Just returned from 1 week vacation at Dreams LaRomana. The property was gorgeous, the workers extremely polite and helpful even went as far as helped my 86 yr old dad up the steps. The beach was big and clean, the water was gorgeous. The pools were awesome. There was a staff member at each building enterance . Alberto and Ben were great at The World Cafe . Every stafff treated you with an "hola" and if you asked how they were everyone would say "excellent". The food at all the restaurants was ok not great. We liked the World cafe the best. Our room was a tad small but kept clean. The only problem was our housekeeper could not remember we had 4 in our room we got 3 towels, 3 chocolates etc. Asked for extra towel never got them. Would recommend this to anyone looking to go. This was our kids first all inclusive and they LOVED it.. Plenty to do if you wanted to.

Had a fab time in Dreams ala Romana ... fab resort with great team and facilities. We went preferred which was so worth it, from the very efficient check in to the preferred club to relax in, the preferred pool and beach. Staff all worked so hard and made every effort to please and to ensure your requests were made. Choice of restaurants were lovely, seaside grill for preferred breakfast / Olio for lunch (adults only ) and was lovely and cool ... Henry was a super manager and managed a very efficient team. The seaside grill was very busy in the evenings and there could be a delay. Bordeaux was a fab restaurant and the rib eye was gorgeous .. adults only but fab! The world cafe had a super choice and selection of foods at all times and the staff were super. Emilia was so keen to ensure any drink or food orders pool side at family preferred pool were got ...the gym was always busy in the early mornings but lovely and cool and the gym guy so helpful ... he also did the aqua aerobics at the beach and was good fun Picasso was ALWAYS full of energy and had a huge personality and great on the entertainment to ensure as many as possible would get involved in all activities The Coco Cafe was always buzzing and a welcome respite from the heat and humidity and great coffees and frapacinnos and snacks ... staff in here were fab! don't think I could find any faults and would highly recommend it as a family holiday and for those looking for adult only the adult preferred area is fab

I was hesitant to come here, as we have been to the Dominican Republic 5 times previously and always stay at the same place, which we loved. However, we wanted to try someplace new....and we were blown away! We will absolutely be returning to Dreams La Romana! The grounds and beach area are beautiful. There are 4 big pools, and 2 of them are infinity pools. There is also lots of nice shade at the beach. We were placed in a preferred club room with a swim-out pool, which was amazing. The swim-out pool was so quiet and private and the water was so refreshing! Yoel, the butler took care of our every need. We didn't get a chance to eat at all of the restaurants, but our favorites were The Jungle (casual dining of typical Dominican food) and the Seaside Grill, which is outdoors and overlooks the ocean. Felipe at The Jungle and William from the Seaside Grill were excellent! Don't miss the private pool overlooking the beach/ocean that you can rent for the day. It is well worth the price to have a completely private area and a butler to attend to anything you need. This was the absolute best part of the trip! Thank you Pedro for taking great care of us. We will be back in September!

This could be a very short review. Went last year, been this year, booked for next year. Absolutely love it. No idea what the pools are like, the sea is wonderful, sand like talcum powder and wading depth quite a long way out. good snorkelling nearby. Sailing, windsurfing, paddle boards and canoes. Aquarobics in the sea, great fun. When you've worked up an appetite the choice of restaurants is a amazing. Some reviewers complain about no bookings. We prefer that, who wants to queue in the mornings to book. The longest we ever waited for a table was 20 mins. so we sat and had a cocktail. Only thing I would suggest is that the live music on from 7 until 9 could go on until later. This may clash with the theatre shows but these are quite often aimed at families and not ideal for couples. Main problem, not enough hours in the day to enjoy everything!
