The staff was amazing. Thank you Rafael,Ernesto, Enrique and Hamlet for going above and beyond. Those guys were always busy trying to please everyone. The beach was beautiful met some great people. Some of the rooms have been updated and some have not. The floors in some rooms can become slick with condensation during the middle of the night. This needs to be addressed and fixed to prevent accidents. My friend actually slipped and fell early in the morning going to the bathroom. It was almost morning but still dark outside. We had 2 go to the hospital and the staff Hamlet took care of everything. 2nd day in so terrible it happened. Didn't get out to eat after that. They did let us order filets and delivered to our room. Filets were very good. I had fish one night delivered thank you Serigo it was very good. Room service needs better selection and don't order the pizza. The club sandwich was very good and the burger and fries are good. Thanks again to all the staff who really did a great job. Oh and last thing if you can't get hot water in your shower turn on and run your bath water and maybe sink water. Beats me how that's plumbed but other guest had to do that in order to take a hot shower.

I've come to this same resort 5 times over the years and never have I been overcharged...until now. I had a spa day and paid with my credit card, but when I checked out, there were two extra 50-minute beach massages added to my room charges. The room charge "slip" didn't have my correct last name nor did it have my room number, but it was charged to my room. I've been working with the resort for a week but no resolution has occurred. I'm having to go through my bank to dispute the charges and that is a pain! I've called numerous times (at least 20) to get this resolved, but have only spoken to two people. The rest of the calls have either been disconnected or no one answers. Normally, this is a wonderful place with no issues, but be aware when checking out to review the charges.

The resort is beautiful and so peaceful. There are so many activities and some entertainment provided. I absolutely loved the beach and pools.

This Secrets is old, rundown, and the food is terrible. The "premium" alcohol package is Stoli vodka - in no way premium. We booked a ~$700+ per night swim up suite and we literally left our reservation early knowing we may not get a refund. It was truly that bad. This was our second trip to the hotel and everything has only gotten worse. When we went in November 2023, we were told they were remodeling. We had a decent trip then - we were horrified by the first room they took us to and ended up upgrading to a nice swim up suite that had clearly been recently renovated. The food was decent in November 2023. When we came back this April 2024, we were expecting a full renovation of the hotel and a better experience - but it was much, much worse. Nothing had been renovated except the Preferred Club, but the food and beverage options were terrible. The food was often so bad it was inedible and we left our lamb and fish entrees after trying a bite and had to return to our room to order sandwiches and fries from room service. The room was awful. The fixtures in the bathroom were so old they had rust and mold on them that got on your hands when you used the sink or flushed the toilet. TRUST ME - book the intercontinental hotel or an airbnb. Do not stay here. If you have kids, the Dreams next door is much nicer and new. We are two married folks without kids so the Dreams wasn't an option we were interested in, but it is nice and the food is much better there.

This was our first time staying at the Secrets Aura Resort in Cozumel. It is adults only which made our time at the pool and restaurants very enjoyable. We were greeted like long lost friends and the staff were the warmest, friendliest people that we have ever encountered while traveling. They were genuine and actually went out of their way to make sure our every need was met. Will absolutely return here again in the future.
