This was our second time back. We arrived 4th of July and stayed for a week. We previously stayed in December 2016. This time we were upgraded to preferred club. We brought with us 3 other couples. We decided to come back because we had such an amazing time the first time and wanted to share it with our family. They put on a fun fourth of July show with a BBQ and party on the beach. Breathless was open next door finally and we loved the 3pm foam parties everyday. Only thing I thought was unfair was that you can not eat or visit the resort at any time unless you get a pass but they use all of our facilities. That is not very fair especially since we pay the same if not more to stay where we are. Wild orchid is connected and honestly to us it was just like one huge resort you do not notice it is two hotels in one. Their are four pools. Two more quiet and the others with activity. There is always something to do from cooking, to wine tasting, volleyball, canoeing, snorkeling, parasailing and more just take a look at the secrets app. We never had trouble getting a spot by the pools or the beach. It is such a beautiful beach probably one of the best we have been to! Way better than Cabo and Cancun. The food is amazing. Our favorites were the Jamaican and the Italian. All of the restaurants have outside or inside seating. Amazing service. Try them all! Their is not buffet for dinner but that is not missed with all the variety of restaurants to choice from. Lunch at the buffet was good a lot to pick from. Loved the wraps and sweet potato fries at the restaurant by the pool for lunch. The barefoot grill is alright just a bunch of greasy foods with no plates. Loved the jerk chicken carts everyday around noon and midnight! Room service was great took about 30-45 minutes to arrive. Loved breakfast with mimosas. Never went to the buffet during breakfast though. The night life is fantastic. From shows to movies to the amazing club you will always find something to do. The club is a lot of fun at night and open till 2 am. We went every night just about. Great service and good music. Their is also a shuttle to Margaritaville. We did that one night and it was a lot of fun. Also we did an excursion to Negril on a catermeran. That was an all day thing (6 hours) but it was very fun and included snorkeling, transfer, drinks, and food. I would recommend going in December though. July was very hot. We would defiantly return again we love it. It is great for couples and families looking for a fun and relaxing time.

First impressions were very good and the reception we received was excellent. Room with sea view was large ,clean and comfortable. Various places to eat and apart from breakfast and lunch, not buffets. Food was OK, some places far better than others. Wine choice is a bit poor unless you want to pay for it but,all spirits were premium brand. Everywhere including the beach was spotless and sea very inviting. Entertainment at night very good ,some nights better than others. If you get the opportunity upgrade to "Preferred" . A quieter part of the hotel and a private bit of the beach. The staff, from the concierge to the cleaners were excellent, friendly, always a smile and very helpful Now the bit that spoiled it. They call Brits abroad but we are nothing compared to some loud, foul mouthed ,ignorant people who fly in for weekend jolley's from a nearby continent.I am not a prude and I like a drink and a laugh but their is a limit. There was supposed to be a dress code for dinner but these people chose to ignore it,sitting with caps on,shorts, tee shirts etc. When we questioned the staff about it they said it was all about keeping these people happy no matter what they got up to. I must state that they were not all like this but certainly over the weekends they seem to make up a large portion of the clientele. It is a beautiful place ,well worth a visit but just be aware of the downside which certainly spoils it for many

My mom and I stayed here August 28th -September 1st, 2017; we wanted a relaxing get away and that's exactly what we got. Our room was nicely decorated, the staff was extra nice and helpful. Calvin was always on point at breakfast with the omelettes and jerk chicken on the boardwalk. Even though there were mostly couples here, we enjoyed ourselves. The Spa was to die for. We spent a whole day at the spa. The entertainment was really good to, each night was something new. I loved that that we could choose anytime to go to dinner and reservations were not required like other resorts. The food was delicious. Can you tell we had an awesome time here...

Secrets St. James Montego Bay - the food was varied but not good quality. I'd rate the food a 3 at most. The bed was incredibly comfortable which was important to me with a bad back. The outdoor areas are extremely well maintained BUT the rooms need a maintenance overhaul. Our sink & toilet were clogged, our showers leaked horribly all over the floor of bathroom. Had to use many towels just to safely walk. We were in room 3217. Our sliding door didn't lock so maintenance spent 4 hours in our room on our first night. Not too conducive to setting the vacation mood :( the people who deliver room service were wonderful! Overall I'd consider a return trip for the right price but not the $600 US per night we paid. Entertainment was good & felt EXTREMELY SAFE on the gated property šŸ˜Š

Fantastic staff, service and food. Beautiful properties and plenty of activities daily and the staff handling those at the pool decks were great! Our concierge was wonderful and hooked us up with a couple of great day trips as well.
