First of all, my sister and I spent a week at this all inclusive resort from February 11-18, 2018 and had a great experience. The staff are amazing, friendly, hardworking and helpful! We upgraded to an ocean view room and it cost an extra $196.00 CAD. It was well worth the extra cost as the view is amazing. Our room had one king size and one double bed and they were very comfortable. It was very roomy with a huge shower, tub, jacuzzi tub on the balcony. The cleaning staff did a very good job 2xday! Nightly turn down service. The food was really good in all the restaurants. If you can't find something to eat you're just too picky. The seafood restaurant had a delicious salmon. There was lots to do each day with the entertainment staff around the pool. Zumba, stretch class, water aerobics, diving, water volleyball etc. There are three large swimming pools and of course the beach! One negative thing was even though the signage says no saving chairs, people would have all the beach chairs saved by 8:30 am. The chairs would sit empty for a few hours however you could always find empty ones by noon. I wouldn't recommend this resort for the younger generation that is looking to party at night. The nightly entertainment was good but once it was finished around 9:30 the only places to go on the resort was the lobby bar or on the top floor there was an open air sushi bar. Sushi was so good! They close down everything at 12:30am. I went to check out the spa but it was ridiculously expensive for all services. Did not partake. The beach was beautiful. Ocean waves were so much fun! If you're looking for great staff, food, rooms oh and top shelf alcohol, this is an awesome choice!

Food is a little repetitive, the Mexican restaurant was a little disappointing and the entertainment was kinda hokey but other than these trivial gripes the place is great. The staff here are super friendly, all smiles and very hard working. Particularly Geraldo the pool waiter. This guy is so nice and fast serving the drinks...my wife loves the dude. No problem getting chairs by the pool, beach fills up a little faster. The lady complaining about the security is a neverhappy malcontent. One born every minute. I would highly recommend this resort.

This hotel is gorgeous. The open lobby and bar are very inviting. The pools are lovely and very clean. There are plenty of chairs for sunbathing. Security doesn't allow one to save a chair without using it. I traveled throughout Mexico and I have never had such a genuinely attentive staff. Josue in the World Cafe would bring me coffee and fruit immediately upon my arrival for breakfast. In every restaurant, the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. With a few exceptions, the food was delicious. Portofino and Oceana were the best. The entertainment is low key but done well. I enjoyed that it wasn't loud, silly and amateur like many resorts .The folkloric dancing was very beautiful. The spa was a little pricey but the procedures were done very professionally. Elia gave me a deep facial cleaning where the results were visible to my friends. I also appreciated how security supervised the hotel and guests. Bad behavior is nipped in the bud! Liquor is very weak like most inclusive resorts. The wine was lively and one can pay for special wines from their cellar. I would definitely return!

I've been to Mexico about a dozen times now…our one week at Dreams was by far the most relaxing trip I've ever had (I'm a sixtyish age man spending time with my wife, older parents and younger sister's family - 9 of us in total)…some thoughts: • yes, there are places to stay where one might get better evening entertainment, but that is not what I wanted…I wanted to relax and Dreams delivered in spades… • food - great…not out of this world, but who actually delivers out of this world? I suggest no-one really does…the main buffet area was fantastic, great variety, excellent themes, loved eating by the pool…great bbq themes…loved the 24 hour Co-co café, superb sandwiches & pretzels…LOL. • location…there are 3 pools, each with varying temperatures, LOVED the 2 warmer pools and hot-tub…not very busy at all, we could always secure places to sit…the beach area is world-class…we walked along the beach every day - that was amazing, I swam every day, both pool & beach - fantastic…I was able to catch numerous cat-naps down by the beach - amazing relaxation… • service - extraordinary - everyone was courteous, kind, pleasant & helpful…Dreams has a world-class employee represented by a fellow who delivers drinks by the pool - his name is "Julio" and one needs to go to this facility JUST to be served by this man…it was extraordinary. The folks making the omelettes and egg based meals in the main restaurant were amazing…great breakfast options and service…in fact, everyone at this resort provided excellent service… • rooms - excellent…clean, everything worked…absolutely loved the jacuzzi on our balcony… • some folks & reviews have commented negatively about staff enforcing pool related rules…we did not experience that at all…there are rules and these should be observed, gosh, not sure why this is so difficult to accept…when we were asked to move our drinks, etc., these folks were kind & courteous, not a big deal. :) Summary - we would go back in a heartbeat…

My wife and I spent a fabulous week at Dreams Villamagna and we were pleasantly surprised to have received top notch service in the restaurants and bars as well as service at the beach and pools. The restaurants, especially the Italian ala carte were really quite good. My wife and I both loved CoCo, the specialty coffee and 24 hour snack place. The staff were very attentive to us and were very friendly and easygoing. The entertainment staff, especially Mateo and Jonathan were fabulous. From Spanish lessons to Pool Zumba, Aquasize to Ping Pong and beach volleyball, as well as the bike ride from hell, we enjoyed it all and especially related to their friendliness and personalities. We upgraded to an Ocean view room which was spacious and very comfortable on the top floor. We were enthralled by the views and the sunsets. Our camarista (Ana) was fantastic and our turn down camarista was very good. The complex was not far from alot of activities if you so wished to do some. The open air bus that goes up and down the boulevard is quite nice. We had so much fun and sun that we have discussed staying for as much as a month next time down. Thank you everyone for an awesome vacation.
