Wife and I went here for six nights, checking out on July 17th. We've stayed at a few adults only all inclusive prior. The service was great, the only rude experience we had was after check in when they try to convince you to go to their time share breakfast. (She wouldn't take no for an answer) The swim up bar/most popular pool is in the back of the resort where you have no view of the ocean. Snorkeling is available for free and we saw many fish and some lobster just off the beach. There is a dive school at the partner resort next door. We paid $80 USD a piece and were given lessons, then taken out to a reef just out from the resort where we saw some great sea life. We stayed in room 1126 that had a partial ocean view. The room was spacious and clean, the AC worked great and there wasn't much of a musty smell. My biggest complaint is with breakfast. There are two places to go to eat breakfast, Oceana and the Buffet. The breakfast buffet looked disgusting the two times we went to eat there. There is a cook that will do omelets and eggs to order but the line was so long we didn't bother. Oceana was good but I think others caught on to the bad buffet and there was normally a wait so we ended up ordering room service. Lunch and Dinner were good no matter where we went. All in all we had a fun trip. Don't do the preferred club, one of the few places I have been to that I didn't see any benefit to purchasing. No need to pre book a ride. There were plenty of taxi's at the airport and it was only $20 USD for one way transport. Just bypass all the time share people and go straight to the taxi stand that is clearly marked right before you exit the airport.

First let me say that we have stayed at this resort many times. And the staff and management are the reason we continue to return. Arrive: we arrived A little late since our plane was delayed. But was so excited to see Fernando and Yussef as we got out of the van. A fresh drink and fresh towels started our vacation. The only thing missing was the other Fernando our smiling happy friend. So sorry we missed you this trip. Checkin: Alex made our check-in seamless it probably took a total of five minutes. Cynthia and Armando are always available to help as well. Management: The biggest thank you goes out to Nelly who manages this friendly hospitable staff. Nelly you made our stay very comfortable very fun and very Memorable! The biggest hugs and thank you to You!!!! Breakfast: It was a pleasure seeing Yuritza and Adrianna at Windows for breakfast. The new menu is very good. Love the eggs benedict! And, the service by Marcus, Marguerite, and Adrian is excellente! Lunch: The fish tacos, cerviche, And nachos are our favorite lunchtime snacks at the Oceana. Oops, forgot the Cesar salad! Yummy! It was always nice seeing Armando there. Dinner: The surf and turf at the Oceana and the filet mignon on at the Oceana andthe pork tenderloins at the French restaurant were several of our favorite dinners. A big shout out to Francisco for managing an awesome staff and to Joseph for making a wonderful bananas Foster. Skybar: our evenings began at the sky bar with Jesus and Pablo mixing up some fine cocktails. Waitresses and Waiters: The biggest thank you's and kudos to Vickie, Aurelli, Alejandro and Johnny. Mgmt: again a big thank you to Nellie, Carlos, and Omar for providing such good management at this resort. We have traveled to many resorts, but continue to return to secrets which is our second home. The staff and the management make it an excellent place to relax. They are such a friendly group of individuals or really our second family. A vacation is all in what you make of it. We have always treated the staff excellent and therefore they return this same server treatment with excellent service. I have read both good reviews and bad reviews, but take most of the bad reviews with a grain of salt. I do want to mention one thing that I saw that really upset me. The morning we were getting ready to leave I counted 13 staff members wearing gloves and carrying trash bags as they picked up cigarette butts on the beach. It is very very sad that it took so many staff away from there other responsibilities because they had to clean up after adults that couldn't dispose of their own waste in a proper manner. Shame on those that carelessly trash the beautiful beaches that others wish to enjoy! Just because you are at an All inclusive resort should not give you the right to act so irresponsible. It's very easy to drop the empty cups off near the bar instead of leaving them on the sand. And there are bins for the dirty towels! Imagine how many good things these 13 staff members could have been doing to make everyone's vacation better! We will be seeing you again soon Secret Staff.. Until then take care and God bless you all for the hard work you all do!

This resort has good snorkeling right on the beach. They let you borrow snorkel gear. They also have paddle boarding and kayaking. Restraunts are good. Great rooms. Very relaxing. Wait staff is very friendly.

When in Secrets Aura you must dine in Bordeaux Restaurant. Gaudencio the waiter was great, pleasant and had a wealth of information. Great conversation and the food was spectacular. Their flame banana desert was over the top decadent!!! Not only was it a dessert, it was a performance. Great job Gaudencio. !!

We had a great time. Staff was great and friendly. Our room was clean and large. Food was good. We felt safe and appreciated the whole trip. We did not want to leave. The people complaining forget you are not in USA and not paying USA prices. We will return.
