The lodge is well located next to the river, in which are residing hippos! That was such a great attraction as we could watch them from our tent deck and from the restaurant. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We had a great time and would highly recommend it!
Hello B
This lodge FAR surpasses your highest expectations. Everyone is extremely attentive and welcoming. They go above and beyond in every aspect. Hobart our server was excellent and made our stay amazing. Food was great and love ordering off a menu versus having a buffet. We would love to visit again.

We stayed here for two nights in order to visit the world famous Ngorogoro crater. Located just outside the main gate , it is the perfect location to keep driving time to a minimum without incurring the major fees that lodges inside the gate must pay. The “room” was huge - bigger than every two bedroom apartment I have ever lived in. There’s a large sitting area (with a wood stove), big outside covered deck, ensuite bathroom and large bedroom with king sized bed , and another wood burning stove. We stayed in June - and a combination of winter evening temperatures and the altitude of the lodge, meant we used the wood burning stove on both nights ! The turn down service even included a hot water bottle !! The lodge itself, and the grounds / gardens are beautiful, and immaculately maintained. We heard wild elephants in the night . A combination of long days on safari and the cooler temperatures meant we didn’t get to try the very nice looking swimming pool. The staff are excellent , friendly, and helpful . Breakfast and supper were great , and the lunchtime safari “go box” was substantial , and you got to pick what went into it. If I ever get to come back to Ngorogoro- this is definitely where I will stay !

We are a family of four who love to travel the world and experience the best in luxury—and this resort truly delivered! From Martina at concierge who made everything seamless, to Chef John who delighted us with every meal, to our wonderful private butler Veronica who anticipated every need, and Joseph, our Safari driver—each member of the team went above and beyond. A special thank you to Christopher, the manager, whose leadership clearly sets the tone for such outstanding service. We had an unforgettable three night stay and will recommend to our friends from Raleigh, NC, USA!
