We were at Belizean Dreams Resort last week for a family wedding and it was wonderful. Here's what you need to know. Plus Side. This resort is small, like eight housing buildings, each divided into three units. It took two minutes to walk from our room to the restaurant, pool, bar, beach, front desk, anything. The staff are INCREDIBLY attentive and friendly. They will do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay. Everything we ate was delicious. The drinks (alcoholic and NA, smoothies, juices) are free-flowing and encouraged with friendly banter. You will not be throttled by lines or absent bar staff here. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, and everything was clean, very clean. We enjoyed our off-resort excursion, a waterfall hike. The vehicle was in great shape and our guides were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area (geography, history, plants, the trail). We used the bikes a couple of times to ride around the local area and into Hopkins. They were well-maintained. Family members rented the golf carts and reported they were great as well. The beach was cleaned every morning with kayaks and SUP to borrow. When we were kayaking, local manatees visited us. Things to consider. The sand fleas were going strong during our visit. Make sure you bring bug spray, antihistamines, Benadryl gel, etc. Some said oils work well. It takes a bit more work to get to the resort. After landing at the airport in Belize City, you will board a puddle jumper plane to get to Dangriga, and then the resort will pick you up and take you the rest of the way. The small flight was 15-25 minutes and the additional drive was 25-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The free alcohol drinks are with local alcohol only. If you want a name brand like Captain, you will have to pay for the drink (there is happy hour from 4-6 with a discount). In the evenings, the restaurant serves a themed buffet instead of from a menu (taco night, Belize night). They had a lot of selections with something for everyone and it all was delicious. But if you are super picky, like only eat chicken nuggets, then you should consider going somewhere else or just head out of the resort for another restaurant. All in all, we had a great stay. I ran on the local roads a couple of times and felt completely safe. The weather, food, and beach were wonderful. If you are looking for a smaller, quieter resort with top-notch service, then this place is for you.

I had my wedding here and it was absolutely wonderful! The entire process was super smooth and stress-free. Delci helped tremendously with wedding planning and ensured that all details were taken care of both before our trip and during our big day. The entire staff is so kind and personable. They made us and our 30+ guests feel special during our stay. The food, drinks, accommodations, and tours were all great, and I would recommend this resort to anyone traveling with friends, family, or alone.

Overall we had a great stay at Belizean Dreams for 5 days. We decided not to do the all-inclusive option as we had a rental car I'm probably wouldn't be doing a lot of drinking. The staff are the highlight this resort, pretty much everybody is very friendly and helpful especially Stephanie, Natasha, and Bruno. The rooms are very nice and clean and have lots of space. Beds are very comfortable and clean. 6 bottles of water are provided daily as well as beach towels and a very good quality and soap made with honey. The beach, bar, & pool area is very well equipped with all kinds of different beach chairs, day beds, and different areas to hang out. There are also games including ladder ball, cornhole, and x's & Os to keep guests entertained. The bar area was recently expanded and is very large and accommodating. Food at the restaurant was good with lunch being the best value. All the menus are in USD which is a little strange as everywhere else in Belize it is in Balizean dollars, this made things fairly expensive if you're not on the all-inclusive option as we are Canadian. The lunch menu was very good value and everything was tasty. Dinner we found the portions to be small for the pricing tho. Drinks were all very good and there are lots of variety. The beach was very nice and was raked daily and you can walk both ways along the beach to explore the shoreline. There are multiple restaurants including an Italian, Filipino, seafood, and an ice cream shop within a 2 minute walk from the resort on the front Road. There is also a great little live music bar next door called Play. We spent multiple nights here having a couple drinks and enjoying the music and atmosphere. Overall this is a very good experience I think next time we would do the all-inclusive if we can get the right price.

From the time we were picked up from the airport, entered the lobby, and began our journey, we felt very welcomed. Every staff member is friendly, helpful and fun to be around. Loved the tours and the flexibility to customize based on our interests.

My husband and I stayed at Belizean Dreams and we had the time of our lives. The staff was outstanding! They bent over backwards to accommodate us and make us feel at home. They were also very helpful in helping us pick the right tours and excursions. The chef then cooked us all the different fish we caught on our day tour—we never had seafood so delicious! We definitely recommend Belizean Dreams to everyone. You are guaranteed a relaxing, care-free luxurious vacation!
