Esmerlyn and Heury were great! Their hospitality was great and wonderful. The food was great! The energy they were bringing was great!

Dinner at Sakura was excellent. Wonderful service, friendly staff, especially Esmerlyn and Heury. This is a must do!

Location is perfect. No sargassum, beautiful water, beaches and right next to Bayahibe beach really made our trip extra special. Our concierge Antonio was very helpful and responsive during our first day but we rarely needed anything for the rest of our week here. Our beach side waitress, Diorka was amazing, always with a smile and lively personality. Lots of places have infinity pools, beaches and restaurants, but the standout staff I mentioned, plus the location took our vacation from really good to great. Highly recommend.

We booked the Preferred Club for our stay, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. Our room faced the pool, even though I was expecting a partial ocean view. Check‑in was chaotic, and unlike other resorts, we were not escorted to our room on arrival, which was disappointing. The beach itself is beautiful, but it needs more attention. I was surprised by the trash near the shoreline and throughout the sand. While I respect the policy of not reserving chairs, our belongings were removed by beach staff while we stepped away for a 30‑minute breakfast — I timed it. When we returned, our things were gone, and no one informed us of what happened. I was panicking. A fellow guest told us that security had removed our items and that we needed to go to concierge to retrieve them. It is unacceptable for staff to handle guests’ personal property without notice. Meanwhile, other guests were gone far longer than 45 minutes and their belongings were untouched. Why not focus on cleaning the beach instead of removing people’s things? Buffet was strange. Most of the food was behind a window where you have to point to what you want and the staff would serve it to you. It wasn't a big issue for me, but it was definitely strange for me. Another issue was the extremely loud music on the beach. Loud music by the pool is understandable due to activities, but the beach should offer a more relaxing environment. When most guests are reading or resting, blasting music across the shoreline shows a lack of awareness. The restaurants were decent, and we rarely experienced long wait times. The staff, including management, were pleasant, and we enjoyed the activities and evening shows. Overall, we did have a nice vacation — aside from the issues mentioned above. Would I return? No. Would I recommend this resort? Also no. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway where you can unwind without worrying about your belongings being removed from the beach, this isn’t the place.

We stayed at Secrets for 5 nights, as preferred guests. We were in a group. Starting the second night on property, we all became sick. The sickness lasted through our entire stay and even after returning home. After seeking medical care, we all tested positive for Salmonella. Upon looking at the fb page for the resort, more than a dozen guests all had similar symptoms to ours around the same timeframe that we were there. The hotel could not care less, and said we could’ve contracted the illness at the airport or on the flight. We flew in from different states, on different flights so that excuse doesn’t add up. We also had an issue during our stay where we came back to our room one evening to find an open 1/2 drank beer left on our bathroom counter. We had been out of the room all day, and were alarmed. We spoke to the hotel about this. They claim they “checked the cameras” and that housekeeping brought trash into our room from another room, and after cleaning our room left the trash on our sink. Sounds super sketchy. Avoid them. Spend your money elsewhere. The food was bland, restaurant service beyond slow, entertainment mediocre at best. The service and experience definitely not as advertised.
