As you make your way to Dreams Dominicus La Romana, a blanket of blue comes into focus as you approach this seaside sanctuary. This is paradise, Dominican Republic style, where families and couples can reacquaint and singles can mingle with like-minded guests. The collection of rooms and suites, with canopied beds draped in luxe fabrics and beverage refrigerators stocked with a stash of complimentary drinks, are capsules of luxury. But it is the resort's signature Unlimited-Luxury®, program, a concept where just about everything is included, that truly dazzles even the most seasoned resort aficionados. Food and beverages, activities and recreational equipment, entertainment and clubs for kids and teens are all included in your stay.

The facilities were beautifully, very clean and did not feel crowded despite being full. The garden room felt like we were in a beautiful part of a jungle. Pools are clean and the beach is well maintained. We felt the hotel was good value for the money. The only caveat is, don't expect good quality wines unless you pay extra. Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend to couples or friends for a relaxing and safe trip.

We chose this hotel for our second wedding anniversary, expecting a luxury experience to match the occasion. While the beach is undeniably spectacular and easily the property's only redeeming quality, the rest of the stay was a profound disappointment. The service was a far cry from the five-star hospitality we paid for. The staff appeared unhappy and disinterested; we never once felt the "above and beyond" effort you’d expect at this price point. We received 2-star service at best. However, the food was the true low point. Several meals were flat-out inedible, but the "sushi" at Sakura was on another level of bad. I have never had worse sushi in my life. To have a milestone anniversary dinner ruined by food that was literally difficult to swallow is inexcusable. We felt bad leaving the sushi without eating it but we just could not eat it. We would not recommend this place to people who expect high end service and attention to detail. I think it could be a decent hotel if they managed expectations better for what they actually are, but the other Dreams hotels we've stayed at are way above the quality of this one.

Our recent vacation was nothing short of spectacular. This resort sets a high standard for service, cleanliness, and natural beauty. Resort Highlights: Dining: The food was both plentiful and impressively diverse, catering to all tastes with high-quality options. Accommodations: Our room was kept immaculately clean, and the room service was exceptionally attentive throughout our stay. Beach & Nature: The beach is pristine with ample seating and shade. The marine life is a true highlight; we were able to see starfish, turtles, rays, barracudas, lobsters, and even a manatee right in the water. Outstanding Staff Members: The service was elevated by several individuals who deserve special recognition: Juliana (Animation Team): Thank you for the incredible energy and the constant positive vibes you brought to every activity. Freddy Feliz (Coastal Grill): Truly the funniest and most cheerful waiter we have ever met. He anticipated our needs perfectly, refilling drinks before they were even empty. Jency Perez (Maravento): An incredibly attentive professional who ensured we had a wonderful and memorable evening. Wilber Huguin (El Camino): A fantastic waiter whose dedication and service quality were outstanding. We highly recommend this resort for anyone seeking a perfect blend of relaxation, excellent service, and vibrant marine nature.

Down at Secrets from Feb 15-25. We decided to stay at Secrets for the quiter stay from kids and then upgraded to Preferred on check in which has been worth it for the private beach area, alone, well at least for me as it is nice not having to come down at dawn to get a chair. Has been an incredible stay. Would definitely consider coming back! Staff always pleasant and helpful. Food has been excellent as well, including at the buffett lol. I LOVE, especially as a nurse, that hand sanitizer is offerred right upon arriving at a restaurant and that at the buffett, most options are handed to you by staff vs. multiple guests hands using the same utensils which may reduce germ spread. I am not a 'germ phobe' but do not want to be sick on vacation! Shout out to Diorka for always keeping our drinks filled :) at the beach. Only 'negative' and likely applies to some particular people only and some people, like myself, may actually call it a positive: Local beach is right nearby and while it seemed to bother some people here at the resort I have noticed, I liked seeing their lively vibe. Seemed like a lot of fun over there, had music going, and in no way interfered with the resort area, so I did not understand the fuss. But I did notice some seemed uncomfortable with that, no idea why though tbh.
