Staff, smallness, rooms, pools were all one could ask for. The restaurant Casa Rolandi became kind of boring after awhile, especially at breakfast. I was sadden that after 3 years of being members they still pressured us to spend more money. This was after we told them before we went to hear "the updates and advantages of your membership."

The Zoetry is probably the best resort on Isla Mujeres, but it falls short of a luxury resort. The public facilities (pool, beach, lobby) are in very nice shape, but the rooms are in need of an update. There is a lot of wear and tear and the decor is dated. Restaurants have a nice selection and good quality but service is seriously lacking. There were very long delays and often the orders came incorrect. Service at the front desk and room service were similarly lacking.

This was our second time to this resort and I will definitely come back! Great rooms, beautiful property and the service was spectacular. I absolutely loved how Alexander, Yolanda, Juan, Beatrice, Jose and Hilario made us feel welcome and made sure we were relaxed the entire time! Many thanks for a wonderful vacation experience! Did not think about work AT ALL - just a ton of pool time, food & drinks :) Not much for kids to do, but great for R&R quiet time.....

My husband, sister and brother-in-law, and I just got back from one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever taken. Although there was a little hiccup at the beginning, the rest of the week was perfect, and I wish I was there right now getting ready to watch the sunset. I had imagined being whisked off to the resort with champagne in hand on a private yacht. Well, we arrived at the pickup point right on schedule...and we waited. And waited. No yacht. Double, triple checking the email and the pickup point, we called the resort, and, turns out, they had recently CHANGED the pickup point, but forgot to inform me. We had to take the ferry and then a cab to the resort. Aaargh! Not off to a great start. HOWEVER, they were super apologetic (Kevin, you made it all better), owned the mistake, reimbursed us for the ferry, met us at the ferry dock and paid for the taxi. It worked out, but here's some advice if you're going: Be sure to confirm the pick up point as close to the time as possible. I know things happen, but what makes this experience different than some of my travel snafus is that they actually cared and did their best to remedy the situation. Sometimes a little customer service is all it takes. I give Zoetry an A+ in this area. In fact, the service all the way around is one thing that sets this resort above many others. The staff is attentive, enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful at all times. They celebrated our anniversary and treated us like we were special the whole time we were there. Juan Carlos at the pool works his butt off to take care of us. Everyone on the pool staff hustles like I've never seen. They remember you and what you drink and have it waiting for you so you never go without. We loved the pools themselves and always found a good spot to hang out both in and around the pools. The beach was small, but nice, but it was too overtaken by a large, drunk and rowdy group most of the time. I was actually grateful when they were at the beach because they had a way of taking over the pool when they were there, making it hard to relax. I don't know if staff said anything to them, but they were a little more subdued after their first night. There were some children there, but they were incredibly well behaved. I'll them over the loud, obnoxiously drunk adults any day. By the way, this is not the best resort to take a large partying group. Do the other guests a favor and go to Cancun. The restaurants: We ate dinner at each one three times, and all of the food and service was excellent! The menu each night we ate at La Metissage was fun and interesting, and the staff was friendly, gracious, and informative. It was an adventure in eating for my husband, who is a very picky eater. But he was game and tried even what he thought was the weird stuff. (It wasn't THAT weird, he just thought it was:)) But my sister and her husband, who are big foodies, and I LOVED everything. Our room was 106, which is perfect...nice and big and steps away from everything. You'd think privacy would be an issue, but with the size of the resort, everything is private really. We rented a golf cart from the hotel ($90 for 24 hours) and drove all over the island, got massages on the beach (my sister and I had planned to spend some time at the spa at the hotel while the boys played golf. It is nice, but REALLY expensive, even compared to other AM Resorts), went diving, played golf (although greens fees are included, it still cost $70 each plus a $20 cab ride each way), and swam with the whale sharks, which, by the way, is NOT to be missed! They are fantastic creatures. There's quite a bit to do on this small, lovely island and we had a wonderful time at this intimate, beautiful resort. I could go on, but all I'll say is that I will be back!

Just spent a great week here celebrating our anniversary and my husband's birthday. Everything was perfect - catamaran ride over, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the beach is smaller but beautiful and we never had trouble getting chairs, and the food was great. We never used the spa, so can't comment on that. We loved both restaurants, but found the "fancier" one (Le Metissage?) to be fantastic! Slacks are required for men, but it is air conditioned and very comfortable. The menu changes nightly and we thought all 3 nights we ate there were wonderful. Sitting right over the ocean at Casa Rolandi for the rest of our meals was absolutely lovely, views are amazing and plenty on the menu even for a week. We did the romantic dinner one night and it was truly special. Drinks in the Cosy Bar or right on the beach were both great. We did multiple scuba trips as well as the whale shark tour through Casa Del Buceo - they pick up right from the Zoetry dock and are fantastic. Everything was great, but the attitude of the staff was probably the highlight - we felt so genuinely welcomed by all!!
