Perfect destination for a getaway with girlfriends. We enjoyed great food, drinks and especially wonderful service. From bartenders to lifeguards to housekeepers, I would absolutely recommend treating yourself to the Secrets properties in Montego Bay. The rooms were crisp and cool (refreshing for a humid island) and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. One afternoon, I was relieved that the weather was poor bc it gave me an excuse to enjoy reading a book in bed! Expect lively interactions with the staff who immediately make you feel like family. Entertainment was top notch with daily activities and nightly shows overlooking the water. We even enjoyed two evenings of dancing, one in the disco and one right on the beach with a live band! I even fulfilled a life long dream of playing the stell drums! Be sure to ask Romaine the bartender for a Hummingbird and don't miss Bingo with J'Amazing!

We have vacationed at 7 Secrets resorts and I have to say this property is the most beautiful of them all! The staff is helpful, kind, and fun. The food is good (I wouldn't say excellent because it is not excellent). The best meal is breakfast at the World Cafe. I found the entrees to be mediocre but the appetizers were outstanding. It rained 3 out of the 7 days we were there and I was disappointed to see no indoor activities. There is no "lobby", so there were no indoor games. At Secrets Silversands, when it rained, we were given 50% off massages at the Spa, a tour of the restaurants, etc. Here it was more like "go to your room and wait until the rain stops". I found that odd. The water aerobics was at a different time each day, which was also odd, and usually held at the St. James pool so I never knew when it was held. I always exercise and didn't have that opportunity, other than walking the property. The fun thing was the Jerk Chicken truck. My husband ate from it daily. The resort is amazingly clean and they are constantly cleaning. The little shops are great, especially Staysie's. Her stuff is gorgeous and reasonably priced and she gets new stuff everyday. The Coco Cafe was amazing serving Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee all day long. The entertainment was lacking. Usually, there is a show a night, but here there was not. I wish we had known that trips on the catamaran were free! We would have used that. The thing I loved the most was the grounds. They were stunning and they were kept up by Marlon. It was really a nice trip. I wish the weather had been better. I would highly recommend it, even though it is extremely expensive!

If they would fire the management and get someone who knew how to train a staff this place would be great. We had to pay to get chairs at the pool. Didn’t even know there was a waitress around the pool until our third day. The service is horrible. They could careless about being helpful. They wouldn’t even say good morning to you. Expect three hours for dinner each night because we would wait at least 30 minutes between courses. In a positive note, the location is nice and the buildings are in great shape. If only they could develop a decent staff and it needs to start from the top down.

Despite the rain it didn’t dampen our spirits! The food was great the drinks were great the service was great and the people we met there were awesome! Didn’t use the pool and only wet my feet on the beach as the weather rapidly turned to wind and rain!
