Belizean Dreams Resort

Had a wonderful stay with another couple celebrating a 40th birthday. All of the reviews below are pretty accurate. All staff members are warm and caring and really want you to have an excellent time on vacation. The food was amazing and we never got sick of it. The drinks and fruit juices were also delicious. We stayed in a standard hotel room which is located above the lobby. It was clean and cozy and included 2in1 shampoo and shower gel. 6 bottles of water is also left in the room every night. The resort itself was pretty quiet but while in our room, we had issues with live entertainment noise from the neighbor resort to the south until 1030p and the employees who were washing the company vehicles and working on things in the alley down below at 5am. The resort also had kayaks and paddle boards that we took out several times. They had snorkel masks I believe but I used my own to go out front of the resort and didn’t see anything. You can see manatees out front some mornings too which was incredible! No wristbands at this resort however you’ll need to sign your tabs after meals and periodically through the day, so if they haven’t already chased you down make sure to just tell them you’re ready to sign before you wander off. And finally, I cannot mention loud enough to make sure you pack as much bug spray as you possibly can and it NEEDS to have as much deet in it as legally allowed. Anything else will not work against the noseeums and mosquitoes. You can pick up a 6oz can in the lobby gift shop for $12USD. I also recommend a yeti/insulated tumbler for your drinks and beers. The heat and humidity melts the ice in your drinks in about 10 minutes and no one wants a warm beer!

Our family of six, including two little ones, had an amazing week at Belizean Dreams! From the moment we landed in Belize City to be transported by a small plane to the resort, we felt the warmth of the staff and the excellent organization of this small all-inclusive resort. With just 27 rooms in 9 villas that can easily be combined for families, we had plenty of space to spread out and relax. Each villa has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an open living, dining and kitchen area, plus two large decks. Meals were delicious and varied, and there are many tours and activities in addition to the lovely beach and pool. Our group went snorkeling on what is now the largest living reef in the world; toured a cocoa farm and Chocolate factory, as well as a butterfly farm; and took a sunset cruise on the Sittee River. More than anything, I want to praise the staff of this special place: we felt instantly “known” and the focus of their efforts. The staff knew our names, catered to our every need and brought such joy to the experience. If you’re looking for super-luxe, this is probably not your place, but it’s affordable and a special way to experience the beautiful nation of Belize.

Incredible time at this resort. It’s just the right size to have plenty to do but also experience a very local touch. The staff is simply the best. We were a family reunion with 12 people, and the first night at dinner, our waiter had learned every single one of our names. You get to experience the same staff throughout the whole time you are here. It was fun to get to know them and hear about their families. They truly add a personal touch to this place. We had a lot of fun jumping off the big dock which has a rope swing 100 m down the beach. The food is very good. They’re very accommodating of special requests. Our favorite excursions were the zip line and cave tubing. And the snorkeling. They also set us up with a local scuba dive operator who was very good. We truly hope to be back here. And in part because we can’t wait to see all the staff that we got to know this week. And if you have any questions or concerns about anything, Stephanie has the ability to take care of everything! One other thing, the staff we interacted with prior to the trip we’re also amazing. They responded quickly and helped us with any little question we had. Especially Kersten!!

It was absolutely incredible. The staff are highly highly professional, incredibly funny, and deeply caring. They make it clear through their actions that this isn’t just a job, it’s a passion, and each guest is an extension of their family.
