Elevator broken to get to room. Manager moved us the following day to another room on first floor because I have COPD and couldn't climb stairs. No hot water in our room the entire week. We went 2 days without maid service or washcloths in the room. Only 3 restaurants were open and 1 snack bar all week. Menu at 2 restaurants (Windows & Oceana) stayed the same the whole week. Food was luke warm and sometimes cold. Very disappointed with this resort

Stay away from this place. It has been bought out and is greatly understaffed and not able to provide what they will sell you on.

Wait for them to tear this place down, they are working their way down the beach renovating. Resort needs it badly. Also if you like your doors to work so you can get in your room or to be able to take hot showers … wait for the renovation

We stayed here a year ago and really enjoyed ourselves, so much so that we returned home and immediately booked another stay for November 2025. When we arrived, we were informed that our reserved room had been double-booked and our premium beachfront junior suite was downgraded. The beachfront room is the reason we loved our stay last year. Most of the restaurants were closed. For dinner we had the option of 2 seafood restaurants (we don't like seafood), making a reservation 2 days in advance for their hibachi table, or the buffet. Our food options were extremely limited, but you don't know this until you arrive. Even their app lists all of the restaurants and their menus, just to rub it in. = p The rooms are nicely decorated and clean enough, but could use an update. The age of the rooms really shows. The employees to a man were always extremely friendly without appearing fake. We were greeted whenever we came across an employee on the grounds, and the service workers were always polite and genial. There are no activities and few amenities. We did enjoy the spa, but it is very overpriced. I think it was worth it because I received the best deep tissue massage I have ever had.

I was in room 535 and had no problems, beautiful view and hot water for every shower which I heard others complaining they did not. Prior notice that two of the restaurants were closed would have been nice, however we definitely did not go hungry. Servers on beach did a good job of keeping our drinks full and there were fish to see in the water right out front. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to snorkel as the weather was not nice while I was there.

Truly a five star place - the resort never seemed crowded and maintained a quiet vibe. The food was outstanding at every meal. I would recommend this resort to anyone at any time without blinking. We will definitely return to this resort.
