Belizean Dreams Resort

Great Experience. The resorts team made every guest feel like family. Excursions were amazing.

It is our first time in Belize and at Belizean dreams resort. The Hopkins area feels very safe. We went for walks, runs and bike rides and never felt at ease. The locals are quick to wave and give a hello. The resort is lovely. The rooms are spotless and the cleaning staff take good care of you. We exercise a lot and when the cleaning person saw workout clothes draped on the deck chairs to dry she had a drying rack put on our deck. Although there is only restaurant the options change daily. The food was good and there was enough variety. The bar snacks were a real treat. The quality of the cocktails was the best I have had on vacation in years. Fresh coconut, orange juice and pineapple in the drinks. No mixes like most resorts do now. I had cocktails that were new and refreshing. Even their mocktails were high quality. The cost of wine is high in Belize but to be honest as a Canadian not much higher than we pay in Canada. This resort didn’t include wine in its all inclusive package because of the high price of wine here. We brought a bottle of wine each with us and then bought 2 bottles at the duty free when we arrived. If you do run out the grocery store in Hopkins had a good variety of wine at different price points. The staff at this resort know your names by Day 2 and everyone goes out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. I would rate the service level here a 10 out of 10. We took kayaks out a couple of times and enjoyed paddling out to see the manatees. We also did the hike to the waterfall as our included tour option. The last 1/3 of this hike is quite difficult and you definitely want to be physically fit. You can just hike to the 2/3 hike and wait there while others finish the full hike. Jose our guide was really good at coaching you through the difficult section of the hike. He had humorous stories and was great at detailing the flora and fauna of the area. Bring lots of mosquito repellent with you. Mosquitos love to bite me and I applied it after I put on sunscreen in the morning, mid day and again in the evening. I still managed to get a good 8-10 bites but took Benadryl at night to reduce the itch and swelling. My husband only got one bite. I would highly recommend this area of Belize and this resort. I would definitely return to Belizean Dreams for another vacation.

We just returned from a week at Belizean Dreams in Hopkins, and it's the kind of place that ruins you for other resorts. The scale is what makes it work. This isn't a mega-resort where you're a room number — it's small enough that the staff knows your name by dinner on day one, remembers your drink order by day two, and genuinely seems disappointed when you leave. The service felt personal in a way that larger properties simply can't replicate, no matter how hard they try. The food genuinely surprised us. We came in with modest expectations for a boutique property in a small coastal village, and we were wrong. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and well beyond what you'd expect. We found ourselves skipping the idea of eating out in town because the on-site restaurant was that good. But the proximity to town was a big plus—not miles away in a strip, but a short bike ride or golf cart ride away from Hopkins. When we weren’t enjoying the comfortable, clean, quiet, and beautiful resort, we had amazing excursions. We did snorkeling on the Barrier Reef, horseback riding, cave tubing, rappelling, jungle hiking, and zip lining — and every single one was well-organized, safely run, and led by guides who clearly loved what they do. Not a dud in the bunch, which is rare. Too many resorts treat excursions as an afterthought; Belizean Dreams clearly doesn't. If you're looking for a place where luxury means attention and quality rather than marble lobbies and velvet ropes, Hopkins and Belizean Dreams deserve serious consideration. We're already talking about going back.worth every penny.

We are not normally resort people, but we wanted to join our 11 friends in celebrating all our sons’ upcoming graduations; an all-inclusive resort ensured that we didn’t have to squabble over bills 3x a day and we were attracted by the smaller feel of Belizean Dreams. After our stay at Belizean Dreams, we are converted! The staff, the space, the food, and the incredible hospitality we experienced blew away our expectations daily. Everyone in our party of 14 was happy, relaxed, and exquisitely well-fed the entire week of our stay. The villas were large, quiet, and provided wonderful moments of relaxation. The food was so amazing (for our group of foodies, no less) that we never wanted to go off property for anything. In fact, we regularly asked the chef for his recipes! The drinks were so good and the bartenders so accommodating that it was easy to work our way through the cocktail menu throughout the week. The staff makes the experience here so intimate and family-like. Everyone knows your name by day 1, and no request seems unreasonable. They did so many special things for us, we lost count! Special recognition belongs to Stephanie, Natasha, and Alex who went above and beyond each day for us. In short: I can’t recommend Belizean Dreams highly enough. We hated leaving and can’t wait to get back.

Me and my daughter had the BEST vacation at the Belizean Dreams! The staff was attentive, super friendly and so much fun to be around! Everything on the property was clean and beautiful including our room. The food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent. We immensely enjoyed all of the tours that we went on! The drivers and the tour guides were friendly and extremely knowledgeable about each tour location. We will definitely be coming back to vacation at the Belizean Dreams and we will be telling our friends, family and colleagues to come to stay at this resort!
