to day. We got our robes the last day of the week we stayed there, the maids don't know what washcloths are and I only got one bottle of conditioner but many bottles of lotion. Some days we didn't get towels and had to ask. We had a leak in the bathroom one day, my husband almost slipped and fell. Next day there was a puddle of water outside our door leaking from a service access door in the corner. One day the pool 4 floors up was leaking. The buffet was closed at Aura but we were able to hike the almost mile to the neighboring facility to use that buffet. One of the few restaurants were closed during the week for conservation purposes only. Loud, drunk body builder types were at the preferred pool where we should have been but chose not to go. I would not go back to this resort.

Good location. Resort is nice but showing it's age. Though clean, the rooms and resort need a little TLC. Gardens were nice. Many of the advertised daily activities did not happen. We would show up at the posted time for something and it seemed none of the staff knew what was supposed to be happening. Food was OK. Buffet was disappointing. Much better at the Sunscape Sabor next door which is included. Fantastic treatment by Joy at the spa. Avoid Desire nightclub. No one is usually there and it has strange lighting. Construction on a new restaurant was going on 7 days a week until after 7pm. Very noisy and disruptive if you were close to it. Nice tennis courts.

What can I says, Service, service, service. I'm sure I will forget to mention some name. However this staff is 6 stars all the way. I travel for a living and they are the best anywhere. The front desk manager Carlos Camargo made me feel like I just came home. Anything I asked for was provided very quickly. Very friendly and professional. Yussell Perez bell service, was so helpful all week long. Marcos, Adrian, Margarito at Windows and Oceana restaurants were exceptional in their service. Luis Ediberto at the pool bar and the beach hostess Zitlaly real service with a smile. 24 hour room service is great. I think Bordeaux was my favorite restaurant. Coco Café for great coffee and lattes. Sky Bar was beautiful to watch sunsets which are perfect. I am very much looking forward to my next rip back to Secrets Aura. I am very impressed with the service and the accommodations and the perfect sunsets.

This was our 3rd vacation at Secrets Aura Cozumel. We have loved it every time. Yussell greets us as we arrive and hugs us when we leave. It feels like we are visiting family while we are here. We will definitely be back.

All the bad things that everybody says about this resort are true, plus the place is old and they don’t take care of it we lost power two days, other people had no hot water, the food is just so so, and if you don’t have the preferred area you are not allowed into it and that is where the better pool and beach areas are. Also, the beach is full of rocks you cannot walk into it
