The beach is really stunning, and the dedicated beach beds and Bali bed for each room are so wonderful. We love hearing the ocean from our room, and the rooms are large with 4 post-beds and mosquito nets. It's a very special spot. We appreciate that it is adult only - the beach is quiet and feels deserted even when the Resort is full. The staff are friendly and helpful. However the food and service were erratic, and it's expensive to stay here. The food got repetitive and there weren't always options we wanted to eat. Sometimes it was delicious, sometimes it was very average. There is nightly 'entertainment' that was often too highly amplified for a dinner - it was too loud to have conversation and we sometimes rushed trough dinner to escape the noise. There were biting ants in the Bali bed that we had to ask to get cleared out on a daily basis, and there were sometimes sewage smells drifting over breakfast and at the back of the property where we walked to get between the room and the restaurant.

A good start but a miserable ending

We had an outstanding start to our holiday with a superb welcome despite our late arrival and a room upgrade. But the holiday ended with the customer service department falling desperately short and seemingly not caring about our needs - instead eager to see us away from their premises. Having accepted that as advertised the resort has a "rustic" vibe which we were happy with there were highlights. The fish at dinner, the excellent house wines (Primitivo exceptional as a house wine), the beautiful beach, the excellent service from those working in the restaurants and bars, the general friendliness of everyone you met (gardeners, maintenance, cleaners etc) and the comfort of the rooms were some of the positives. Our flight home was at 21.10. We had asked repeatedly for an extension of our room - we were happy to pay extra for this - and were told we would be told on the morning of our departure what was possible. I checked with customer services on the morning of our departure and was told we could not retain our room as they had customers booked in to it on the day of our departure. I noted that the hotel was by no means at full capacity and one of the staff confirmed they were not full. I was though told they would contact me within half an hour to tell me if I could have a shower room during the day. That promised contact was never received and we were left sweltering in our return clothes and being kicked out of our rooms at 12 noon. Given there was no air conditioning in the public areas we had no alternative but to bring our transfer time forward and leave the resort earlier. Fortunately, we called another resort we had previously visited and found a far more helpful attitude. Their customer services was able to provide us with a room from 1pm to 6.30pm for just $20. Because we were previous visitors this was a nominal sum to cover toiletries, towels and a re-visit from housekeeping but it was a welcome return to what I would expect from an outstanding customer service team Guess where we are going later this year when we visit Antigua again?

Keyonna was exactly what we needed!

We stayed in #49, a Beach Sanctuary Villa with pool. It was fabulous. It was one of three that was raised up off the beach, offering a view we thought was spectular. Maybe because it was up high, privacy was 100%, but we found everyone to be respectful around us that no one made us feel we didn’t have privacy. We would request one of these rooms when we return. We will definitely return!

Amazing and unique

Small and intimate with an attentive staff. Perfect spot for a romantic beach vacation set “right on the beach.” 10 second walk from private cottage, with plunge pool, to the ocean. Incredible views. Pricey but worth every penny.

Very good resort

Very good resort specially the staff. Very kind people always smiling. The beach is amazing. The food was great, but the lunch menu has little variety, but great food quality. For the price we paid, there should be many more lunch options. The cottage view was awesome, we slept so so well, so quiet and relaxing. Again, for the price we paid, cleaning should be more thorough, sometimes there were sand in our room. It’s not a problem of the staff, but there should be more cleaning staff. Price too high for what it offers. The best part is, all the beach is for you, no crowded resort.
